Shah Rukh Khan once revealed Salman Khan's family supported him during his struggling days: ‘Inke ghar ka khaana bhi khaaya hai..'- Throwback
Shah Rukh Khan
and
Salman Khan
are known not just for being superstars, but for sharing one of the most talked-about friendships in Bollywood. While they've had their ups and downs, Shah Rukh once shared a very personal memory about his early days in Mumbai and the support he received from Salman's family.
'Salman took care of me more like an elder Brother'
In the past Shah Rukh appeared on Salman's TV show 'Dus Ka Dum'. While on the show, he opened up about how he was looked after by Salman's family when he first moved to Mumbai (then called Bombay).
'Salman took care of me more like an elder brother along with his family,' SRK said with gratitude. This bond, he shared, went much beyond the film industry and touched his personal life deeply.
'I didn't just struggle, I also ate at his house'
The 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' actor shared this moment with a smile and a touch of humour, remembering how close he became with Salman and his loved ones during those struggling days. He said, 'Salman is younger than me by 1.5 months. Lekin (Salman ne) bade bhai se bhi zyada aur inki family ne mera bahot dhyan rakha. Aur sirf dhakke hi nahin khaayein maine inke ghar ka khaana bhi khaaya hai.' (Salman took care of me more like an elder brother, and I didn't just struggle, I have also eaten home-cooked food at his house)
A bond that has stood the test of time
Over the years, Shah Rukh and Salman have had their share of disagreements.

Lyricist Vairamuthu criticises Tamil filmmakers for using his verses as film titles without permission
Popular Tamil lyricist and writer Vairamuthu on Monday (June 9) criticised Tamil filmmakers for using verses from his songs as titles of their films without seeking permission from him. Taking to his official X handle, the lyricist claimed that those filmmakers neither sought permission nor informed him about the same. 'It's not just one or two. 'Ponmaalai Pozhudhu,' 'Kann Sivanthaal Mann Sivakkum,' 'Ilaya Nila,' 'Oorai Therinjikitten,' 'Panivizhum Malarvanam,' 'Vellaipura Ondru,' 'Poove Poochooda Vaa,' 'Eeramana Rojave,' 'Antha Nilava Thaan Kaiyila Pidichen,' 'Mouna Raagam,' 'Minsara Kanna', 'Kannalane,' 'Ennavale,' 'Uyire,' 'Sandakozhi', 'Poovellam Kettuppar,' 'Thenmerku Paruvakaatru,' 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa,' 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham,' 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal,' 'Thangamagan'...the list goes on.' ALSO READ: Chinmayi interview on 'Thug Life' song: 'Despite praise, I feel numb' The lyricist added that even at times when he came across the said filmmakers, he neither scolded them nor questioned them for doing so. 'Because it gave me joy that in a society where wealth isn't a common property, at least knowledge is becoming common,' he added. 'To ask, 'Why didn't you ask me before doing this?' would not be civilised of me. But then, would it not be uncivilised of them to not ask me even a single word before doing it?' wrote Vairamuthu. The tweet drew quite a few reactions from the netizens, one of whom wondered if this was a fair ask from the lyricist. 'If you look at it that way, no one can use anything. The words in your lyrics may have appeared in a book, a novel, a short story, or even a poem before. So what if those writers claim ownership of the said verses? You can state this if an entire song was misused,' read the post.

Ektaa Kapoor REACTS to Anurag Kashyap's ‘saas bahu' dig; calls it ‘classist' and ‘dumb': ‘Artists who talk of...'
Ektaa Kapoor has fired back strongly at filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for his recent remarks about 'saas bahu' TV dramas. The producer, known for creating some of India's most popular family soaps, called Kashyap 'classist' for looking down on these shows. Ektaa defends her daily soaps Ektaa responded strongly to Anurag's dig. Taking to her Instagram stories, she wrote, 'Ur so dumb... saying this put u on an advantage 'I'm smarter cooler' but naaaaaaaa! Darling how about gracious!!! N self aware?????? An art a lot of artists don't have!' She added, ''Saas bahu' n their impact on Indian masses (how women got a voice in mass India) is well documented by a prestigious Chicago research! But artists who talk of an inclusive world are actually more classist.' Ektaa didn't stop there. Without naming anyone, she wrote, 'We must do away with this 'U can't sit with us we r better' attitude for democracy n fair play! Love n light to all (sic).' What started it all? The entire row began after Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos appeared on Nikhil Kamath's podcast and spoke about launching Netflix in India. Reflecting on the decision, he said he would have done things differently. According to Ted, starting the platform in India with the series 'Sacred Games' may not have been the right move, and something 'more populist' might have worked better. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 오스템 임플란트 받아가세요 임플란터 더 알아보기 Undo Anurag Kashyap lashes out Anurag Kashyap, who directed and produced 'Sacred Games', did not take the comment lightly. Thug Life Box Office Collections: Kamal Haasan has a DISASTROUS weekend, Set to wrap under 100cr worldwide
Tamil film Thug Life has a disastrous debut at the Indian box office, collecting a pathetic Rs. 40 crore approx over its four-day extended weekend. The Kamal Haasan starrer fared relatively better overseas, though still poor, with USD 4.80 million (Rs. 41 crore) weekend, for a worldwide haul of Rs. 81 crore. The film was a dead-on-arrival opening poorly, and then the final nail in the coffin was the outright rejection from the audience. It will be lights out for the film from today and will hardly have any run after the first week. It seems unlikely to cross Rs. 50 crore mark in India and will likely succumb to less than Rs. 100 crore worldwide. The big tentpole films from South India are doing this much and more on their opening day, and here this film is not sure to do in its entire lifetime. The Day Wise Box Office Collections of Thug Life in India are as follows: Thug Life is the second box office misfire for Kamal Haasan in a row, after Indian 2, or third, if one already considers the write-off that Indian 3 is. That said, even Indian 2 managed to gross over Rs. 100 crore worldwide. Ironically, it was exactly three years ago, in the same week, that Haasan stormed back to box office glory with the blockbuster Vikram. On paper, his lineup that followed Vikram seemed to promise a strong commercial run, but it has failed spectacularly. Despite the dismal theatrical performance, the producers of Thug Life are insulated from financial loss, as they fetched handsome prices for the non-theatrical rights. The losses will be with those who paid those prices, as they are certainly not going to recover them, and with the exhibition sector, which has been deprived of footfall during what should have been a peak summer window. The Territorial Breakdown for Box Office Collection in India is as follows:
