'Futurama' actor John DiMaggio asks $1.99M for LA home
A striking 1979 modernist residence designed by architect John Bleser, the dwelling is now listed for $1.99 million.
Best known for voicing Bender in the culty cartoon 'Futurama,' DiMaggio called the move 'bittersweet,' adding, 'It's where we've been for a while.'

The couple, both native New Yorkers, moved into the house as a starter home, but it became much more than that.

'We liked it so much. We ended up there for 14 years,' Miller said. 'A comfort zone is a wonderful place, but nothing ever grows there.'
Set against the Verdugo Mountains, the three-story hillside dwelling offers sweeping valley views, open-concept interiors, a regenerating brook and decks. Bleser's Bauhaus-inspired vision remains intact, with carefully preserved original detailing and recent modern updates.

Inside, the couple outfitted the space with work and play in mind.
'During COVID, I recorded a lot of things from home, and it was more of a studio slash office, in the house,' DiMaggio said. 'There's great work space in the house.'
A life-sized replica of Bender — gifted to DiMaggio by the creators of 'Futurama' — currently stands watch inside the studio, a physical reminder of the show's long legacy.
'That's something that I got from 'Futurama' a long time ago that only a couple of people have gotten,' DiMaggio said.

Outside, the property is a haven for wildlife — frequent visits from deer, owls and hawks have added to its peaceful, woodsy charm.
'It's a beautiful special place up there in the hills. And it's a really unique architectural piece of property,' Miller added.
Originally designed with entertainers and creatives in mind, the roughly 3,000-square-foot residence includes a dramatic glass conservatory with double-height windows, two levels of entertaining space, and a private third-story retreat with bedrooms and outdoor lounge areas.

The home's custom brook feature, lush landscaping and privacy fencing enhance its appeal, while its walkability to Ventura Boulevard and sushi favorites like Avi Cue and KazuNori add urban convenience.

DiMaggio's on-camera appearances span everything from 'Better Call Saul,' 'Modern Family' and 'Interview with the Vampire,' to voice work in 'Zootopia,' 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon,' 'Samurai Jack' and 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie.'

Miller, a veteran of both stage and screen, has appeared in everything from 'Blue Bloods' and 'Hightown' to Broadway productions with Carol Burnett and Michael Sheen. Her voice roles include 'Sealab 2021,' 'Frisky Dingo' and major video games like 'God of War: Ragnarök.'
The couple began dating in 2011.
They also recently went into contract on their Palm Springs home, which they've owned for 11 years. These days, they're spending summers in the Hamptons and continue to maintain a home in Manhattan's West Village.

'John was born in New York and raised in Jersey, so we're East Coast people,' Miller said.
Still, their hillside LA home holds a special place as they are still figuring out where they will permanently settle.

'It's the house we bought when we first got married,' DiMaggio said. 'So there's a lot of nostalgia attached to it.'
As for the life-sized Bender statue that currently resides in DiMaggio's studio? Miller offered one final note — with a laugh — to her husband: 'It will not come in the [new] house.'

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox on Disney+ review: twists itself in knots
'Story is a powerful thing,' intones the voiceover during an episode of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, a new TV miniseries produced by Amanda Knox herself alongside Monica Lewinsky. Who has the power to tell their story – or others' – is the issue at stake. Knox has described Lewinsky as her comrade in their 'sisterhood of ill repute'; this eight-part show on Hulu (streaming on Disney+ in the UK) is their attempt to set the record straight over what exactly happened almost two decades ago. But when the story has become so tangled in its retellings, can anything unpick it? Knox, 37, was wrongly convicted of murdering her British roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007, along with her boyfriend of just a week, Raffaele Sollecito. Excoriated in the British press as the she-devil Foxy Knoxy, she spent eight years on trial and four in prison. Two memoirs and a Netflix documentary later, she's still attempting to clear up the smear campaign against her. Is a TV show up to that mammoth task? Doubtful, but you can empathise with Knox here. Hollywood has already had so many bites of her apple – the pulpy Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy in 2011, then Matt Damon's Stillwater (2021), which Knox claims fictionalised her experience without her consent. Everyone's told her story on screen except her, until now. Grace Van Patten is fantastic as Knox, capturing not just her mannerisms but her unfortunate blend of brash Americanism and kookiness that gave the police and the press so much room to twist the knife. Each episode requires multiple emotional nadirs, yet you feel the fear, the distress, the choking grief with every micro expression. It's an all the more impressive performance given Van Patten came to the table late in production, after Margaret Qualley bowed out in 2024 due to scheduling conflicts. The whole cast is rock solid but too often the narrative eats the plot. Kercher's killer, Rudy Guede, is only alluded to in the second episode and doesn't appear until the fourth. By immersing the viewer in the confusion of the case as it unfolded in real time, those unfamiliar with the facts may lose their way. It should have been cut and dried. Guede was a drifter with a history of armed burglary and violence against women, who had previously been invited into the downstairs neighbour's home. His fingerprints and DNA alone were all over the crime scene. The jaw-dropping mishandling of the case feels like an exaggeration on screen. The phone tapping, physical assault during interrogation, a faked HIV test to weasel a list of sexual partners out of Knox. Sometimes the truth is so much stranger than fiction it is hard to comprehend. Blink and you miss the cross-contamination between evidence items alluded to in a quick panning shot. Kercher's role is handled sensitively – we never see her dead, only vibrant with life – but the show lingers over Knox's discovery of the crime scene, rather than the tragedy of a young woman losing her life. Understandably, Kercher's family were against this show ever being made. I doubt they will see this portrayal as anything more than another self-centred episode from Knox. Twisted Tale also extends more grace than it should to Giuliano Mignini (Francesco Acquaroli), Knox's prosecutor, who came up with the sordid and deranged theories about sex games gone wrong based off little more than a vibrator and Catholic guilt. Yes, Mignini felt persecuted by the public humiliation he experienced over his theories on the Monster of Florence case. The man sees satanic sex and death cults everywhere – that's far weirder than anything Knox said or did. I found Knox's memoir of her choice to make peace with Mignini incredibly moving. This show just re-ignited my petty loathing for him. Twisted Tale takes some interesting creative swings that brings Knox's oddball personality to life. Travel leaflets come to life with animations beckoning her to Europe. Subtitles for rapid-fire Italian fall away when she becomes confused during an intense legal meeting. A jury member pops his own ears clean off his as the bizarre trial set-up is explained via voiceover. Knox and Sollecito (Giuseppe De Domenico) were tried at the same time as Patrick Lumumba's case against Knox for her false confession – made under extreme duress – that implicated him in the crime. More of this zany energy would have been welcome, instead of the noir-ish police rooms where no one seems to have been able to locate the overhead light switch. The Italian investigators are cartoonishly evil, brooding in shadows as they come up with obviously stupid theories. But then again, the British media did swallow those lies whole. Tabloid hacks get off lightly in comparison, as brainless bottom feeders dashing off salacious copy on the hoof. For true accuracy, there should have been some cuts back to newsrooms where top editors salivated over slut-shaming front pages. Ultimately, Twisted Tale never seems quite sure of its audience. Americans will enjoy its hero's journey and cliffhanger true crime drama moments, but may falter at the hurdle of subtitles. Italians will baulk at the way their countrymen are portrayed, despite so much of it happening in their language. Brits will shudder at the melodrama of it all. A different edit would have made this show excellent. As it is, it gets tangled trying to escape the morass of all that's already been said about Knox. Even if the story has been told by the person who lived it, there will be plenty who refuse to see it as the definitive edition. The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is streaming on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland

