The station began operating in 2004 and broadcast to the east London and west Essex area.
It is now called Nation Radio London and the new station is set to appeal to a wider audience across London.
Time 107.5FM had a focus on the Havering area where Time was based, and the news of its axe came as a shock to the show's listener s and presenters.
The Sun has contacted Nation Broadcasting, who had no further comment, and Lyca Media II Ltd.
Presenter Neil Andrews discussed the abrupt nature of the station shutting down, saying: 'Nobody had any idea it was happening.'
It occurred just hours after he'd finished his show, meaning he hadn't got a chance to say a final farewell to listeners.
Neil continued: ''I finished my breakfast show at 10am on August 1, came off air and was told that was it – it's over and the programmes were coming to an end at 2pm that afternoon. It was as abrupt as that.
'What hurt me more than anything else was that I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. I've worked in radio for almost 30 years and I know everything comes to an end.
'But it would have been nice to have said goodbye to the loyal listeners who rung us up on a daily basis.'
Neil also discussed the way the company had been run, calling it 'shocking' before the takeover by Nation Broadcasting.

Romford-based MP Andrew Rosindell has even written to Ofcom since the rebrand, with a concern over the 'significant reduction' of local content.
He said: 'Its locally produced content and community-focused broadcasting has been an essential part of its public value for many years.
'The station now primarily broadcasts networked content from other Nation broadcasting outlets.'
Lyca chief executive Raj Badhan previously said: 'Whilst we continue investing in our south Asian radio stations, our time as owners of 107.5 is ending.
'We wish the station's employees and clients well as it becomes part of the Nation Broadcasting Group.'
A number of Time's presenting team have decided to launch a new, independent radio station named All Hit Radio since the axe.

'Wednesday' producers receive corporation tax credits of up to €60m
The Irish-based co-production firm behind season two of the global Netflix ratings phenomenon Wednesday has received corporation tax credits here between €20m and €60m this year. That is according to figures published by the Revenue Commissioners, which show that, in the second quarter of this year, Metropolitan Films International Ltd received corporation tax credits of €10m to €30m for "Nero Season 2B ( Wednesday)". This followed Metropolitan Films International Ltd receiving tax credits of €10m to €30m for Nero season two in the first quarter of 2025. The producers have named the production "Nero" in a nod to the name of Wednesday's pet scorpion, Nero. Based on the Addams Family character created by cartoonist Charles Addams in 1938, Netflix's supernatural mystery comedy focuses on the teen years of Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega. The first part of season two of Wednesday was released on August 6, and set the record for being an English-language title ranked No 1 in the most countries at 91 in its first week. The second part of Wednesday will be released on September 3, and seasons one — first broadcast in 2022 — and two are the two most popular shows on Netflix currently. Season one of Wednesday was shot in Romania, and production transferred to Ireland in 2024 for season two. 'Truly magical' locations The latest season of the gothic mystery show was shot at various locations around counties Wicklow, Dublin, and Offaly. Executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have called the filming locations 'truly magical', with settings including Powerscourt Demesne in Enniskerry, Charleville Castle in Offaly and Dublin's atmospheric Deansgrange Cemetery. Accounts for the Metropolitan Films International firm behind season two, Willow Hill S2 Production DAC, show that the production spend by the company in the six months to the end of April 2024 totalled €29.59m. The number of people employed by the firm totalled 183, with staff costs amounting to €8.8m. Willow Hill is a reference to Willow Hill psychiatric hospital that features in the series. Tourism Ireland has made "behind the scenes" films on Wednesday to use as marketing tools aimed at promoting the locations to tourists overseas. Metropolitan Films International Ltd has received corporation tax credits totalling €46.1m for all of its productions in the 24 months to the end of April 2024. Revenue figures also show that Wild Atlantic Pictures Ltd has received tax credits of between €5m and €10m for its Rainmaker TV series. The figures also show that Metropolitan Films International received tax credits of €5m to €10m for its comedy thriller, How to get to Heaven from Belfast. Due to be broadcast on Netflix, the showrunner for the production is Lisa McGee — who was the creator of the multi-award-winning Derry Girls. Revenue confirmed in January that the value of overall payments made under the Section 481 film corporation tax credit scheme in 2024 was €121.63m.

