The 2024 NFL season was a tough one for San Francisco 49ers superstar running back Christian McCaffrey. Despite huge expectations, injuries completely ruined the year for him.

McCaffrey is going to be a massive part of leading San Francisco back to the postseason. He's ready to make that happen.
On Wednesday, the star running back spoke out with a major update about his current injury status and how he's feeling.
"I feel great," McCaffrey said. "I think this offseason I spent a lot of time kind of building back a base starting from scratch, so a lot of it was rehab and wanted to put myself in a position where I didn't miss a day of OTAs and I could practice and play football again, be healthy and not miss a day, and I did that."
Last season, McCaffrey carried the football just 50 times for 202 yards and no touchdowns, while catching 15 passes for 146 yards in four games. Back in 2023, he racked up 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns on 272 carries to go along with 67 receptions for 564 yards and seven more scores.

A healthy version of McCaffrey is among the best offensive playmakers in the NFL.
Having him back at full health will help the overall team success, but the big winner will also be quarterback Brock Purdy. With his star running back in the backfield, a lot of pressure will fall off of his shoulders.
Hopefully, the 29-year-old superstar will be able to stay healthy for the entirety of the 2025 season. He's been through a lot, but he's in great health and spirits entering the upcoming year as he looks to rebound and get his career back on track.
