KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor Red Giants (SRG.OG) face a do-or-die mission against CFU Gaming of Cambodia tomorrow for a spot in the knockout stage of the Mid Season Cup x Esports World Cup (MSCxEWC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Defending champions SRG.OG are staring at an early exit after a shock 2-1 loss to Myanmar's Mythic Seal in the upper bracket semi-final on Friday.
SRG assistant coach Poon "OzoraVeki" Kok Sing believes the team have what it takes to bounce back.
"We, the fans and the team, expected to be in the play-offs… this loss is pretty tough for us, and we definitely need to bounce back," said Kok Sing.
"We are very hungry to win the next game because we believe we deserve a place in the play-offs based on our current strength. We just need to learn from the loss and come back stronger."
Reflecting on the defeat, Kok Sing admitted that the team were "messy" in their gameplay and rushed key moments.
