Priest in Rome looks eerily similar to very famous actor – and it's his brother
The conclave gathered again today in Rome to vote on Pope Francis' successor. And with all eyes on the Vatican, there's one priest in Rome who might be used to the cameras thanks to his very famous brother.
Voting for the new Pope will continue as black smoke poured out of the Sistine Chapel last night and this morning, but not all attention has been on the chimney. Some eagle-eyed viewers were quick to notice a familiar looking clergyman, Italian-American Catholic priest Father Robert Sirico, in Rome for the ancient proceedings this week, who looks oddly similar to a TV legend.
Father Sirico's younger sibling was the late Tony Sirico, famous for his role as Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri in iconic mob crime series The Sopranos. The Italian-American brothers grew up in a Catholic household in the East Flatbush neighbourhood of Brooklyn, in New York City.
People watching the news spotted the similarities between the two brothers, while Father Sirico, co-founder of the Christian think tank Acton Institute, gave his thoughts on the conclave. The brothers, who took wildly different paths in life, remained close friends.
Actor Tony died in 2022 and Father Robert announced his passing with an emotional tribute, saying: "It is with great sadness, but with incredible pride, love and a whole lot of fond memories, that the family of Gennaro Anthony 'Tony' Sirico wishes to inform you of his death on the morning of July 8, 2022."
He added: "I sensed that the end was coming. So as we sat in a private location, I pulled out a Confessional Stole from my pocket. I looked into his eyes and I said, 'How about that confession?' My brother agreed and I did one of the most significant things a priest can do for another human being. I absolved him of all of his sins."
Tony also made appearances in other iconic films like The Godfather: Part II and So Fine. Before his big break, the priest's brother had several run-ins with the law and was arrested 28 times including charges like robbery to assault and gun possession.
Father Robert however went straight into religion but had initially stepped away from Catholicism in his youth and explored the Pentecostal Church in the 1970s. The priest made headlines when he came out as gay and he later returned to the Catholic Church.
Cardinals entered the Sistine Chapel again this morning for more rounds of votes after their first secretive meeting failed to select a new Pope to lead the Catholic Church. The group of 133 cardinals did not reach a decision again, and more voting is scheduled for this afternoon.

JD Vance visit causes unexpected chaos at Clarkson's Farm
Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that US Vice President JD Vance's holiday has gotten in the way of filming for Clarkson's Farm. The presenter revealed on Instagram that a no-fly zone has been put in place around the Cotswolds manor the Vice President is vacationing it. Clarkson's farm is within the mile-wide area, meaning the program can't do any drone shots for the duration of the Vice President's stay. This includes Clarkson's right-hand man, Kaleb Cooper, who commented on Clarkson's post: 'My wheat got wet in the trailer last night as the convo stopped me in the rain in Chippy. 'I could easily have went on my way and got it in the shed without getting in the way.' Adding several laughing emojis, he noted: '(If) he had just drove around in a VW Polo nobody would know who he was.' Vance is staying in Dean Manor, a vast property situated in a small hamlet of just 12 houses in Oxfordshire, and the Secret Service now has a noticeable presence in the area as they attempt to maintain its security. According to The DailyMail, one local who did not wish to be named said: 'Dean Manor is as close as possible to Mr Clarkson's farm house as can be. I'm willing to bet Clarkson can see it out of his bedroom window.' But it's unlikely the pair will find themselves being particularly neighbourly, as Clarkson recently slammed Vance in his column after Vance described the UK as 'some random country that hasn't fought a war in 30 or 40 years' amid rising tensions between Europe and the US as to how Ukraine can be supported in their conflict with Russia. In response, Clarkson wrote, in part: 'I've searched for the right word to describe him and I think it's 't**t'. He also has no clue about history. 'Because far more recently than 30 or 40 years ago, as Vance claimed last week, our brave young men were being blown to pieces in some godforsaken desert to support whatever madcap scheme the American president had embarked upon that week.' Where to watch the filming of Spider-Man in Glasgow right now
