Calvin Harris forced to take extreme measures at £3.6m Cotswolds mansion after bus passengers could see into bedrooms

Plus, what we know about the huge mansion and it's renovation FEEL SO CLOSE Calvin Harris forced to take extreme measures at £3.6m Cotswolds mansion after bus passengers could see into bedrooms Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) CALVIN Harris has been forced to take extreme measures at his Cotswolds mansion as he and pregnant wife Vick Hope prepare to move in later this year. The Scottish music sensation, 41, bought his stunning home for £3.6million in 2019, but has now be forced to make some adjustments to it after bus passengers could see into his bedrooms. 4 Calvin Harris' home has had to have some alterations made to it amid a privacy issue Credit: Getty 4 Calvin is married to Vick Hope Credit: Getty 4 The couple are expecting their first child together Credit: Getty Calvin has knocked down the Cotswolds mansion and has rebuilt it over five years, with it now nearing total completion. But he recently discovered that a bus route goes past his home, which allows people onboard the bus to see in. Because of this, the iconic DJ has had to take a drastic measure. Calvin has had to install one way glass to preserve his privacy and keep his family life out of the public eye. The reflective glass allows him to see out, but no-one to see in. The Daily Mail reports that the new glass was visible this week as scaffolding was removed from the newly-built abode. He has also reportedly bought two neighbouring homes, as per reports. Calvin and Radio 1 presenter Vick Hope are due to move into the newly-built and adapted home later this summer. Architect Ben Pentreath, a favourite of the royals, designed the property which will be completed this year. A source previously told the paper: "There's no expense spared and it's going to be amazing." Pregnant Vick Hope parties at BBC Radio One's Big Weekend after going on maternity leave The happy couple, who tied the knot on their Ibiza farm in 2023, will become parents later this year, it was recently revealed. And the couple's new home, which Calvin purchased in 2019, looks to be the ideal family home. At the end of May, Vick shared the news of her pregnancy live on Radio 1. On air, she told Jamie Laing: "I should probably also say this is my final week before I go on maternity leave." Former Made In Chelsea star Jamie then told her: "You're an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you're just going to be an amazing mum,." She replied: "Oh, thank you." Vick appeared to celebrate her baby shower a couple of weeks ago as she shared a picture playing a baby shower game - during a meal with friends. Calvin and Vick made their first official outing together at The Chelsea Flower Show in May 2022. After just five months together, a huge sparkler was spotted on Vick's finger. They then got married in September 2023 at Hulne Priory, Alnwick, Northumberland.

The Lionel Messi moment that inspired Inter Miami to first Club World Cup win

Lionel Messi scored a fine free-kick as Inter Miami came from behind to beat Porto 2-1 in Atlanta and get their first win of the Club World Cup. Inter Miami - held to a goalless draw by Egyptian side Al Ahly in their opening Group A fixture at Hard Rock Stadium - recovered after falling behind to an early penalty from Porto forward Samu Aghehowa. The Major League Soccer outfit were back on level terms just two minutes into the second half when Venezuela midfielder Telasco Segovia fired home from Marcelo Weigandt's cross. Messi completed the turnaround in the 53rd minute when he curled a 20-yard free-kick into the top corner. Palmeiras had earlier beaten Al Ahly 2-0 at the MetLife Stadium, with the game interrupted during the second half because of the threat of lightning in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Brazilians had seen forward Raphael Veiga shown a straight red card by English referee Anthony Taylor in the 37th minute following a high challenge on Al Ahly winger Zizo. However, after being advised to review the incident on the pitchside monitor, Taylor changed his decision to issue only a yellow card. Palmeiras broke the deadlock three minutes into the second half through an own goal when Al Ahly forward Wessam Abou Ali headed a deep free-kick into the top corner of his own net before substitute Flaco Lopez broke clear to double the lead just ahead of the hour. With thunderstorms looming, the players were soon signalled to come off as the match was suspended in the 63rd minute. A notice was displayed on the stadium's big screen, directing all spectators to leave the seated bowl area and take shelter inside "for your safety" because of "severe weather in the area". Following a delay of around 45 minutes, with the weather conditions improved, play was able to continue. Palmeiras went on to close out a first win - which puts them level on four points with Inter Miami ahead of their final group game at the Hard Rock Stadium on June 24.

Rory McIlroy trails by two as Scottie Scheffler holds share of lead

Masters champion McIlroy had finished tied for 19th at the US Open over a punishing Oakmont course – but ended the weekend on a positive following a three-under-par final round, which was the joint best of the day. The Northern Irishman – who saw his driver ruled as 'non-conforming' ahead of last month's PGA Championship before then missing the cut at the Canadian Open – had been looking to build some momentum at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell as focus turns towards the Open at Royal Portrush. World number two McIlroy landed a birdie at the second and then sank two more ahead of the turn at the final PGA Tour Signature Event of 2025. After picking up another couple, a further birdie at the 17th – from the best part of 30 feet having hit a fine recovery shot out of the rough and over the water onto the green – saw him finish six under with 64 to sit in a tie for second, two shots behind early clubhouse leader Austin Eckroat. American Eckroat hit a fine eight-under round, which included an eagle at the par-three 13th and a sixth birdie at the 18th. Scottie joins Eckroat atop the leaderboard with a 62 (-8) of his own!👏 — TravelersChamp (@TravelersChamp) June 19, 2025 Scheffler was one of the late starters paired alongside newly-crowned US Open champion JJ Spaun – who unlike his playing partner endured a perhaps expected tough round to finish three-over following successive bogeys on the closing two holes. There was, though, no such trouble for Scheffler, who never looked back after three birdies from the opening four holes. The American – who landed a third major title with the PGA Championship crown at Quail Hollow during May – then picked up an eagle on the 13th and another birdie at 15, before a bogey at the 17th was the only blemish on his eight-under 62. McIlroy's playing partner Keegan Bradley is also at six-under, having dropped a shot at the 12th, alongside Wyndham Clark, the 2023 US Open champion. Out of position? Not for Rory McIlroy. He is 6-under @TravelersChamp 👀 📺 @PGATOURLIVE on ESPN+ — PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) June 19, 2025 'Overall it was a good start to the tournament, and I think when you're in a two-ball like that and we can sort of feed off one another a little bit too, that's nice as well,' McIlroy said after his opening round. 'I just want to see some good golf and see some better shots. I think if you concentrate on that and you are concentrating on your quality of golf and concentrating on just trying to play to the best of your ability, the result will take care of itself. 'There's no point in thinking about the result right now. I'm just trying to play as good as I can and make good swings, and if I do that enough, more than likely I'll find myself in a position to have a chance to win.' England's Tommy Fleetwood carded a first round of 66 to sit in a group tied for sixth. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre, runner-up at Oakmont on Sunday, finished one over following a double-bogey six on the 17th. Jordan Spieth WD during the first round of the Travelers Championship with a neck/upper back injury. — PGA TOUR Communications (@PGATOURComms) June 19, 2025 Jordan Spieth withdrew during his first round because of a neck/upper back injury. 'I may have just slept wrong and then something came along. I don't know what caused it,' he said. 'I think it was just a random one-off that unfortunately got worse and bad enough on a Thursday that I didn't feel like I could continue.'
