18 injured in Hamburg station knife attack, German woman detained
Eighteen people were injured in a knife attack during rush hour at the central railway station in the northern
German city of Hamburg on Friday, police said.
Earlier, emergency services had reported that 10 people had suffered serious or life-threatening injuries. All of the injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
Police said a 39-year-old German woman was detained at the station after stabbing people at random on platform 13/14.
She would be brought before a judge on Saturday, police spokesman Florian Abbenseth said, adding that the woman remained in police custody.
The homicide squad has launched an investigation.

Investigators believe that the woman acted alone and the stabbing was not politically motivated. 'Rather, we have findings that lead us to investigate whether she may have been in a state of mental distress,' Abbenseth said, adding that the suspect did not resist arrest.

Hong Kong girl, 15, arrested over ‘space oil' after dad alerts police
Hong Kong police have arrested a 15-year-old teenager after her father reported she was smoking an e-cigarette containing 'space oil' at home with her classmate, who is wanted by the force, the Post has learned. A source said on Saturday the classmate, who was also 15, brought an e-cigarette, which she claimed contained the anaesthetic etomidate, to the girl's home at Kwong Fuk Estate in Tai Po on Friday night and persuaded her they smoke it together. When the mother spotted them, the classmate immediately threw the e-cigarette into a trash can in Lau's room and left the flat, according to the insider. The father, 56, called police at 2.32am on Saturday after learning about the incident when he returned home, the source said. The daughter was arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, according to the insider, who added the classmate was wanted by the force. Space oil is a narcotic typically packaged in e-cigarette capsules and contains etomidate.

Japanese woman finds underwear-clad boss in her bed, calmly leaves and calls the police
The story of a Japanese woman who arrived home to find her boss lying in her bed wearing only his underwear has shocked social media.
