GMA Network, Kapuso stars win big at 6th VP Choice Awards
GMA Network once again won TV Station of the Year at the awards ceremony held on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera was Hailed Headliner of the Year in Entertainment - Movie.
Sparkle stars Kyline Alcantara and Michael Sager won TV Actress of the Year (Daytime) and TV Actor of the Year (Daytime) respectively for their performance in "Shining Inheritance."
Kokoy De Santos, for his part, bagged the Supporting Movie Actor of the Year award for his Metro Manial Film Festival 2024 movie "And the Breadwinner Is..."
Lastly, Analyn Barro was hailed Breakthrough Star of the Year for "Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law."
VP Choice Awards is an annual awarding event organized by Village Pipol magazine. The winners are determined through the combined tally of online votes and scores from industry experts.

Of his aviation journey, he said, "The reason why it's happening to me right now is alam ni Lord one way or another that I'm gonna be able to finish that. I'm taking it one step at a time. Wala akong minamadali." Alden currently balances all these while serving as host of the Kapuso reality dance competition "Stars on the Floor." Per Alden, the people in the show all got to build solid relationships with each other. Mitena summons Kambal-diwa to uncover truth about female warrior in her dreams
The elemental twins of Encantadia, known as the Kambal-diwa, have been summoned by Mitena (Rhian Ramos) in a powerful bid to uncover the truth behind the mysterious female warrior haunting her dreams. On Wednesday's episode of "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre," Mitena calls forth the four forces of nature after she was informed by Mashna Mayca (Cheska Iñigo) about their existence: Alipato (Jay Ortega), Avilan (Radson Flores), Sari-a (Lexi Gonzales), and Agua (Elle Villanueva). Their combined presence radiates the raw power of Encantadia's elements, each twin embodying the balance and strength of their domain. Upon appearing, the Kambal-diwa acknowledged Mitena as their queen, pledging their presence to her command. Haunted by visions of a female warrior who is Terra (Bianca Umali), Mitena demands to know the truth about her identity. Avilan stepped forward with a revelation that shakes the ice queen's resolve: the girl in her dreams is the true Sang'gre, and she is destined to rise as a leader and bring about Mitena's downfall to save the realm. They also revealed that the warrior is not in Encantadia, instead, she resides in the world of the humans, which puzzled the ruthless ice queen. Meanwhile, in the mortal world, a video circulated showing Sang'gre allegedly killing the woman she was meant to protect, which Terra knows is not true. The deception is revealed to be the work of Emil (Ricky Davao), who created the video to turn the people against Sang'gre. And as Pirena (Glaiza De Castro)'s search for her niece continues, she and Terra unknowingly find themselves in the same place, just inches away from a long-awaited encounter. Heart Evangelista unbothered by fashion bashers: 'I'm not really affected'
Heart Evangelista remains unbothered about the negative comments being thrown her way regarding fashion. At GCash's event Tuesday in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, the Global Fashion Icon said people will always have something negative to say, but she does not mind them. "You can bash me with anything, but that part [fashion], I'm not really affected," she said. "If I want to throw in something that totally doesn't match, but I feel good, it will automatically look good," she added. "That's how I believe."