Fans were absolutely thrilled to hear the news, and wished the young actor the best of luck in his new role. Daniel Lomax is the son of Leela Lomax and Louis Loveday, and has been played by various actors in the past. Before Sebastien stepped into the role, Daniel was played by Kyzo-Dre Murphy in 2017-2020, and 2023-2024. Before this, Beau Bell took on the role in 2017. The Chester-based soap is pulling out all the stops for its milestone year, with bosses promising some of the most dramatic storylines in its history. Fans will be left gutted as one popular character bows out in emotional scenes. But it's not all bad news, as two familiar faces from the show's early days are making a surprise comeback three decades later. Shock moment Hollyoaks icon returns to soap after a year off screen and there's a twist Producers are keeping tight-lipped on the finer details, but teased that the anniversary will be packed with nostalgia, shock twists and plenty of drama that long-time viewers won't want to miss. SHOCK EXIT The soap has teased another shock exit of a major character as it gears up for its 30th anniversary celebrations. This comes after a string of grisly deaths at the hands of village serial killer Jez Blake. From Hollyoaks to Hollywood James Corden played a caretaker in the early days of the soap. The former American TV host doesn't have much positive to say about his time on the soap, claiming it was "hell on earth." Since his short-lived time on the show he has gone on to bigger things including smash hit comedy Gavin and Stacey. Rachel Shenton joined the soap as aspiring glamour model Mitzeee Minniver in 2010. Over two years her character was sent to prison, got pregnant and had a number of romantic affairs. Since leaving Hollyoaks she has won an Oscar for best live action short film, The Silent Child. Rachel has also starred in White Gold and All Creatures Great and Small Emmett J. Scanlan played gangster turned anti-hero Brendan Brady. Emmett played the love interest of Steve Hayes, with their romance delighting fans until it turned violent. Since his departure Emmett has appeared in Peaky Blinders, The Fall, Gangs of London and even appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Emma Rigby joined Hollyoaks when she was 15 as Hannah Ahsworth. Hannah's eating disorder storyline was the first of it's kind on TV while other plots included being caught in a fire, gangland drug dealing and running away. Since leaving the soap in 2010 Emma has gone on to star in ABCs Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as the Red Queen. Other roles include guest appearances in Death In Paradise, Ripper Street and Fresh Meat Nico Mirallegro got his big break with Hollyoaks starring as emo Barry 'Newt' Newton. Nico's main storyline in the soap was developing schizophrenia which culminated in a suicide pact. He left the soap in 2010 and went on to star in My Mad Fat Diary, Our Girl, Rillington Place, The Ark and Common, Penance, as well as the Mike Leigh movie Peterloo and was nominated for a Bafta for his role in period drama The Village. Ricky Whittle used Hollyoaks as a stepping stone to break America. He played one of the soap's resident hunks, Calvin Valentine, from 2006 to 2011 - when he was killed off at his wedding. After leaving the soap Ricky cracked America starring in teen drama The 100 and America Gods. He also appeared in Strictly Come Dancing in 2009. Warren Brown joined Hollyoaks in 2005 for a year as evil Andy Holt. His stint on the show consisted of date rape storylines and a crime spree, before eventually being killed off. After leaving Hollyoaks, Warren became a big hitter in TV playing DS Justin Ripley in Luther, as well as major roles in a number of dramas including Liar, The Responder, Homefront and Good Cop. Wallis Day played Holly Cunningham in the soap for years before leaving. In 2021 Wallis won the role of Batwoman in DC's series, taking over from Ruby Rose. Viewers have already seen Jez take the lives of Dennis Savage, Dilly Harcourt, Tommy Odenkirk, Joel Dexter, Bobby McQueen and Robbie Roscoe. His daughter, Sienna Blake, recently discovered his trophies, along with Robbie's body, in his allotment. When she confronted him, Jez explained that he gets a thrill from killing and that she is the same. As soon as Sienna ran to tell the world about her dad, a fatal fall and injury left Jez convinced she had lost her memory, when in reality, she was pretending. Is she plotting to expose him for good? Meanwhile, the soap revealed there will be another shock departure this autumn. Will Jez kill again, or will someone leave the village and escape him? Fans are convinced it is a long-serving male character, like Tony Hutchinson or John Paul McQueen or Jack Osbourne, that could be leaving the village for good. TWO RETURNS Hollyoaks has also teased a return of two characters from the 90s. Their identities are kept under wraps for now - but fans are all thinking the same thing. Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: "If it's from the true original bunch, it must be Kurt and Jambo." Another agreed: "I could see it being Kurt or Jambo, after Kurt came back for the 25th." A third added: "I know the actor for Kurt is keen to come back." Kurt Benson, played by Jeremy Edwards, was one of Hollyoaks' original heartthrobs when the soap launched back in 1995. Known for his cheeky charm and on-off romance with Ruth Osborne, he was also best mates with Tony Hutchinson. His shock 'death' in a jet ski accident in 1999 was one of the soap's first big tragedies - though he later made a ghostly reappearance in 2013. Jambo Bolton, portrayed by Will Mellor, was another founding character and provided much of the show's early comedy. Famous for his laddish humour, hopeless romantic streak and daft schemes, he was also the first character ever seen on Hollyoaks' opening episode. Jambo left in 1998 to start a new life in London, but he too has popped back for special occasions, most memorably in the 2004 anniversary episode. FAN SURPRISE In a soap first, Hollyoaks is giving one lucky fan the chance to appear in a special episode – only to be killed off by serial killer Jez himself. The unique competition asked viewers to pitch why they're the ultimate superfan and deserve to be part of the dramatic 30th anniversary storyline. With scripts already written and filming underway, fans won't have long to wait to see how the shocking plot unfolds. Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and YouTube. 4 Daniel Lomax is the son of Leela Lomax and Louis Loveday, and has been played by various actors in the past Credit: WikiFandom

Plans unveiled for revamp of Dingle cinema bought by Cillian Murphy and Yvonne McGuinness
The developers behind the proposed arts centre for the former Phoenix Cinema in Dingle unveiled a preliminary design for the new venue at a meeting in the Co Kerry town at the weekend. Yvonne McGuinness, who had purchased the premises in 2024 with her husband, actor Cillian Murphy, was joined by planning consultant Laura Brock and architect Andrew Clancy in the second of a series of three public meetings they are hosting at the Phoenix. This 'sketching' phase of the consultations had an almost-full cinema witness the unveiling of a potential model for the new venue, and a discussion of its possible uses. Yvonne McGuinness and Cillian Murphy last year bought the iconic Phoenix Cinema in Dingle which had shut during the covid lockdown in 2021. File picture The ambitious plans for the approximately one-acre site include the addition of building of similar height next to the existing three-story cinema, the enhancement of the outdoor courtyard area, and the creation of exhibition and rehearsal spaces, as well as several residential studios for artists. The current main cinema area would be transformed into a state-of-the-art performance space with removable seating that would allow for films and theatre performances, as a well as music gigs. Yvonne McGunness, centre, at the consultation session at the Phoenix cinema in Dingle on Saturday, with planning consultant Laura Brock, left, and architect Andrew Clancy, right. Picture: Manuela Dei Grandi 'We are building less than what a commercial developer would, but we're building a good bit more than what Cillian and Yvonne would have ever envisaged at the start,' said Mr Clancy, a director at Dublin-based Clancy Moore Architects. No budget was mentioned for what would likely be a multi-year, multimillion euro project, but those involved in the development are mindful of trying to ensure the planning process is as streamlined as possible. Ms McGuinness — a respected artist who has a house in the area — and her team are aiming to have their plans for the venue finalised in the coming months to avail of regeneration grants being awarded in spring 2026. The current co-owner urged local people in Dingle to engage with the development team as early as possible to identify any potential issues. 'I've done a postcard drop. I've called into every street around here myself,' said Ms McGuinness of efforts to spread the word on their proposals. Having opened in 1919, the Phoenix in Dingle served as a cinema, concert hall, and events centre for more than a century for the whole community including these revellers at the Sea Angling Festival Dance in August, 1958. File picture The final instalment of the local consultation sessions will take place near the end of September when more-detailed plans will be presented. The early proposals at the Saturday meeting seemed to be warmly received by attendees at the Phoenix, with issues raised such as the lack of facilities for the youth of the town, and the need for the building to be accessible for the elderly and people with disabilities. The architect confirmed the proposed new building would have a lift, and that upstairs rooms would be accessible and available for local organisations to avail of. The Phoenix Cinema in Dingle. Mr Clancy also outlined the sustainable ethos of the new premises, with heat pumps as the primary source of heating, as well as the use of materials such as Irish timber, and low-carbon forms of cladding. The Phoenix had been put on the market by previous owners, the O'Sullivan family, after its closure during the first Covid lockdown in November 2021. It had operated as a cinema and entertainment venue for over 100 years, being reborn twice after fires — hence the name 'Phoenix'. Cillian Murphy himself had visited the cinema in 2010 for a screening of his film Perrier's Bounty, and other luminaries who have appeared at the venue include Rory Gallagher, who played there with the Fontana showband in 1964.
