Police believe Ali Mugoya, also known as Arizona, can help in the ongoing investigation around the murder of Emmanuel Mahamba last month.

Last month, Joburg-based activist and businessman, Moreboys Munetsi had intervened to assist the family of the murdered man.
At the time, Munetsi, a lawyer by profession, said he was providing legal support to the victim's family.
On Wednesday, Munetsi told IOL that frustration is growing amongst Mahamba's family and friends, with days passing and there is no justice for the deceased. Munetsi said while Mugoya is on the run, some of his companies are still operating in South Africa.
"The family of Emmanuel is very frustrated with the way the case is going, considering that there is no progress at all. It is alleged that some of his companies are still operating. This sounds as if he is still around the area. Previously, the police informed the family that the wanted guy was seen around Springs, but until now there is no update," he said.
"To tell you the truth, the mobile phone of the accused person is still working, both on voice calls and on WhatsApp. Police should use their technology to trace him. Since his business is working, it means they should monitor all the transactions, that can help police to investigate.
"The police should take more action on this case. The family is frustrated," said Munetsi.
On his Facebook page, which has more than 144,000 followers, Munetsi previously held a live conversation with Ntombi, the woman who was involved in a relationship with Mahamba, while she lived with her other romantic partner, Mugoya.
The Ugandan man, Mugoya, who has two children with Ntombi, allegedly murdered Mahamba in the bakkie attack.
In the conversation between Munetsi and Ntombi, she referred to Mugoya as her 'baby daddy' and she also admitted that she had been in a relationship with Mahamba.
'I agree that I once dated Emmanuel in January, and we broke up in February. Yes, we were in a relationship. We broke up because some Ugandans recorded a video of me when I was with the guy (Emmanuel Mahamba). My baby daddy is a Ugandan. So I broke up with Emmanuel for my safety, for my kids and also for the sake of Emmanuel. I stopped talking to Emmanuel.
Ntombi said on the fateful day, Emmanuel and some Ugandan men came over to her work premises. Emmanuel and the Ugandan men rented the same house. On the day, Mugoya was already at Ntombi's workplace, a shop where motorbike parts are sold.
A woman, only identified as Ntombi, narrated how her baby daddy, a Ugandan national called Ali Mugoya, allegedly murdered her former boyfriend, Zimbabwean national Emmanuel Mahamba.

'Later on, I heard some noise, people fighting. When I went outside, I asked Emmanuel what he was doing, but he did not even respond to me; he only looked at me. He was holding a stone, and he threw it away. He picked it again and hit the vehicle's (wind) screen. That is when my baby daddy got angry, went to Emmanuel and beat him,' she said.
In the video, Ntombi can be seen screaming, frantically trying to stop the Ford Ranger driver.
Narrating how she fell in love with the deceased man, Ntombi said she met Emmanuel at Rivonia, Sandton, as he used to come to the shop that she works at, buying motorbike parts.
She said when she met Emmanuel this year, she was still involved with the Ugandan man although the relationship was experiencing some 'difficulties'. Ntombi was living with the Ugandan man when she started dating Emmanuel.
'I had to date Emmanuel,' she told Munetsi in the Facebook live session.
Ntombi has two children with the Ugandan man and the two have been in a relationship for around three years.

Man sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering partner

A man was sentenced to life imprisonment after murdering his partner in early May 2025. The Free State High Court handed down the sentence to Abel Serame Mathige (39), who was found guilty of murdering his partner, 51-year-old Anna Motaung, after assaulting her. She later succumbed to her injuries at Boitumelo Regional Hospital. Police responded to a report about a patient who passed away following an alleged assault by their partner. Upon arrival, the police were escorted to the body of the deceased, identified as Motaung, who had been declared dead by the hospital. A 57-year-old man allegedly murdered her partner at an automotive dealership in Mthatha on Saturday, 31 May 2025. According to a police statement, the deceased went to the dealership, where her partner is an employee at. The two lovebirds got into a heated argument where the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim and took her to a hospital. Initially, the suspect said that thugs assaulted her lover near the dealership. The police statement mentioned, 'The suspect visited the victim in the hospital, bringing her refreshments. The victim subsequently became sick and ultimately died at approximately 13:55 that same day.' The postmortem results are said to reveal the cause of the victim's death. The police arrested the suspect on Friday, 6 June 2025. A manhunt has been launched after the dead bodies of a couple were discovered at a residence in Sekonye village, Limpopo. A worried family member went to the residence where her relative was after she could not reach him on his phone. Upon arriving, she discovered the lifeless body of her relative and his 34-year-old partner. Initial investigations reveal that both the victims had sustained gunshot wounds. Additionally, a firearm, believed to have been used in carrying out the murder, was found at the scene. 'The motive behind the tragedy remains unclear; however, domestic violence cannot be ruled out as a possible factor,' read the statement. A case of murder and an inquest has been opened while investigations continue. Update: Community holds emotional vigil for Brakpan teen killed in crash involving 12-year-old driver

A sombre atmosphere prevailed this afternoon at the place in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni, where 14-year-old Malcolm Booysen died yesterday after being struck by a vehicle driven by a 12-year-old child. Brakpan Herald reports that friends, family and well-wishers wrote messages on a large wooden cross and laid down flowers. Malcolm's grieving parents Helen-Ann and Quinton Booysen were comforted by people at the scene. Helen cried inconsolably before a scripture reading and prayer were held. Malcolm's brothers Austin (18), Jason (11) and Jacques (9) took turns writing messages on the wooden cross for their brother. His grandfather André Booysen (66) told the Brakpan Herald the family is still in shock and trying to make sense of the tragic event that claimed Malcolm's life. Earlier today, Brakpan Herald reported that, according to City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, officers from the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department Accident Bureau were summoned to an accident at the corner of Northdene Avenue and Madeley Street at about 13:45 yesterday. 'The officers found the lifeless body of a 14-year-old pedestrian, who was declared deceased on scene by paramedics,' says Dlamini. 'Also on the scene, the officers found a Mazda that allegedly bumped the pedestrian, driven by a 12-year-old driver. 'The driver was handed in, accompanied by his guardian, to the Brakpan SAPS. 'It is alleged that the driver used the motor vehicle and disobeyed a stop sign and collided into the pedestrian.'
