McLaurin, the former Ohio State product, has dealt with plenty of poor quarterback play over his career since 2019. Things changed when the organization drafted Jayden Daniels, though.
McLaurin recorded a career-high 13 touchdowns last season while helping Washington reach the conference title game for the first time in three decades.
And so ...
The fact he doesn't have a new deal is a difficult pill to swallow for the vet.
And a reason why one analyst believes the All-Pro could be traded if a contract extension isn't agreed to.
Bleacher Report writer Kristopher Knox thinks the Commanders could trade Terry McLaurin to the Tennessee Titans if a deal isn't agreed to.

"It's easy to see how McLaurin could fit into Tennessee's offense and how he could help Ward during the early stages of his career. With $30.7 million in cap space, The Titans have the cap space needed to make it happen," Knox wrote. "And while Ward will bring excitement to Tennessee this season, the Titans probably aren't jumping into the playoff conversation.
"They're likely to again pick high in the draft order, which would make a second-round offer enticing."
With all due respect ... we find that to be nonsensical.
If Washington is serious about competing for a title this year, the team needs to lock McLaurin up with a long-term contract. Any trade would be a change in the wrong direction going forward.

McLaurin, who has been sitting out OTAs, is an answer to the Washington Super Bowl puzzle - now. A future second-round pick is ... not.
