
COAS spends Eid day at the frontline
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir visited forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) to celebrate Eidul Azha with frontline troops, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The visit commenced with Eid prayers, during which special supplications were made for Pakistan's enduring peace, stability, and prosperity as well as for shuhda who made supreme sacrifice for the defence of their motherland.
Extending warm Eid greetings to the officers and men, the Field Marshal commended their unwavering commitment, professional excellence, and steadfast service in the face of persistent challenges, the ISPR statement said. The COAS noted that celebrating Eid on the frontline away from their families serves the superior national purpose of defending the motherland at all costs throughout the year, the statement added.
The COAS lauded the formation's exemplary performance during Marqa-e-Haq, Operation Bunyaanum Marsoos and paid solemn tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis whose sacrifices continue to fortify the nation's security and resolve.
"You have befittingly avenged the loss of lives of innocent Pakistani civilians including children, women and elderly through your bold and effective response" the ISPR statement quoted the COAS as saying.
While interacting with troops, the army chief expressed deep appreciation for their high morale, exceptional operational readiness, and resolute vigilance in responding effectively to Indian ceasefire violations. He reiterated complete confidence in the battle preparedness of the armed forces to decisively deter and defeat any act of aggression, the statement added.
Underscoring Pakistan's principled stance, the Field Marshal affirmed that the just and valiant struggle of the Kashmiri people against Indian occupation will never be forgotten.
He emphasized the need for the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in line with the aspirations of its people and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Upon arrival at the LoC, the COAS was received by the Commander, Rawalpindi Corps.

National economy witnesses stability: Tarar

The PM extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the federal minister. He also conveyed special Eid wishes for Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. He inquired about Chaudhry Shujaat's health and prayed for his swift recovery, expressing his sincere well wishes. Erdogan reaffirms support to Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Turkiye have agreed to fast track implementation on the key decisions taken in recent meetings between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during this year. The understanding to this effect reached during telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday. The Prime Minister said this would help accelerate bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment. During the conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the Turkish President, as well as to the brotherly people of Turkiye, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. While recalling their recent meetings in Istanbul and Lachin, the Prime Minister thanked President Erdogan once again for Turkiye's strong and unwavering support to Pakistan during the recent Pakistan-India crisis.

Price Control Department takes stern action against hoarders
LAHORE: The Price Control and Commodities Management Department is actively functioning and taking stern action against wholesalers in case of public complaints. Secretary Price Control and Commodities Management Department Dr. Ehsan Bhutta said this while addressing the officers during his visit to the control room. Dr. Ehsan Bhutta said that the control room is registering complaints related to prices of commodities and food safety 24 hours a day. Action has been taken on more than 40 complaints in the last 24 hours. Throughout the province, there was ample stock of green spices, potatoes, onions, and tomatoes for public convenience during the three days of Eid. He said that C.M. Punjab has clearly directed that there would be no compromise to take action against traders who violate price regulations. Dr. Ehsan Bhutta said that the department's enforcement team will work closely with law enforcement agencies to maintain check and balance and also ensure compliance with price control regulations. Dr. Ehsan Bhutta further said that Model Bazars across the province of the Punjab performed well to provide commodities on control prizes. The Government of the Punjab is committed to ensure the well-being of its citizens by regulating prices of essential commodities. He said that the department's efforts are focused on key commodities. By regulating prices, the government aims to promote economic stability, protect middle-class households and support low-income families. He further said that the government's commitment to price control is a significant step towards ensuring the availability of essential commodities at fair prices.
