A Kardashian recommends 7 items for family travel — and most are under $20

Yahoo5 days ago
The Kardashians are just like us - if the rest of us were rich and famous, that is. Yet, despite their fortune and fame, the family is subject to many of the same travel woes as the general public, including hunger and jet lag.
Most members of the Kardashian clan have children (the exception is Kendall Jenner, who has stated she's not in a hurry to start a family.) This means that when they're jetting around the globe, they often have kids in tow.
In a post on her website, Poosh, Kourtney Kardashian shared things she always packs when she's traveling with kids.
A water bottle
Air travel is dehydrating, and Kardashian says keeping her kids hydrated is a 'huge job.' Her solution? The family takes a sip or drinks a bottle of water in unison. She calls it 'Team hydration.'
We're especially fond of the Stanley All Day Slim Bottle 20 oz. The lid is leakproof, so it won't drip in your tote or backpack. Additionally, the clever neck design unscrews to create more room for ice. Plus, it's dishwasher safe, so you can pop it in with your dishes when you get home.
Herbal jet lag pills
Kardashian says herbal jet lag pills are her favorite travel trick. The entire family takes them. According to Kardashian, 'They really do help with the time change exhaustion, and they make us all a little sleepy on the plane too, so we can all nap, burn up some time, and arrive refreshed.'
Although the brand Kardashian recommends isn't currently available, similar products can be found on Amazon. Boiron Jet Lag Relief is a plant-based, homeopathic product that has received rave customer reviews.
Healthy snacks
If long travel days make your kids feel hungry, you're not alone. Kardashian says she always packs snacks. She adds that, 'I try to keep things healthy on the plane but still enjoyable.' According to Kardashian, her kids are fans of Siete chips, which are made with avocado oil and come in a wide range of flavors.
The Kardashian family also snacks on fresh fruit, smoothie packs, and crunchy cauliflower puffs.
Pajamas
Kardashian always packs pajamas on each flight, both for her kids and herself. We love the adorable 100 percent cotton pajamas from Honest Baby because you can order matching ensembles for men, women, kids, and even the family pets.
Laptops or iPads
The Kardashian kids pack their own bags for the plane, including books, blankets, socks, toys, and puzzles. Kardashian says they also get to choose which movies they download on their laptops or iPads (as long as their mom approves them).
iPads can be expensive, but Amazon has fantastic deals on refurbished models if you aren't working with the same budget as a Kardashian.
Mini Clorox wipes
At the end of her post, Kardashian includes a few must-have items from friend and colleague Sam Hyatt. First, Hyatt recommends using miniature Clorox wipes for disinfecting plane seats, belt buckles, and other surfaces.
Propolis Throat Spray by Beekeeper's Naturals
Hyatt also recommends Propolis Throat Spray by Beekeeper's Naturals. Says Hyatt, 'This Propolis spray is a lifesaver and really helps keep both adults and kids healthy.' The spray is formulated from over 300 natural compounds and clean ingredients.
We might not be able to travel quite as luxuriously as the Kardashians, but thanks to these tips, we can be equally prepared.

Here's when assigned seats are coming to Southwest — and so are new fees

Southwest Airlines announced Monday it will move to assigned seating on Jan. 27, 2026. The airline is not currently accepting reservations past Jan. 26. Previously, the airline operated on a first-come, first-seated model, where passengers could select any open seat once they boarded the airplane. Southwest has been undergoing a transformation over the last year or so, becoming more similar to other airlines in the U.S. with bundled fares, checked bag fees, a plan for more premium seating and other changes. 'Our customers want more choice and greater control over their travel experience,' Tony Roach, executive vice president of customer and brand at Southwest Airlines said in a statement. 'Assigned seating unlocks new opportunities for our customers – including the ability to select Extra Legroom seats – and removes the uncertainty of not knowing where they will sit in the cabin. This is an important step in our evolution, and we're excited to pair these enhancements with our legendary customer service.' Once the swap happens, Southwest will also move to group-based boarding, with Rapid Rewards elites and premium ticketholders boarding earliest in the process. Southwest's new fare bundles will include a basic economy option that does not allow customers to choose their seats before check-in. The airline moved away from its previous two free checked bags policy in May, and now charges a fee to check luggage on new reservations, beginning at $35 for the first suitcase. Bernard Arnault's Private Equity Firm Leads $800 Million Investment in Flexjet

L Catterton, the private equity firm backed by French billionaire Bernard Arnault, led a $800 million equity investment in Flexjet, as demand for private jet travel around the world continues to surge. Flexjet, the world's second-largest private jet company, said the investment by L Catterton will bolster its strength in the luxury market and allow it to offer more bespoke experiences and curated events that are exclusive to its customers. Affiliates of KSL Capital Partners and the J. Safra Group also participated in the funding round, Flexjet said in a statement.
