Jan Larsen Joins ValidMind as Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Next Phase of Growth

Business Wire02-06-2025
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ValidMind, the leading platform for model risk management and AI governance, is proud to announce that Jan Larsen has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Larsen, who previously served on ValidMind's Advisory Board, brings a distinguished track record in capital markets, credit, model development, and enterprise risk solutions to the company's leadership team.
Larsen was formerly the President and Head of CRISIL Integral IQ (formerly Global Research & Risk Solutions), where he led enterprise-wide efforts to deliver cutting-edge analytics and risk solutions to financial institutions globally. His appointment marks a strategic move for ValidMind as the company scales to meet the growing demand for technology-driven risk management solutions across banking, insurance, and asset management.
'I got a demo of the ValidMind platform and was immediately impressed,' said Larsen. 'Model validation is a huge cost driver for financial institutions. ValidMind's AI-native solution addresses this challenge head-on by making validation more objective, consistent, and less error-prone—while significantly reducing both cost and risk.'
Larsen's decision to move from the Advisory Board to a full-time executive role reflects his strong conviction in ValidMind's mission to modernize how financial institutions govern and validate risk and AI models.
'The traditional paradigm of annual model reviews just doesn't cut it anymore,' Larsen explained. 'With AI accelerating the model development cycle, institutions need continuous validation capabilities to manage risk effectively. ValidMind is the tech-forward solution that enables this new reality.'
Larsen also highlighted the growing relevance of model risk management outside of traditional banking. 'As businesses of all types accelerate deployment of AI to automate and improve their operations, AI governance and model risk management will become a core function spanning across all industries,' he noted. 'The need for streamlined and automated solutions to enable these critical activities has never been more acute.'
As CRO, Larsen will lead ValidMind's global revenue strategy, working closely with the go-to-market, product, and customer success teams to deliver scalable value to clients navigating the evolving regulatory and risk landscape.
'Jan's leadership and depth of experience in risk and analytics are invaluable as we expand our footprint,' said Jonas Jacobi, CEO of ValidMind. 'His vision for a faster, smarter, and safer model validation lifecycle aligns perfectly with our mission. We're thrilled to welcome him to the executive team.'

Sharetru Federal Now Available: FedRAMP Moderate Authorized Platform Launches for Defense and Regulated Industries

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sharetru, a secure Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform trusted for over 25 years, today announced the commercialization of its FedRAMP Moderate Authorized platform, Sharetru Federal, now available to all organizations requiring strict compliance and security standards for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The platform was granted FedRAMP Moderate Authorization on May 2, 2025, under a Joint Authorization Board (JAB) Authorization, and is listed as an authorized service in the FedRAMP Marketplace. 'Our FedRAMP-authorized platform is ready out of the box—just point to the Package ID in your audit. No mapping. No stress.' — Sharetru Federal is live. With this launch, Sharetru has also introduced two new streamlined plans designed to simplify procurement for organizations in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), government contracting, aerospace, and other highly regulated sectors. 'Sharetru Federal is a major step in our commitment to helping defense and regulated industries share sensitive data with confidence,' said Martin Horan, Founder of Sharetru. Building on that, the company's go-to-market approach is focused on making secure, compliant file sharing easier to buy and faster to deploy. ' Our strategy is to make FedRAMP-level security accessible—not just for primes, but for businesses of any size,' said Brendon Ainsworth, Chief Revenue Officer at Sharetru. 'We've packaged an economical, audit-ready solution that removes friction from compliance and accelerates time to value.' Compliance Without the Guesswork Every site on the Sharetru Federal platform is pre-configured and locked down to meet FedRAMP Moderate minimums—so customers don't have to interpret the controls or implement additional hardening steps. There's no ambiguity. Organizations simply inherit the platform's existing authorization, referencing the FedRAMP Package ID F1311222650 — where Sharetru is listed as an authorized CSP — in their body of evidence. Sharetru's go-to-market approach is rooted in simplicity: we eliminate the guesswork and give compliance managers the fastest path to secure file transfer in a FedRAMP-authorized environment. As the Department of Defense moves toward full enforcement of CMMC, Sharetru's forward looking industry view sees FedRAMP authorization—not equivalency—as the only reliable path forward. Unlike 'equivalent' solutions that have varied over time in interpretation and audit readiness, Sharetru Federal offers the clarity, confidence, and defensibility that today's government contractors and regulated industries demand. CMMC Reciprocity: Designed for the Future of CUI Protection Because Sharetru Federal is FedRAMP Moderate Authorized at the IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS layers and aligned to NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 controls, it offers complete reciprocity with CMMC Advanced (Level 2) for the handling and sharing of CUI. It's one of the few platforms in the FedRAMP Marketplace to provide this level of alignment and assurance. No guesswork. No complexity. Just a FedRAMP-authorized, CMMC-ready solution for secure file exchange. About Sharetru Sharetru is a U.S.-based, cloud-native Managed File Transfer platform with a 25-year legacy of delivering secure, reliable, and compliant file sharing. Formerly known as FTP Today, the company has served thousands of customers in defense, aerospace, healthcare, government contracting, and other compliance-driven industries. Sharetru is trusted for: Flexible File Sharing Options: Users can share files via the web app, automate transfers with SFTP, FTPS, or FTPeS, or send files using secure share links. Granular Access Control: SSO integration, flexible user access groups, and clearly defined admin roles make it easy to manage permissions securely at scale. Compliance-Ready Platform: Integrated SIEM support, automated audit logging, and the required log retention help meet HIPAA, ITAR, DFARS, and CJIS requirements. From encrypted file exchange to audit readiness, Sharetru helps organizations meet the moment with simplicity and security.
