SRG. OG beat Homebois to top MLBB standings
KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor Red Giants (SRG. OG) reaffirmed their dominance in Season 15 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) by brushing aside Homebois in commanding fashion on Saturday. Heading into the match, both sides were unbeaten and shared the top spot in the standings. However, in the much-anticipated top-of-the-table clash, SRG. OG delivered a resounding 2-0 victory over Homebois at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara, taking possession of the lead with two games remaining in the regular season. The win puts SRG. OG on course for a historic third consecutive league title and a potential unbeaten run — a feat they last achieved in Season 13. "Hopefully, we can go undefeated again," SRG. OG coach Michael Angelo "Arcadia" Bocado told the media after the match. "It's something that could give us an extra boost going into the playoffs. SRG. OG claimed 12 straight victories in Season 13 to secure their maiden league title in early 2024. They then carried that flawless form into the Mid Season Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last July — making history as the first Malaysian eSports team to win an international title.

The actor, known for action movies such as 'Paskal', 'Polis Evo 2' and 'Wira' says that his time since retiring has been largely spent with his family. But the husband of actress Hanis Zalikha said that he put his trust in God's hands and expressed his belief in divine providence. "I used to wonder what my income would be like when I stopped acting. But, thank God, I received two offers to become an ambassador," he said. "Before quitting, I told my wife that I was all right with living a simpler life. Maybe people will not know me or care about me, but I did not care about any of that. "When I quit, other forms of sustenance will come," he told BH Online. The 37-year-old actor encouraged others not to fear change. "People are often afraid to change jobs, but in reality, God's provision is vast. It depends on the individual and whether they dare to do new things or not," he said. Hairul announced his retirement in August 2023 while appearing as a guest on Era FM's 3 'Pagi Era' segment. The military action film 'Malbatt: Misi Bakara', released on Aug 24, 2023, marked his final appearance as an actor. Selangor Red Giants skip two events after setback
KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor Red Giants ( coach Michael Angelo "Arcadia" Bocado said his MLBB gamers' decision to skip two pre-season tournaments was a strategic move in their preparation for Season 15 of the Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY). Following their failure to progress beyond the group stage of the recent Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge Finals in Johor Baru, they took a break — opting out of the Malaysia eSports Cup and national qualifiers for the World Esports Championships (WEC). Filipino Bocado said the break was necessary for the reigning back-to-back MPL MY champions to revitalise themselves. On Saturday, opened their season with a 2-0 victory over Team Vamos, highlighted by a superb performance from John Vincent "Innocent" Banal. In the clash of league newcomers, DX Soul defeated Ocean Black 2-0, while Team Rey mounted a comeback to upset the highly rated JP Niners 2-1. On Sunday, former champions Homebois began their season with a 2-0 win over Aero Esports. Todak, who are set to defend Malaysia's WEC title later this year, were handed a 2-0 defeat by Monster Vicious. Vamos bounced back from their opening-day loss by edging Team Rey 2-1.
