Saint John Police Force issues Canada-wide warrant for wanted person

The Saint John Police Force is asking for the public's assistance in locating 30-year-old Dwayne Richard. Richard is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, issued on Sunday for breaching the conditions of his statutory release as he failed to report to the Parrtown Community Correctional Center in Saint John as directed, a news release reads. 'Richard is a serving a federal sentence of 2-years, 1-day for convictions of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, assault with a weapon, extortion, fail to comply with an undertaking, and fail to attend court,' the release continued. He is described as six-foot-two, 189 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his right forearm of 'DBD', on his chest of 'CYNIAH', and on his right shoulder of 'MY SPIDER.' Police are warning the public not to approach the suspect. Anyone with information on Richard's whereabouts are asked to contact Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. LaSalle has lowest Crime Severity Index out of Ontario municipal police services, according to Statistics Canada. Stats Can released police-reported crime statistics for 2024 on Monday. Included in this batch of data is the Crime Severity Index (CSI). Of the 43 municipal police services in Ontario, LaSalle ranked #1, with the lowest Crime Severity Index of 21.26, representing a 15.8per cent decrease from the year prior. T This is also significantly lower than the provincial average of 60.69. LaSalle also ranked #1 within Windsor-Essex. This does not include all municipalities policed by the OPP, just the ones in Essex County.
