Kourtney Kardashian Criticized for Breast-Feeding Pic of Rocky, 20 Months, on a Boat Sans Life Vest
"Update: Bought a life vest that fits! Good looking out," she wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 9, sharing an image of a child's size life jacket from the Stohlquist brand's website. "Honestly, didn't think about some of the dangers. Thank you for making me aware and hopefully this helps make other mommies aware of the dangers of certain types of boating without a life vest."

Kourtney Kardashian's latest breast-feeding photo of her 20-month-old son, Rocky Thirteen, has sparked backlash.
"Food for the soul ✨,' Kardashian, 46, captioned an Instagram carousel on Friday, August 8.
In the first pic, The Kardashians star breast-fed Rocky while they were sitting on a speedboat on a body of water. (Kardashian welcomed Rocky with husband Travis Barker in November 2023.)
Several social media users flooded the comments section, inquiring why neither she nor Rocky appeared to be wearing life jackets.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's Son Rocky Thirteen's Baby Album: Photos
'Please, please put a life jacket on that sweet babe,' one Instagram user wrote, while another added, 'What no life vests? Isn't that against the law???'
A third commenter claimed, 'I would consider keeping life vests on anyone under 18 on a boat. I know Idaho is basically lawless, but if that lake were a few miles west in [Washington] it would be the law and for good reason. Let's make fun and safe water time the norm.'
Another photo in Kardashian's roundup seemingly indicated that her family had traveled to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The state requires all minors to wear life vests on the water.
'Children 14 and under must wear an approved life jacket when they are aboard a boat 19 feet in length or less whenever the boat is underway or under power,' a statement on the Parks and Recreation department website reads. 'This applies to manually propelled boats such as canoes and rafts in addition to powerboats, sailboats, personal watercraft (jet skis) and fishing float tubes.'
Kourtney Kardashian Shares Empowering 'Reminder' About Postpartum Body While Posing in a Bikini
Kardashian has not publicly addressed the backlash. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.
The Poosh founder did, however, take to her Instagram Stories on Friday to discuss the breast-feeding aspect of the portrait.
'World Breast-feeding Week! 21 months and going strong,' Kardashian wrote via her Instagram Stories. 'I told my baby, we would breast-feed when he was in my tummy every day after doctors told me he probably wouldn't be able to breast-feed.'
She continued, 'I prayed about it, and I believed it. Blessed and grateful for this beautiful life and experience together with my baby.'
Rocky is Kardashian's fourth child. She also shares sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, as well as daughter Penelope, 12, with ex Scott Disick. Barker, 49, also has children from a previous relationship. The Blink-182 drummer coparents Landon, 21, and Alabama, 19, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler and is a father figure to Moakler's 26-year-old daughter Atiana.

A DWTS Pro's Airport Fiasco Sends Fans Into a Frenzy: 'THIS IS GOLD'
A DWTS Pro's Airport Fiasco Sends Fans Into a Frenzy: 'THIS IS GOLD' originally appeared on Parade. From Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov to Emma Slater and Alan Bersten and beyond, Dancing With the Stars has quite a few fan-favorite couples, but husband-and-wife duo Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are arguably the most hilarious of them all. If you didn't think so, Chmerkovskiy's latest TikTok video might just have you sold… Yesterday (August 10), the DWTS pro shared a TikTok video at the airport with his wife — fellow DWTS pro Johnson — going through security together. Although going through security at the airport is pretty standard, in the video, Johnson is seen getting evaluated by the TSA worker while Chmerkovskiy pans over to the screen. With a red square around her nether region, said screen shows that Johnson's crotch area is what needed further investigation. As if that whole airport fiasco wasn't funny enough, the caption is what sent fans into a frenzy, comprised of just two emojis: '💣 🐱' Needless to say, fans had a field day in the comment section. 'Okay Val, you win #1 caption,' one fan wrote, while another added, 'LMAO THE CAPTION??? 😭' A third exclaimed, "VAL I'M CACKLING," summing up the sentiment of a majority of viewers. Regardless of the setback, it is safe to say that both Chmerkovskiy and Johnson made it to their destination safely, with the latter posting an Instagram reel on the plane captioned, "OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! NYC ✈️ Paris," later in the evening. For all of the updates regarding their European travels, it is safe to say we will be keeping up with both parties on Instagram until further notice: @jennajohnson and @valentin.
