Anna Camp defends age-gap romance
Anna Camp has defended her age-gap romance after going public with new girlfriend Jade Whipkey.
The Pitch Perfect star, 42, unveiled her new relationship with Jade, who is 18 years her junior, when they walked the red carpet together at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie Bride Hard last Wednesday (18.06.25) and now Anna has hit back at criticism by insisting Jade is "far more mature" than any of the men her age she's previously dated.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "Thought I'd jump on here ... and just sayI've dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them.
"We have more in common than anyone else I've ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything."
She added of the online trolls: "Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm wishing everyone well. Especially this Pride month."
The couple's red carpet debut came after Anna previously shared one of Jade's posts on her Instagram page which included a sweet tribute to the actress.
Alongside a picture of Anna, Jade wrote: "Her smile is a poem, her eyes are roses, her laugh is music for dancing."
The pair previously answered questions about their dating history in a TikTok question-and-answer video posted back in February.
In the clip, Anna opened up about her worst date, saying: "I left a date once because a guy was like 45 minutes late and I stayed and waited.
"Then he said that I was prettier in a movie than I was in person, because I'm an actor, and I was like: 'Okay, bye'."
Anna then asked Jade: "What about you, babe?" and she replied: "I think it was the only date I ever went on with a boy. And he kept calling me 'f*****' the whole time."
When asked what they "expect" during a date with a man, Anna replied: "I don't expect anything. Not anymore because I'm dating a woman, and it's great."
The actress was previously married Scrubs star Michael Mosley between 2010 and 2013 and she went on to wed her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin, 37, in 2016. The marriage broke down and they split in early 2019.

Johnstone — who won the 2021 series of Beauty and the Geek alongside her match Lachlan Mansell — said the online speculation was being fuelled by people 'sharing, gossiping, or silently watching', and asked for it to 'please stop' given it is 'a serious situation'. 'It's deeply disturbing to see people spreading false information, making assumptions and sharing screenshots,' the Melbourne jewellery boutique owner said. 'This kind of speculation is damaging and invasive and is something I take very seriously.' Police and forensics spent significant time at the Port Lincoln property after a man's body was discovered on Thursday afternoon. The accused — who also appeared on Beauty and the Geek, a program where socially awkward men share a mansion with attractive women — was arrested at the scene and taken to a local hospital, where she was charged with murder. 'I don't have any advice in relation to how long the man has been deceased. That will form part of our investigation,' SA Police State Operations Service Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott said on Friday. 'I'm not going to comment on the injuries of the deceased.' In China's campaign to win over hearts and minds worldwide, its latest weapon is a fanged, bunny-eared, arguably quite ugly plushie. The grinning fuzzy toy, called Labubu, is made by a Chinese company and has become a global craze. It has in recent months been toted by celebrities including Rihanna and David Beckham; set off brawls among competing shoppers in England; and prompted overnight stakeouts in Los Angeles. It has even shaped the travel itineraries of some devotees, who have planned trips to China around hopes of buying one there. Resale prices for the roughly $US30 ($46) figurine have run into the hundreds of dollars. 'I flew all the way to China just to visit the BIGGEST POP MART STORE IN THE WORLD,' read the caption on a TikTok video by one vlogger from the Philippines, Lianna Patricia Guillermo, referring to the company that makes Labubu. (Guillermo clarified in an interview that she had visited the store during a long layover in Shanghai.) The enthusiasm over Labubu may pass like any other viral trend. But it could also be another sign that China, which has struggled to build cultural cachet overseas amid long-standing concerns about its authoritarian politics, is starting to claim some victories. Loading Chinese state media outlets have sought to frame it that way. Lizzo and SZA hit the studio to work on new music
Lizzo and SZA have new music in the works. The pals - who previously teamed up on a remix of Lizzo's song Special in 2023 - have been teasing clips from the studio working on something for Lizzo's upcoming "mixtape".
