Lenovo Launches Yoga Tab Plus, its first-ever AI-powered tablet

Popular technology brand, Lenovo, on Wednesday, July 9, launched its brand's first-ever AI-powered tablet. The tablet features the brand's first personal on-device AI agent called 'Lenovo AI Now'. With a sleek design, the Yoga Tab Plus is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB storage, which can be expanded to 512GB.
The device offers a huge 12.7-inch 3K PureSight Pro display, with a refresh rate of 144Hz, 900 nits of peak brightness, and DCI-P3 colour gamut for smooth and colour-accurate display. The tablet is powered by a 10,200mAh battery for endless streaming and is supported by 45W fast charging to provide a quick power boost. The huge battery helps stay productive through the day without worrying about the power.
The Lenovo AI Now in the Yoga Tab Plus is driven by a large language models (LLMs) that can handle up to 8 billion parameters. Lenovo AI Now makes productivity easy and safe by enabling real-time, context-aware capabilities without relying on the cloud. The tablet also supports Google Gemini, enabling smooth voice-based interaction and stylus-first controls. Users can make use of AI Note and AI Transcript capabilities directly on the device to rapidly collect and summarise content.
The tablet is also a treat for audiophiles as it gets a Harman Kardon-tuned six-speaker setup, which consists of two tweeters and four woofers, and supports Dolby Atmos. The Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus is built from durable aluminium alloy, weighing in at just 640g and is only available in Tidal Teal colourway. Users may present hands-free thanks to its integrated stainless-steel kickstand, which supports stand, tilt, and hang modes.
The tablet also comes with a stylus called the Pen Pro, which provides the user with a premium drawing or writing experience. It also comes with features like double-tap to switch tools and press-slide for copy-paste, which help streamline and increase productivity. Additionally, Lenovo offers a 2-in-1 keyboard pack as an extra bundle that has a Lenovo AI Now key for a smooth transition between creative and productivity modes.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port for charging and audio. You also get a 3-point pogo pin connector that allows seamless keyboard pairing. The tablet supports Lenovo Smart Connect for clipboard sharing, screen extension, and PC unlocking, unifying your digital life with greater intelligence and continuity, whether you're at work, home or on the go.

Qualcomm will specialise in advanced 5G and AI courses, offering internships and sponsoring training for the first 100 students, thereby directly boosting employability and opening pathways to careers in high-demand tech will expand its renowned Networking Academy to democratise access to quality training in networking and cybersecurity. By collaborating with non-profit institutions, it will ensure that learners across India, regardless of location, have access to industry-relevant skills. Nokia will establish a 5G and AI-ML Lab, focusing on training in core networks and emerging telecom applications, with joint certification from Nokia and BSNL, enhancing graduates' industry curriculum, spanning from intensive 2-wk modules to comprehensive 84-hr programmes, is designed for students, working professionals and public sector employees. Beyond skilling, the initiative will encourage product innovation, prototyping and telecom entrepreneurship, turning learners into creators, not just consumers, of economies, especially in Madhya Pradesh, will benefit from increased employment opportunities, while India as a whole gains a workforce equipped to compete on a global stage. For consumers, the ripple effect will be better connectivity, more innovative telecom solutions, and faster rollout of next-gen local to global, India won't just make in India but for the world. And Jabalpur will be at the heart of this transformation. Aligned with existing initiatives like Digital India , Skill India, Make in India and Startup India, this collaboration positions India as a global hub for telecom innovation and expertise. It also gives a fresh boost to Aatmanirbhar Bharat with BSNL's remarkable comeback, achieving consecutive quarterly net profits after 18 years on its path to achievements in expanding affordable broadband, enabling digital payments like UPI, and using tech for governance have become case studies across the world. Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch the Redmi 15 5G smartphone in India on 19 August. Ahead of the release, the company has shared details about the device's design, battery, and key specifications. The phone will be offered in three colour options: Frosted White, Sandy Purple, and Midnight Black. The Redmi 15 5G is expected to feature a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen could carry multiple certifications, including TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly, which aim to reduce eye strain. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. The device will come with up to 16 GB of RAM extension. For photography, the Redmi 15 5G may include a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front-facing camera will likely offer 8MP resolution. The device is expected to include features such as AI Erase, AI Sky, and classic film filters. The smartphone will be equipped with a 7,000mAh battery, supporting 33W wired charging and 18W reverse charging. It is anticipated that the device will have estimated usage times, including 55.6 hours of Spotify streaming, 23.5 hours of YouTube playback, and 17.5 hours of Instagram Reel use. The device is reported to have IP64 certification for dust and water resistance, along with Dolby-certified audio. The Redmi 15 5G will likely run on HyperOS based on Android 15 and is expected to receive two years of operating system updates and four years of security updates. Additional features will likely include Gemini integration and tools such as Circle to Search. Overall, the Redmi 15 5G will combine a large display and substantial battery capacity. It will be available in three colourways and is scheduled for launch in India on 19 August.