Prince William's mistrust of Meghan Markle is derailing peace with Prince Harry: author
Prince William's alleged reservations about Meghan Markle are the main obstacle to a reconciliation with his estranged brother, Prince Harry, a prominent royal author has claimed. The Prince of Wales, 43, has reportedly not spoken to his younger brother for over two years — and their already-damaged bond was made worse with the release of Harry and Meghan's many money-making ventures, including a tell-all book, interview and Netflix series. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left royal secrets spilling into the spotlight, the future king is digging in his heels, unwilling to rekindle dialogue between the two camps amid deep-rooted trust issues, according to royal commentator Ingrid Seward. Advertisement 4 Prince William's alleged reservations about Meghan Markle are the main obstacle to a reconciliation with his estranged brother, Prince Harry, according to a royal author. POOL/AFP via Getty Images 'The flea in the ointment really is very much Meghan,' Seward told Fox News. 'She's disliked intensely by a large number of the monarchists of this country. They see her as being very… damaging to the royal family.' 'I think a lot of people in America feel the same,' she added. 'They don't like that Meghan [reportedly] dissed her husband's family and dissed her own family.' Advertisement Seward, who penned 'My Mother and I,' also mentioned the 'Suits' alum's ongoing rift with her own family, including her ailing father, Thomas Markle Sr. The pair's relationship became severely strained shortly before the As Ever founder's wedding to Harry, and has only continued to sour after Markle Sr. suffered a stroke in 2022. He has yet to meet his grandchildren. 4 The Prince of Wales, 43, has reportedly not spoken to his younger brother for over two years. Getty Images 'It's just extraordinary to think that her children have not met their grandfather,' Seward told the outlet. Advertisement 'I think people in the States find that extremely odd, and [we] find it very odd here. And I think that's a real black mark against Meghan's character. I think she hasn't been able to embrace… her own family, however much she feels about them. I mean, Harry's never even met her father, which is extraordinary.' Follow The Post's royal family live blog for the latest pics, news, exclusive details and more 'There are a lot of difficult emotions [to] get over there,' she added. The royal author's insights come just days after insiders told People that William and Harry are continuing down 'separate paths.' Advertisement 4 The royal author also mentioned the 'Suits' alum's ongoing rift with her own family, including her ailing father, Thomas Markle Sr. JAKE ROSENBERG/NETFLIX 'The rift is very profound and very long-lasting,' Robert Lacey, author of 'Battle of Brothers,' told the outlet. 'It will not be changed, in my opinion, until Harry makes a move and apologizes.' The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment. Sources told the outlet that Harry's calls and texts to William had gone unanswered. 4 Seward added that William has 'taken a firm stance' in keeping his distance from the Sussexes. Getty Images Seward, for her part, said that William has 'taken a firm stance' in keeping his distance from the Sussexes, however claims that Harry, 40, believes his brother had been 'unpleasant' to his wife, 44, during her time in the royal fold. 'Harry thinks that William insulted Meghan,' she said. 'I think when you have that kind of animosity, it's really hard to [get around it]. I just don't see any kind of reparation. I just don't see it at this moment.'
