Strictly Come Dancing sign up first drag act for main series – but which male pro will they dance with?
The entertainer - known off stage as Stockton-on-Tees born Chris Dennis, 45, was one of three names confirmed by the BBC yesterday.

La Voix is expected to dance with a male pro on the new series and they are no stranger to our TV screens having previously appeared singing on Britain's Got Talent on ITV and competing on the BBC 's RuPaul's Drag Race.
A show insider said: 'Producers already trialled having a drag artist on the show in the form of Tayce who actually won the Christmas Special last year with Kai Widdrington.
'La Voix is a bit more of an old-school entertainer who's a little closer to the traditional Strictly audience in terms of style and vibe.
'It's just another example of the Strictly execs constantly pushing at the boundaries and making changes that the show's audiences then have to adapt to.'
Any man partnered with La Voix would have to be tall, as Chris is around 5ft 7ins tall in stocking feet and would be almost 6ft in dance shoes.
Although this is the first drag artist to appear on the main show in the UK, that's not the case with spin-off shows in other countries.
In 2022 the line up on America's Dancing with the Stars included Shangela, real name DJ Pierce, and in 2019 Courtney Act dazzled on the Australian version of the show.
Yesterday the BBC also confirmed The Sun's exclusive story that EastEnders story Balvinder Sopal was joining Strictly this year.
We revealed last month how she was being lined up to join the show and followed in the footsteps of a long line of actors from Albert Square who competed.

Spider-Man stunt double seen racing through Glasgow on military vehicle
Hundreds of Spider-Man fans have watched an actor in the costume of the web-slinging superhero performing stunts through the streets of Glasgow. On Wednesday, the Marvel character was seen on Hutcheson Street in the city centre. One stunt showed Tom Holland's stunt double racing down the street at breakneck speed while he grabbed onto the back of an armoured military vehicle. Passers-by filmed what action they could grab on their phones while production crews captured what appears to be a fairly intense chase scene in the upcoming film, titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It is the fourth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) story of Peter Parker, and the 38th film in the MCU's list of movies overall. The film will see Holland reprise the lead role, with Zendaya also returning as Michelle 'MJ' Jones-Watson. Jon Bernthal will appear as Frank Castle/The Punisher, a brutal vigilante, while Mark Ruffalo also reappears as Bruce Banner/The Hulk – a genius scientist turned Avenger after a freak accident causes him to mutate into a giant green monster when he gets angry. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will feature in cinemas next year.

As he covered Esquire UK 's Autumn issue Leo, look ahead towards the 'next few decades' with 'much more life behind than ahead of you.' He has been romantically linked to model Vittoria Ceretti, 27, since August 2023 but prior to their relationship, in 2022 he famously split from Camila Morrone after five years together just a month after she turned 25. Speaking candidly in the unfiltered interview, Leo said: 'Turning 50 creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time. 'I can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress. I look at my mother, for example, and she just says exactly what she thinks and wastes no time. She spends no time trying to fake it.' Reflecting on dating, he detailed the importance of being upfront, and explained: 'Being more upfront and risking having things fall apart or risking the disagreements or risking going your separate ways from any type of relationship in life.