I head along to St Vincent Street between Wellington and Hope Street, where fans can immerse themselves between yellow cabs and glance over into the curtained off areas. With a higher vantage point, you could catch a glimpse of superstars Tom Holland and Zendeya. I spoke to a Marvel fan, Mark Nelson, who had been photographing the scenes of the movie in Bothwell Street. "I got some nice pictures of whoever was in the suit. Certainly The Lloyds building is quite iconic, the way they can turn that into an American building is quite impressive." Now the filming on Bothwell Street is over he plans to move to the new locations, which are closer to the city centre. Renfield Street Make your way to Renfield Street - where just off West George Street they are currently filming an action scene involving lots of smoke and a New York city bus. I can hear directors shouting 'Action !' over loud megaphones and feel the excitement in the air. The energy from the fans is undeniable and it's great to be part of it. I spoke to some Glaswegians to get a better understanding of their experience of their day. Maggie Smith, a local office worker, said: "It does look as if you have a better spot further up the hill'. North Frederick Street Set off for North Frederick Street between George and Cathedral Street for the filming taking place on Cochrane Street (Friday August 22 to Tuesday August 26). From here you can get a view from afar, however, the high angle makes it easy to observe what will be the new bustling movie set and catch moments from the blocked off areas once filming begins. John Street Between George and Cochrane Street (Friday 22 to Sunday 24 August), John Street will be closed to the public for filming. Martha Street will become a great onlook point for eager movie fans to take photos and videos of sneak peeks until 10pm on Sunday August 24. Brooklyn Beckham torn to shreds by royal chef for 'ridiculous' idea
Brooklyn Beckham has been mocked over his pasta recipes in recent months, but he isn't the only entity to have caused carbohydrate based outrage Brooklyn Beckham has been mocked for his unusual recipe – from none other than Queen Elizabeth 's royal chef. In recent years Brooklyn, 26, has tried to build a career as a professional chef and gain authority in this space as he renews his vows with wife Nicola-Peltz Beckham. However, this has not been without controversy as he has been roasted by commentators for burning bacon in such classics as spaghetti carbonara. Now another professional chef, Darren McGrady, has been the latest figure criticise Brooklyn. The cook, who worked for t he late Queen, Princess Diana, Prince William, and Prince Harry, has responded to Brooklyn's decision to cook his pasta in sea water. Speaking to Heart Bingo, the professional chef suggested that if one were to tell Italians they were using this method they would shock them because seawater is too salty for cooking pasta. What's more, he said that using seawater was much more dangerous than just boiling tap water and adding salt because of how dirty seawater can be. He explained: "If you suggested this to an Italian I think they would be horrified. To be honest, it's ridiculous. 'If you're cooking in sea water it's going to be much saltier than you need for pasta. It's going to have bacteria, viruses, all sorts of pollutants in there. It's not something anyone should do at home. 'You just need fresh boiling water on a rolling boil. I like a pinch of salt in there, but some people don't. By adding salt you increase the temperature of the water, which helps it cook. Then add your pasta and give it a stir.' As well as commenting on Brooklyn's use of seawater, he also said that people should not add olive oil because, whilst it may prevent the pasta sticking together, it would have the side effect of stopping the pasta from sticking to the sauce. He explained: 'Never put olive oil in there to stop it sticking, you want the pasta to stick so it can stick to the sauce, that's the whole purpose of it. You're cooking it Al Dente so it has a bite to it. Then just strain it off and add your sauce.' This isn't the first time a pasta dish has caused controversy after a British recipe for the popular pasta dish enraged one Italian so much they wrote a letter to the British embassy in Rome calling for the recipe to be taken down. The recipe for cacio e pepe, a traditional dish comprising pasta, black pepper, and pecorino cheese, appeared on the Good Food website and soon after caused a minor diplomatic upset.
