In an interview with Hauterrfly, Surveen explained, 'You go down South, you need to put on weight. You come back, you need to lose weight. For the South, you're very slim, very thin, because bosoms nahi honge... Kuch hilega nahi, kuch bounce nahi karega...'
She further noted that although these expectations still exist within the industry, the manner in which people demand physical changes has become more refined and sophisticated.
Earlier, such demands were made directly, so she used to respond to them just as bluntly.
About her experience in TV
Surveen recalled her struggling days in the television industry, particularly working with a director on Kahiin Toh Hoga, who used to treat everyone on set like cattle. While she acknowledged that the company backing the project gave her a break, she stated that she does not support the way people were treated, stressing that paying someone for their work does not mean you own them.

Surveen also shared that, due to her background in television, she missed out on several film opportunities early in her career because filmmakers considered her 'overexposed.'
Surveen is known for her performances in projects like 'Sacred Games,' 'Hate Story 2', 'Rana Naidu' and more.

When Abhishek Bachchan reflected on being compared to Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai: ‘It's never going to get easy..'
Abhishek Bachchan has lived much of his life in the spotlight, not just because of his own acting career, but also due to the family he belongs to. As the son of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan , and the husband of international icon Aishwarya Rai , Abhishek 's every move has been closely watched and often compared. But how does he really feel about constantly being measured against the towering achievements of his father and wife? In a past interview with CNBC-TV18, the 'Guru' actor had opened up about the long-standing comparisons and how he's learnt to deal with them, with grace, maturity, and a deep sense of pride in his family. 'If you are comparing me to the best...' Speaking honestly about how it feels to be compared time and again to his famous family members, the 'Dhoom' actor said, 'It's never going to get easy. But after 25 years of being asked the same question, I have become immune to it. If you are comparing me to my father, you are comparing me to the best. If you are comparing me to the best, somewhere I believe that maybe I am worthy of being considered among these great names. I look at it like that. ' Proud son, proud husband The 'Bunty Aur Babli' actor didn't shy away from talking about the people closest to him. With warmth and sincerity, he expressed his admiration for his family and their achievements. 'My parents are my parents, my family is my family, my wife is my wife, and I am immensely proud of them and their achievements and what they continue to do.' Learning from the best It's clear that the 'Manmarziyaan' actor has a deep admiration for his father's work ethic. Even at 82, Amitabh Bachchan continues to lead by example, something that fuels Abhishek's own dreams and determination. 'We are sitting here in a wonderful AC room in Mumbai, doing this interview, having a nice cup of coffee, and that 82-year-old (Amitabh Bachchan) is shooting for KBC from 7 in the morning. He's leading by example. I want to be like that. When I go to bed at night, all I think is that when I am 82, I want my daughter to be able to say that about me, 'Hey, my dad's 82 and he's still at it.'' Abhishek Bachchan also shared that everything he is today is because of his family, and he works for their honour, past, present, and future. He said he's proud of the name given by his grandfather but even prouder of the family surname. He hopes his daughter Aaradhya and future generations will value and carry forward the same belief system. Not Just Making Criminals Sing: Top Bengal IPS Officer Pens Item Number For Upcoming Cop Drama
Murlidhar Sharma, inspector general in West Bengal, has written the track Shor Machaa, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Rana Mazumder for the Bengali film Mrigaya In a surprising crossover, senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Murlidhar Sharma, inspector general in West Bengal, has penned the lyrics for a Hindi item number in the upcoming Bengali film Mrigaya, releasing on June 27. Known for his sharp investigative skills during his terms with Bengal and Kolkata police, Sharma enters the world of film music with the energetic track Shor Machaa, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Rana Mazumder. The song opens with the line 'DJ pe mast koi gaana baja, jab tak yeh saans hai shor machaa" (Play a wild song on DJ… make noise as long as this breath lasts). This high-energy item number from the cop drama has already become a hit. While many assumed a seasoned Bollywood or Tollywood lyricist penned it, the creator is the 2005-batch IPS officer who has a passion for Urdu ghazals and poetry. Sharma, who began writing nearly 30 years ago during his student days, is deeply influenced by Urdu literature and has penned numerous ghazals. However, writing for a commercial film, especially a dance number, was unexpected. In a conversation with News18, Sharma recalled his initial hesitation. 'I was approached by music director Rana Mazumder and Debasish Dutta (OC, Maniktala Police Station, and also the writer of the film). When they told me it was for an item song, I declined. I usually write Urdu ghazals born out of personal reflection, not based on scripted situations. I said it wasn't my cup of tea. But they persuaded me. I told them I will try. I scribbled a few lines and sent them to Rana Mazumder. He liked them. Now that it's out, I'm really happy with how it turned out," Sharma added. Directed by Abhirup Ghosh, Mrigaya features Ritwik Chakraborty, Vikram Chatterjee, Anirban Chakrabarti, and Saurav Das. The story revolves around a gripping murder investigation, promising suspense and intense action sequences. The filmmakers say approaching Sharma was natural; he is well-known among them as a gifted lyricist. With Mrigaya, viewers will see a rare fusion: police action on screen and a police officer's poetry in a song, proving creativity and public service are not always mutually exclusive. ACP Pradyuman returns to CID after brief exit from show, tries to kill Daya in new promo; fans say ‘legend is back'
Actor Shivaji Satam's iconic character ACP Pradyuman has returned to CID in less than two months after he exited the show. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Netflix India shared a promo from an upcoming episode. However, ACP Pradyuman seemed to have lost his memory. (Also Read | Shivaji Satam's iconic character ACP Pradyuman to return to CID soon?) The clip began with ACP Pradyuman aiming a gun at Daya (Dayanand Shetty), who looked surprised. As Daya realised it was his boss, he tried to make conversation with him, but the ACP warned that he would shoot him. When Daya tried to remind him that they worked together, ACP Pradyuman said in Hindi, "CID? So you are a cop? I've to settle an old score with the police." He then continued shooting at Daya. In the next clip, an emotional Daya informed Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) that ACP Pradyuman is alive. The video was shared with the caption, "Iska matlab samjhe Daya? ACP Pradyuman zinda hai. Dekhiye CID ke naye episodes har Shanivaar aur Ravivaar raat 10 baje, Netflix par bhi.#CIDonNetflix (Did you understand this Daya? ACP Pradyuman is alive. Watch new episodes of CID every Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm, on Netflix." A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) Reacting to the post, a fan said, "ACP Pradyuman, the legend is back. Good news." A comment read, "CID, the cult show." A person wrote, "ACP Pradyuman sir is finally back!!!!! Yayyyyyyy." An Instagram user wrote, "CID trying to remake Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in Hindi with ACP as Phil Coulson." "GOAT is back, now CID is CID, without him, it's nothing," commented another fan. Recently, Parth Samthaan had said that he is replacing ACP Pradyuman in the show. He had joined CID as ACP Ayushmann. In April, quoting a source close to the production house, Times of India had reported, 'ACP Pradyuman is an iconic character and it can never die. Shivaji Satam will be back on the show in a few weeks.' In an episode aired in April, the CID team tried to capture criminal Barboza (Tigmanshu Dhulia). But he trapped the ACP and seemingly killed him in an explosion. However, the death was not shown on screen. Sony TV had confirmed his death in a social media post. The iconic TV serial made a comeback earlier this year. CID is streaming on Netflix apart from Sony Entertainment and Sony LIV. The audience can watch new episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm. CID made a comeback after six years. The hit series CID went off the air in October 2018, wrapping up a successful 20-year run.
