This season spotlights three particular scents: Gris Dior with its floral and woody notes; sun-drenched Jasmin des Anges that is a syrupy twist on a citrus; and floral-fruity Dioriviera, designed to transport you to the south of France.

British fragrance house Penhaligon's is marking its 155th anniversary with a travelling exhibition. First unveiled in London in May 2025 , Eau So British has been to cities around the world and arrives in Singapore from Aug 2 to 3 to tell the story of the brand that started in 1870.
Trace its evolution from a barber shop to one of Britain's most storied perfume houses at the exhibition at ArtBlue Studio in Yong Siak Street.
At the Ingredient Bar, discover the raw materials that bring each scent to life, before venturing into a gallery of scents spotlighting prints of the brand's most beloved bottles.
Penhaligon's has also flown in five original pieces from its archives for a rare glimpse into its beginnings – including a silver candle container and a dainty fragrance bottle with a pink atomiser, said to be characteristic of early 20th-century British craftsmanship.

Forum: No right age to start doing what you love
Sign up now: Get ST's newsletters delivered to your inbox Sometimes, I feel like a retiree despite being actively employed. Not because I am slowing down, but because I have done things people often wait until retirement to do. I have dived deep into my passions of photography, and writing articles and books. I have given back to society in ways I never imagined: raising over $60,000 for a local charity and donating blood more than 50 times. I even started a social enterprise built around purpose and impact. But this isn't meant to be a list of credentials; it is proof of possibilities over time. Proof that you don't need to wait till the 'right age' or 'perfect timing' to start doing what lights you up. If you have even the slightest inclination to do something that makes you smile when no one's watching, something that you believe you will be proud of, please consider starting now. Man dies after falling at Oasis gig in London
Sign up now: Get ST's newsletters delivered to your inbox LONDON - A man in his 40s has died after falling at an Oasis concert at London's Wembley stadium, the police said on Aug 3. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who brought the iconic Britpop band back together for a blockbuster world tour this year, told the BBC they were 'shocked and saddened' by the fan's death at the Aug 2 evening gig. According to a spokesperson for the London Metropolitan Police, officers and medics were called to the scene after 10:00 pm (2100 GMT) following 'reports that a person had been injured' at the packed stadium. 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,' the spokesperson said, urging any witnesses to come forward. 'Our thoughts go out to his family,' a spokesperson for Wembley said, while adding that 'tonight's Oasis concert will go ahead as planned'. Aug 3's gig will be Oasis's last London date of the band's 41-gig reunion world tour after 16 years of estrangement between the famously volatile Gallaghers. The tour has sold around 900,000 tickets, with the group heading to Edinburgh next before its international leg takes them to the United States, Japan, Australia and Brazil. AFP
