Morocco vs DR Congo: Preview & Score Prediction
Kick-off is at 8 p.m. Moroccan time (GMT+1), and fans can catch the action live on beIN Sport, CANAL+, New WorldTV, SuperSport, Azam Media, SABC, Ziggo, BAND, SportTV, and Arena Sport.
The Atlas Lionesses began their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Zambia and now need all three points to boost their chances of advancing. A win would also keep them in the race to top the group.
DR Congo, on the other hand, are under pressure after a heavy 4-0 defeat to Senegal in their first game. Another loss would see them crash out of the competition.
The two teams last met in a friendly in June 2024, with Morocco winning 3-2. That gives Jorge Vilda's side a slight edge, but the stakes are much higher this time.
Morocco coach Vilda is expected to rely on experienced names like Ghizlane Chebbak and Ibtissam Jraidi, while also hoping to see an improved performance at the back after some shaky defending against Zambia.
A win on Wednesday would allow Morocco to approach their final group game against Senegal with more breathing room. Anything less, and it could be a tense finale.
