Report – Inter Milan Line Up RB Leipzig Star As Backup Target For Atalanta Forward
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.
This week, bombshell reports emerged regarding Inter Milan's interest in Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
The Nerazzurri have already agreed terms with the Nigerian.
Moreover, Lookman has made his preference crystal clear. He wants to join Inter Milan, and will reject other suitors. At least for the time being.
Therefore, Inter are advancing in talks with Atalanta. Yesterday, they made their first official offer to La Dea for the Nigerian.
Inter Line Up Lois Openda As Backup Target To Lookman
However, Inter are well aware that there's no guarantee that they'll be able to sign Lookman.
Atalanta have rejected Inter's opening bid of €40 million for the former RB Leipzig forward.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri are also considering some other attacking targets.
And if Inter cannot sign a player who once played for Leipzig in the form of Lookman, they could instead aim to sign a current one – Lois Openda.
The Belgian has been on the Nerazzurri's radar for some time. And they are still monitoring him.
A move for Openda would be contingent on being unable to sign Lookman, however. Then, SportMediaset report, he would become their top target.

Buffalo Bills mock draft update: Training camp edition
The Buffalo Bills are consistently among the top teams in the AFC, mainly because of quarterback Josh Allen. Allen is the reigning NFL MVP for good reason. Historically, the Bills have relied heavily on Allen and haven't always done their best in putting players around him to make his life easier. When we put together our pre-training camp mock draft update, we decided to take the first two picks and give Allen some help with an elite offensive lineman and a sleeper playmaker at wide receiver. Then we finished things up with a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. FIrst round - OG Emmanuel Pregnon - Oregon Pregnon comes to Oregon as one of the top interior offensive linemen in college football. We love him as a day one starting guard who will anchor the middle of the offensive line with his athleticism and power. Second round - WR Carnell Tate - Ohio State Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka stole all the headlines last season, but this year we expect Tate to pair up with Smith and be a significant playmaker with his size and speed, taking advantage of coverage mismatches. Third round - LB Lander Barton - Utah Barton isn't the biggest or strongest inside linebacker in the draft but he has a high football IQ, excellent instincts and can work sideline-to-sideline. British Open cut line: Bryson DeChambeau squeaks into the weekend, while Brooks Koepka is among big names heading home
Bryson DeChambeau woke up Friday morning with a 7-over first round at the British Open around his neck. He knew he'd need to do something special in order to make the weekend, and he did, firing a 6-under 65 to finish the day at 1-over to make the British Open cut. "I woke up this morning and I said, you know what, I can't give up," DeChambeau said. "My dad always told me never to give up, just got to keep going, and that's what I did today. I was proud of the way I fought back, really persevered through some emotionally difficult moments, and to hold myself together and not get pissed and slam clubs and throw things and all that like I wanted to." That perseverance rewarded him with two weekend tee times, which he did not get a year ago. The top 70 and ties make the cut at The Open. That number toggled between 1-over and 2-over all afternoon. It finally settled at 1-over, meaning a birdie on 17 loomed large for DeChambeau. Notable names who are on the wrong side of the cut line include Jason Day (+2), Zach Johnson (+3), Patrick Cantlay (+3), Patrick Reed (+5), Min Woo Lee (+6), Brooks Koepka (+7), Sahith Theegala (+7), Collin Morikawa (+7) and Adam Scott (+9). For Cantlay, Reed and Koepka, missing the cut is a blow to their Ryder Cup chances, in that they're not giving captain Keegan Bradley good reasons for him to make them a captain's pick. The last time the tournament was played at Royal Portrush, in 2019, the cut stood at +1. The lowest cuts relative to par since 1969, when the R&A began keeping stats for the category, were -1 in both 2006 (Royal Liverpool) and 1990 (St. Andrews). The lowest cut by total strokes was 141 in 2021 (Royal St. George's); a +2 cut would be 144 strokes.

Oliver Solberg continues dream Rally1 return to extend WRC Estonia lead
Oliver Solberg continued his dream return to the World Rally Championship top flight by extending his Rally Estonia lead to 12.4s over Hyundai's Ott Tanak on Friday. Solberg produced a stunning display to claim his first WRC stage wins, making the most of a special opportunity to join the factory Toyota squad on Estonia's fast gravel stages this weekend. After only two days of testing to prepare for the event, Solberg and co-driver Elliott Edmondson, starting eighth on the road, quickly gelled with the new machinery to stun the Rally1 regulars. Solberg claimed an emotional first WRC stage win on the day's second test before adding to that tally on stage four, the second pass through the Peipsiääre test. After building an 8.5s lead over Tanak at the midday service, the son of 2003 world champion Petter Solberg maintained an impressive pace across the three afternoon stages. Oliver Solberg added a third fastest time in stage seven, beating Hyundai's Adrien Fourmaux by 0.3s in the process, before ending the day with a spectacular run through the stage eight asphalt super special. The Swede almost topped the scores in an impromptu drift competition laid on by the organisers during the stage. 'Today was the best day of my life - to lead the rally, win stages and have this amazing feeling in the car. I was like - I want to drift and have some fun,' said Solberg. Oliver Solberg, Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Estonian Tanak, disadvantaged by starting second on the road, battled balance issues with his Hyundai, which showed little signs of improving on the afternoon stages. Tanak claimed two stage wins but was unable to make any inroads on Solberg. Tanak's Hyundai team-mate Thierry Neuville made progress with his i20 N as the day progressed, having encountered problems adapting to Hankook's gravel tyres in the morning. The reigning world champion and overnight leader managed to leapfrog Toyota's Kalle Rovanpera across the afternoon to end the day in third, 14.2s behind. Three-time Rally Estonia winner Rovanpera continued to struggle to unlock pace from the Hankook rubber. The double world champion, who has previously dominated this event, felt his performance to finish Friday in fourth [+20.1s] was the best he could achieve with his GR Yaris package. 'One more day of struggle like everyday this year, of course we will try to find something for tomorrow - a better road position will help. I think it's going to be chin to the chest and towards another disappointment like always,' said a frustrated Rovanpera. After a slow start to Friday, Fourmaux delivered an impressive pace in the afternoon to climb from seventh to fifth [+29.8s], helped by a fastest time on stage six. Elfyn Evans, Scott Martin, Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Toyota's Takamoto Katsuta slipped to sixth, ending Friday with the joint fastest time on stage eight win, which he shared with Neuville. Championship leader Elfyn Evans was among those that found the going tough on Estonia's roads, with his task further hampered by opening the road. The Toyota driver dropped to seventh [+41.4s] across the afternoon loop. Team-mate Sami Pajari recovered from an intermittent power issue that plagued his morning to end Friday, clocking times closer to the outright pace, to sit in eighth [+1m05.1s]. Martins Sesks put the disappointment of a stage three spin behind him to lead M-Sport-Ford's charge in ninth [+1m11.4s], ahead of Josh McErlean [+1m30.0s] and Gregoire Munster [+1m40.6s]. Nine stages, comprising 125.75 competitive kilometres, await the crews on Saturday.
