'I might've just gone through a separation — that little separation, I'm sure nobody remembers that," the 56-year-old quipped, before adding, 'It was kind of cathartic to go right from that.'
Furthermore, Aniston opened up about how the creators were a bit nervous to offer her the film while she was going through a similar devastating situation in her personal life.
'So when they came to me ... they were a little nervous about making the offer, 'cause they thought, 'Oh, is that insensitive? Is it inappropriate?' But I actually thought, 'What a great opportunity,'' the 'Murder Mystery' actress claimed. Explaining the statement, Jennifer said that she knew the film would help her emotionally, just as a human being, in addition to serving the script and the character – which it eventually did.
