Kourtney Kardashian responds to backlash over not putting 21-month-old son in life vest
Idaho state law mandates that 'all children under the age of 14 must wear an approved life jacket when they are aboard a boat 19 feet in length or less whenever the boat is underway or under power.'
The 46-year-old reality star boasts 283.4M social media followers - many of whom were concerned and outraged - like user @janettparks, who commented: 'Child endangerment per Idaho law.'
'Please, please put a life jacket on that sweet babe!' Instagram user @bcudini agreed.
'What no life vests?' Instagram user @calkins5039 blasted. 'Isn't that against the law?'
Instagram user @sue_branagan commented: 'POV Please use a life vest on your child. In that huge boat accident in Tahoe, the only two people that survived were wearing life vests. All the rest died when the boat capsized.'
'Protects her son's face from the internet but doesn't protect him from possibly drowning... priorities,' Instagram user @lifeofrylee84 scoffed.
Instagram user @danielle_mamma_of_two wrote: 'No life jacket? And the mother of the year award goes to...'
On Saturday, Kourtney announced that she had officially purchased a $69.99 Stohlquist 'Infant' life jacket that 'fits' little Rocky.
'Good looking out. Honestly, didn't think about some of the dangers,' Kardashian wrote in response.
'Thank you for making me aware and hopefully this helps make other mommies aware of the dangers of certain types of boating without a life vest.'
The Calabasas socialite and her son were joined in Idaho by her neighbor-turned-husband Travis Barker, whom she wed three years ago.
Kourtney shared one snap of herself seated next to the 48-year-old Grammy-nominated drummer's 26-year-old stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, who's biological father is retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
Missing from the woodsy family fun were Travis' two children - son Landon, 21; and daughter Alabama, 18 - from his three-year marriage to Miss USA 1995 Shanna Moakler, which ended in 2008.
Kardashian also welcomed three older children - daughter Penelope, 13; son Mason, 15; and son Reign, 10 - during her on/off nine-year relationship with Talentless CEO Scott Disick, which ended in 2015.

The 5ft brunette keeps busy running her lifestyle website Poosh and her sugar-filled vitamin and botanical supplement company Lemme.

Machine Gun Kelly buys daughter a moderately priced first car... but issues her a stern warning
Machine Gun Kelly is a proud father-of-two, and he recently celebrated a milestone for his firstborn child, daughter Casie. The 35-year-old music artist — who recently revealed what parenting comment left ex-girlfriend Megan Fox 'fuming' — purchased Casie her first car for her 16th birthday in July. As he surprised her with the new wheels, he had one rule: 'Don't drive like your dad.' In a viral video shared by a fan page on X, the teenager gushed over a black Acura TLX that her rock star dad gifted her, complete with a red bow. And the Cliché hitmaker, who now goes by mgk, said about the moderately priced car: 'I don't know why it's her dream car, but it's her dream car.' mgk gifted his 16-year-old daughter casie her dream car. "don't drive like your dad" 😭 #mgk #machinegunkelly #colsonbaker machine gun kelly — mgkmagic (@mgkmagic) August 11, 2025 According to Business Insider, the sleek sedan ranges from $45,400-$62,000 — a small price for the artist, whose net worth is an estimated $25 million. Casie will have to pass an exam to get her driver's license before she can fully enjoy her new gift. 'It runs in the family, dude. We can't get a license to save our lives,' the Cleveland-bred rapper said in the clip. In addition to Casie, he became a dad for the second time earlier this year when he welcomed a baby girl named Saga Blade Fox-Baker with ex-girlfriend Megan. While appearing on the Today show's video series 8 Before 8 in July, he revealed that he picked his younger daughter's name. 'Well, I lost the first one and won the second one,' he answered when asked, 'As a father of two girls, what was the name choosing process like?' He elaborated, 'When you are 18-years-old and you go to her mother and you go, "What if we named our kid Kid?" I get why she's like, "Hey man, shut up."' He confessed with a laugh, 'That was one of the names. I was like, "If her name was Kid, that would be sick."' And while on Today in June he explained the meaning behind his newborn's name. 'She is an epic story. That's what saga means,' he said of the moniker. Referencing his ex Megan's prior miscarriage, he added that he was inspired by 'her journey — the five years of her culmination of coming, disappearing, coming back again, disappearing, coming back again.' He also connected the name to his Norwegian background, stating, 'That's the Nordic goddess of storytelling. So, she has a storytelling future ahead of her.' Fans previously mistakenly thought the exes had named their daughter 'Celestial Seed' due to the caption mgk used when announcing her birth. Sharing an Instagram video holding his baby girl's tiny hand in March, he captioned, 'She's finally here!! our little celestial seed. 3/27/25.'

Jason Kelce makes major change to his appearance ahead of Taylor Swift New Heights episode
Eagle-eyed fans have spotted a major change in Jason Kelce 's appearance ahead of Taylor Swift's long-awaited appearance on his and Travis' podcast. Chiefs star Kelce and girlfriend Swift sent fans into meltdown after confirming that the popstar would be the special guest for the upcoming episode of 'New Heights'. The social media accounts for the podcast shared a promo video from the episode and fans were quick to note a subtle difference in Jason's appearance. After sharing screenshots of the older of the Kelce brothers, from the video, and claimed that he had dyed his beard. One fan wrote: 'Biggest reveal of the Taylor swift album announcement was Jason Kelce's beautiful new beard paint job'. Well, Jason didn't try and hide from the fact that he had done so and, in response, wrote on X: 'I promise the dye was for a good reason, don't hate me'. The elder of the Kelce brothers did not deny the claims in a light-hearted post online A side-by-side comparison evidently showed that Jason had ditched his 'salt and pepper' beard look for a jet-black style for the Swift episode. Fans continued to debate the former Eagles star's new look on social media platform Threads. One wrote: 'I thought it looked a little less natural than normal'. Another speculated: 'Maybe is filming something & had to dye it. He doesn't seem like the type to do it for vanity sake'. While some fans decided to comment on Jason Kelce's beard, others were far too occupied with Taylor Swift 's new album reveal which occurred on the podcast. She released the news at 12:12am ET on August 12 and at the same time a clip appeared on the social media pages of New Heights, the podcast co-hosted by the Kelce brothers. 'So I wanted to show you something,' Swift, who is sitting alongside her boyfriend, tells Jason in the clip. 'What do we got?' he asks, while Travis smirks, sticks out his tongue and grows increasingly giddy. Eagled-eyed fans were quick to speculate as to why Kelce had dyed his beard Swift then digs out a personalized briefcase and opens it up. 'What's in it?' the elder Kelce brother asks. 'This is my brand new album, "The Life of a Showgirl,"' Swift explains, pulling out the record. The album cover is blurred in the New Heights video. 'TS 12!' shouts Travis, who is now covered in glitter, while Jason screams: 'ARGH!!' Shortly after midnight, the 20-second clip had amassed 38,000 retweets and 76,000 likes on X in just 20 minutes.
