USC continues to grow 2026 recruiting class, lands four-star OL Breck Kolojay

USA Todaya day ago
USC football already has a loaded recruiting class in place for the 2026 cycle. By no means does that suggest the Trojans are done adding to it. On Friday, USC picked up another big-time commitment, landing four-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay.
Kolojay is originally from Littleton, Colorado but attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 325 overall player and the No. 21 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2026.
'Just the trust I have in the staff and what they are building, and the people they are bringing in, it's all really special,' Kolojay told 247Sports. 'I think all of the people in the building will play a huge part in my success and development. The opportunity to play in Los Angeles, and in the Big Ten, alongside players I haven't played with in a while and guys I'm playing with now, it's an opportunity. I couldn't say no to.'
Kolojay is a big get for new USC offensive lineman coach Zach Hanson. The Trojans have struggled with o-line recruiting in particular for the better part of a decade now, but are doing much better at the position with the 2026 class.
USC has built up a ton of momentum on the recruiting trail during the offseason. Now it is up to Lincoln Riley and the coaching staff to carry that momentum with them into the field this fall.

Florida Has 'Jumpstart' For Top-10 Running Back

Florida Has 'Jumpstart' For Top-10 Running Back originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Florida Gators have three national titles in their program history (1996, 2006, 2008) and are trying to return to competing at that level under head coach Billy Napier. The Gators are attempting to build their program through recruiting. Rivals' John Garcia Jr. reported Friday that Florida has a "jumpstart" with four-star running back Tranard Roberts. The program is trending for another exciting prospect recently, with four-star receiver Brysen Wright from the 2028 class going viral for his insane one-handed catch at the NFL Flag Championships. Roberts stated that Florida was in the lead because the Gators recruited him first. "Florida was here first, so of course, they get the jumpstart!' Roberts said. 'Auburn is pretty much showing me everything Florida is showing me when it comes to this process." Roberts is the No. 7 running back in the Rivals Industry Rankings for the 2027 class. He is a native of Williston, Florida, and attends IMG Academy. The Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine believes that Florida is in the lead as well, giving the Gators the best shot of landing him at 76.1%. The UCF Knights (1.6%) and Florida State Seminoles (1.4%) are the next closest. Florida is the only school to have visited with the running back, having him in Gainesville for four unofficial visits thus far. Many eyes are on Gainesville this offseason after Napier's first winning season. Greg McElroy even said that the Gators could be a problem if they can run the ball effectively. Florida's lone commit from the 2027 class is four-star athlete Tramond Collins. Although there is only one commit from the class, adding Roberts would be a great way to kick-start story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 25, 2025, where it first appeared.

Alabama football 2025 season preview, predictions: Parker Brailsford

As we enter the 2025 college football season, there are likely few offensive lineman nationally better at what they do than Alabama Crimson Tide center Parker Brailsford. A returning starter along Alabama's offensive line, Brailsford is back for year two in Tuscaloosa this fall, entering the campaign as one of the top centers in all of college football. One of the players who followed Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer from Washington, Brailsford also returns to Alabama after turning down the NFL draft this past offseason, and as a result, is likely now set for an even better 2025 campaign compared to what was already a strong season a year ago. Here is everything you need to know about star Alabama center Parker Brailsford entering the 2025 season. Parker Brailsford player information Parker Brailsford career stats Brailsford is certainly not an unfamiliar face to college football, entering his fourth season this fall between his time at both Alabama and Washington. Across his prior three seasons, Brailsford has appeared in a combined 28 games, each of which he has started, receiving multiple honors along the way. Parker Brailsford 2024 stats Brailsford's 2024 season was his first at Alabama after transferring from Washington. A year ago, Brailsford started all 13 games for Alabama at center. Parker Brailsford recruiting ranking Coming out of high school, Brailsford was considered as the nation's No. 522 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class out of Saguaro High School in Arizona, where he was also ranked the state's No. 8 player. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Brailsford, a three-star prospect, was also considered the nation's No. 23 overall interior offensive lineman in the class prior to attending Washington. Before coming to Alabama, Brailsford was considered by 247Sports as the No. 22 overall prospect in the transfer portal last offseason, as well as the No. 2 interior offensive lineman. Rated as a four-star prospect, Brailsford also committed to Alabama in Jan. 2024. Parker Brailsford 2025 season outlook As we enter the fall, Brailsford's role for Alabama in 2025 is a given. The redshirt junior is cemented as Alabama's starting center entering the season, and barring injury, will remain in that spot throughout the year. Brailsford will help anchor what should be a strong Alabama offensive front, and will likely see multiple accolades this season, one of which could be All-SEC honors. Overall, expect a phenomenal redshirt junior season for Brailsford in which he is one of, if not, the best center in all of college football. CBS Sports predicts Michigan State football's first loss of the 2025 season

Who will be the Spartans first loss of the 2025 season? Brad Crawford of CBS Sports has an answer. Crawford recently released his projected first loss for every Big Ten team, and the Spartans' first defeat of the season is not all too surprising. Crawford sees Michigan State's first loss coming out in Los Angeles during the Spartans' first road trip of the season at USC on September 20. This is also the Spartans' first Big Ten game of the season. Here's what Crawford had to say about Michigan State: "The Spartans will go as far as Aidan Chiles can take them, as long as the defense holds up. Barring an early stumble, a potential season-defining Week 4 clash in Los Angeles could turn the tide for Jonathan Smith's first season -- though winning at the Coliseum won't come easy." With Crawford predicting the Spartans' first loss coming at USC, this would mean he believes Michigan State will open the season 3-0 with a perfect non-conference record. That is notable because the Spartans host Boston College during a marquee week two matchup from Spartan Stadium -- which I personally consider a make-or-break game for the 2025 season.
