After Mukesh Ambani's Reliance withdraws 'Operation Sindoor' trademark, THIS director announces film on India-Pakistan war with same title
Reliance Industries have recently released a statement that Jio Studios has withdrawn its trademark application for 'Operation Sindoor.' The company, led by billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani, said that they have withdrawn its application, which was filed by a junior in the company without authorisation. Amid this, Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and The Content Engineer have officially announced a new film titled Operation Sindoor, along with the phrase 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', evoking themes of courage and patriotism.
The film is inspired by India's strategic response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, that occurred on 22 April, 2025. The poster of Operation Sindoor features a striking image of a female solider standing with her back to the viewer. She is dressed in an army uniform, holding a rifle, while applying sindoor (vermillion) to her hair. The backdrop is filled with visual elements such as tanks, barbed wire and flying jets soaring above, depicting themes of bravery and patriotism.
The title Operation Sindoor written boldly, with the second 'O' replaced by a smear of vermillion. The phrase 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', in tricolour adds with the expression of love, loyalty and pride for India. View this post on Instagram

The operation's title, Sindoor, in the film refers the disturbing nature of the Pahalgam Attack, during which terrorists targeted men, some of whom were newly married, on the basis of their religious identity. The film is based on the real-life operation conducted by Indian armed forces, on the intervening night of May 6 and 7. The mission destroyed nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Directed by Uttam Maheshwari, the film is expected to showcase a gripping and emotional plot. The film's cast isn't announced yet. Bankrolled by Nicky and Vicky Bhagnani, who previously produced psychological thriller starring Sonakshi Sinha, that is expected to release worldwide on May 30.
