Is it a 'no-brainer' to cash in on Fernandes?
We asked for your views on Bruno Fernandes, who is considering leaving Manchester United to sign for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.Here are some of your comments:Ian: Massive respect for Bruno. He has had a difficult five years at Old Trafford with all the negativity surrounding the club but has shown his quality time after time. If he wants to move on who can blame him? Blame the people who run the club. United could sign three players with the money who fit into the manager's system. If they are sticking with the manager, that would be a positive way to go.Daniel: For what he's given to the club over the past five years I think we owe him the choice to either stay or leave. He has literally carried the club since he was signed. I wish him all the best if he does leave.Steve: If Fernandes goes, we will surely be relegated next season.Russ: £80-£100m for a player who will be 31 in a few months is a no-brainer for a club needing to rebuild and with limited finances due to PSR.Tayta: Thumbs up for the deal. First, Bruno gets to reset his career away from physical and mental stress of the Premier League while earning loads of money. Secondly Manchester United get money to reinvest. The rumoured money would be a godsend to help rebuild the team with players fit for the rigours of the Premier League. United are never going to get this kind of money for any player of this age profile in the next 20 years.David: The Mainoo goal v Manchester City in the FA Cup final was assisted by Bruno. The move started with a beautiful pass from Rashford to Garnacho, then on to Bruno and finally Mainoo. Rashford is all but gone,. Garnacho is all but gone. Now we're talking about Bruno going, and possibly Mainoo. That move should have been the start of something special. Just what has gone wrong at Old Trafford?

The Brazil winger scored nine goals and provided five assists in 26 appearances for Betis in his reviving six-month loan move. 4 4 But Antony and Betis endured a painful last dance, losing 4-1 to Chelsea in the Uefa Conference League final in Poland. Antony said in Spanish: "Today is the day to give thanks for one of the most beautiful chapters of my life. "As I write this page of my story, I need to tell you why you have been —and always will be —so special to me. "Since I was a child, football wasn't just a dream, it was my only chance to change my life. "Life took me far, from the favela to the world. Boy, 10, 'beaten to death' by his own headmaster during assembly in front of entire school over 'minor issue'
A 10-year-old Pakistani schoolboy has died after he was brutally beaten with a rod by his headmaster over a 'minor issue'. The heartbreaking incident took place at a private school in the Khyber district in northern Pakistan on Friday during a school assembly. Khyalmat Khan was critically injured and taken to hospital where he later died, according to local media. Headmaster Waqar Ahmed used a stick to hit the young student on the head, neck, face, and back, police said. Mr Ahmed was arrested and remains in police custody. Khyber District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal condemned the violent attack in a statement. 'Violence against children and women will not be tolerated under any circumstances', he said. 'No one has the right to misuse the noble role of a teacher to commit such brutality. 'A teacher is a spiritual guardian, but this man has dishonered the sanctity of the profession', he added. The tragic even has sparked outrage in the local community, prompting parents to demand that local authorities impose a ban on corporal punishment at schools. The shocking incident comes after a historic bill was passed in the Pakistani city of Islamabad in 2021 banning violence against children. The move came amid a number of high-profile cases of children being badly beaten and even killed, in schools, religious institutions and workplaces. In January 2021, an eight-year-old boy was beaten to death by his teacher for not memorising a lesson. In June 2020, a girl, aged eight, who was working as a maid in Islamabad, was beaten to death by her employers after she let their pet parrots escape.
