‘Peacemaker' is back for Season 2: How to watch, release schedule, cast
New York Post may be compensated and/or receive an affiliate commission if you click or buy through our links. Featured pricing is subject to change. There's never a bad time to rock, and there's never a bad time to watch 'Peacemaker.' Three years after the DC Comics-inspired TV series dropped its first season, 'Peacemaker' is finally back for Season 2 on HBO Max. 'Peacemaker' follows the titular antihero (John Cena) in the aftermath of 'The Suicide Squad,' as he's tapped to join a new mission in exchange for time off his prison sentence. In Season 2, Peacemaker is forced to face his traumatic past and find a way forward as he discovers alternate universes where he has a completely different (sometimes better) life. Season 2 will also debut a different opening credits sequence where the entire cast will perform a new dance to 'Oh Lord' by Foxy Shazam. The new season, written entirely by creator James Gunn, exists in the new DC Universe (DCU) that officially kicked off with Gunn's 'Superman' earlier this year; because of this, characters from that film will appear throughout Season 2 of 'Peacemaker.' While Season 1 is technically set in a different DC cinematic universe, most of what happens in that first eight-episode season is still canon to the 'Peacemaker' story. 'Peacemaker' release time: When does 'Peacemaker' Season 2 come out? 'Peacemaker' Season 2 premieres tonight, Aug. 21, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max. New episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET through Oct. 9. How to watch 'Peacemaker' Season 2 'Peacemaker' Season 2 is airing exclusively on HBO Max. If you're new to HBO Max, you can sign up for as low as $9.99/month with ads, but an ad-free subscription will cost $16.99/month. If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you're at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the discounted Disney+ Bundles with Hulu and HBO Max. With ads, the bundle costs $16.99/month and without ads, $29.99/month. 'Peacemaker' Season 2 episodes and release schedule While Season 1 had a three-episode series premiere, 'Peacemaker' Season 2 is dropping one episode every week for the next eight weeks. Episode 1: 'The Ties That Grind' – Aug. 21 Aug. 21 Episode 2: 'A Man Is Only as Good as His Bird' – Aug. 28 Aug. 28 Episode 3: 'Another Rick up My Sleeve' – Sept. 4 Sept. 4 Episode 4: 'Need I Say Door' – Sept. 11 Sept. 11 Episode 5: 'Back to the Suture' – Sept. 18 Sept. 18 Episode 6 – Sept. 25 Sept. 25 Episode 7 – Oct. 2 Oct. 2 Episode 8 – Oct. 9 'Peacemaker' cast: Who is returning and who is new for Season 2? Of course, the aforementioned Cena is back as Chris Smith / Peacemaker (and he'll also portray some alternate universe versions of Chris), alongside the rest of the 11th Street Kids: Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase / Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee as John Economos. Robert Patrick is also set to return as Auggie Smith / The White Dragon, Peacemaker's father, and Nhut Le is back as Judomaster. Some more familiar DCU faces will make their 'Peacemaker' debuts in Season 2 as well; Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner / Green Lanter), Isabela Merced (Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl), Sean Gunn (Maxwell Lord), and Frank Grillo (Rick Flag Sr.) reprise their roles from 'Superman.' Additionally, Tim Meadows will portray ARGUS agent Langston Fleury, Sol Rodríguez will play Sasha Bordeaux, Michael Rooker will play Red St. Wild, and David Denman has been cast in an unannounced role. How to stream 'Superman' at home Last week, 'Superman' flew onto home theater screens as it dropped on-demand from platforms like Prime Video. You can buy it for $29.99 or rent for $24.99 now. Gunn confirmed that the film's home video release after just over a month in theaters was due to 'Peacemaker's Season 2 premiere, stating, 'I wanted everyone to be able to see 'Superman' that wanted to, even those people who couldn't get to a theater before 'Peacemaker.' And that's really the reason for it.' Even for a Grade-A Refurb, Apple's 13″ Touch Bar MacBook Pro Is Shockingly Cheap at Nearly 80% Off
If you ever want to start a debate among Mac users, just say the words 'Touch Bar' and watch the fur fly. The OLED function strip was a feature of the MacBook Pro from 2016 to 2021, loved and hated by Mac users in equal numbers. Many of those Touch Bar MacBooks are still in service today, like this Grade A refurbished 2017 model that StackSocial is selling for just $325. The Touch Bar is hardly a sign of an antiquated machine. This 2017 MacBook Pro is powered by Apple's i5 processor and runs at a still-brisk 3.1GHz. The 8GB of RAM and 512GB solid-state storage are still competitive numbers today, and the 13.3-inch Liquid Retina screen is a typically great Apple display. The $325 price tag is a 78% dropoff from the regular price of a new 2017 MacBook Pro, which is why they're selling fast in this while-supplies-last deal. See at StackSocial The 2017 MacBook Pros that are part of this StackSocial deal are certified Grade A refurbished. That means it may have very slight signs of wear, but no dents and nothing that's visible from more than a foot away. The screen is free of scratches and screen burn, and the keyboard and trackpad are clean and fully operational. The battery is at a minimum of 80% health. Overall, it's in near-mint condition, ready to fire up and serve as your main laptop for years to come. The 2017 MacBook Pro can update to run macOS 13 (Ventura), but beyond that, the features include a built-in 720p HD FaceTime camera, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 5 that works on both 2.4 and 5GHz bands, and a battery that gives you up to 10 hours of surfing or streaming. Four USB-C Thunderbolt ports are ready for expansion to external storage drives and monitors. Then there is, of course, the Touch Bar. Apple's big yet divisive innovation serves as the laptop's Touch ID control, but also has app-specific controls, Siri access, typing and autofill suggestions, and adjustments for volume, brightness, and other functions. Apple removed them from post-2021 MacBooks, but this 2017 MacBook Pro has one for you to try for yourself. StackSocial's stock of 13-inch 2017 MacBook Pro laptops is dwindling and dwindling fast, thanks to the incredible $325 price tag that will only last as long as the supplies do. Head there now before they run out and grab yourself a Grade A refurbished MacBook Pro, and then you can take a side in the great Touch Bar debate. See at StackSocial
