2027 4-star Edge places Texas A&M in his Top 12 program list
On Saturday, it was revealed that 2027 four-star edge Krew Jones, from Millville, Utah, has placed Texas A&M in his top 12 program list, joining Ohio State, Oregon, Florida State, Nebraska, USC, Washington, UCLA, Tennessee, Stanford, BYU, and Oklahoma.
This is early in the process, but after landing 2025 five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles and his high school quarterback, 2026 four-star Helaman Casuga from Utah, the Aggies are beginning to develop a recruiting pipeline in the state.
Standing at 6'5" and nearly 220 pounds, Jones is one of the top prep pass rushers in the country, recording 148 tackles, 30.5 tackles for loss, and 22.5 sacks during his first two varsity seasons, including 93 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, and six pass breakups during his 2024 sophomore campaign.
Again, this is just the start of Jones' recruiting process, as next summer will include a host of official visits, which could include Texas A&M if the staff develops a strong relationship this fall, similar to when the Aggies landed 2026 four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory and four-star edge Jordan Carter, who both committed early last October.
According to 247Sports, Jones is currently positioned as the 159th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 20th-ranked edge, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Utah.

According to a report from Nick Farabaugh of Penn Live, rookie tight end and fullback DJ Thomas-Jones is feared to have torn his Achilles during Sundy's practice. "Thomas-Jones was seen getting his left foot or ankle looked at, and he had his shoe off," Farabaugh wrote. "Whenever he moved, he could not put any weight on his left leg. He was carted off the field and did not return." Thomas-Jones, who was signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft, was a player the team was high on. Sadly, his season could be over before it even begins. During his senior season for South Alabama, Thomas-Jones caught 22 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns. He caught 27 passes for 235 yards and five touchdowns in 2023. The Steelers have both Pat Freiermuth and Smith at the position. Rodgers will still have two elite tight ends to work with during the 2025 season. Hopefully, if the injury is a torn Achilles, Thomas-Jones will be able to make a quick and full recovery with no setbacks. He has clearly made enough of an impact early on for Pittsburgh to be excited about his future. Expect to hear an official report about Thomas-Jones in the near future. Pair of MSU hockey stars shine in World Junior Summer Showcase victory
A pair of Spartans played vital roles for Team USA in Sunday's World Junior Summer Showcase against Finland. Future Spartans forward Ryker Lee scored a pair of goals and sophomore forward Shane Vansaghi netted the game-winner to help Team USA White top Finland, 5-2, in a World Junior Summer Showcase game from Minneapolis on Sunday. Team USA White once trailed 2-1 in the game but bounced back in the second half of the game to earn the victory. Lee and Vansaghi are both expected to play key roles on the Spartans next season. Michigan State boasts a number of NHL talent on its 2025-26 roster, including both Lee and Vansaghi, and is considered a top five preseason team in the country entering next year.
