Bihar Governor inaugurates training programme for nursery teachers of private schools of India
Based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Private Schools and Children Welfare Association (PSCWA) Bihar, a national training programme was started in Patna for nursery teachers of private schools of India.
The programme has been formally launched to train nursery teachers working in private schools across the country. Bihar governor Arif Mohammad Khan inaugurated the programme in the premises of PSCWA on Sunday.
Mr. Khan in his speech not only praised MoU but also congratulated Bihar on becoming the first State in skill development training. Teachers from every corner of Bihar were also honoured with kits, teachers also presented a detailed reflection on India's education system, cultural heritage and the role of private schools.
'Education is not limited to books only. Education is the power that connects a person with self-realization, moral strength and social responsibility,' Mr. Khan said.
He also asserted that the real backbone of every society is only two classes — teachers and doctors.
Mr. Khan added when we talk about the backbone of society, only two professions are considered the most sacred — teacher and doctor as one saves the body and the other saves the soul and these two pillars make any civilization great.
The Governor pointed out that the role of private schools in India has become even more important in today's times.
'Private schools not only impart education, but they shape the lives of crores of students and teachers. This MoU ensures that elementary education — which is the foundation of any student's personality — is ensured to have quality, training and a value-based approach,' Mr. Khan said.
He further said, 'This campaign should not be limited to training alone but should be taken forward as a 'National Teachers' Samman Abhiyan'. Education will be empowered only when the teacher is respected.'
Mr. Khan described the effort of PSCWA and the Government of India as a strong initiative towards the basic objective of the New Education Policy 2020 — inclusive, value-based and skill-enabled education.
PSCWA National President Syed Shamael Ahmad said, 'This MOU is not an ordinary agreement, but a proof of our commitment towards making the private school system self-reliant and empowering the teacher. We will provide such training to nursery teachers working in private schools across the country, so that they not only become better teachers, but also become guides to society.'
He also informed that training camps will be organized in a phased manner in all the states and districts of the country in the next 6 months. District presidents have already been directed to send a maximum of five eligible representatives from each district to this national training campaign.
At the end of the programme, Mr. Ahmad expressed his gratitude to all the guests and pledged to make this scheme in Bihar the most successful state

Earlier, in the wake of the July 2024 incident in Delhi, where several students died in a flooded basement of an IAS coaching centre, the Patna district administration conducted a survey of coaching institutes in August. The Khan GS Research Centre was among those flagged for violations. 'The number of students at the coaching institute had exceeded the available space,' District Magistrate Shrikant Kundlik Khandelkar had said, adding that under the Bihar Coaching Institute (Control and Regulation) norms, 'it was a violation of the norm.'

Patna: Responding stronly to Muzaffarpur rape case, popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir on Saturday questioned the very fabric of humanity in today's society. His remarks came after the tragic death of an 11-year-old Dalit girl, who was reportedly sexually assaulted and then denied timely medical care, ultimately succumbing to her injuries. Speaking to IANS, Khan Sir said, 'This is not just a case of crime, this is a question of our collective humanity." Describing the inhumanity of the incident, he said, 'Arif Mohammad Khan (Bihar Governor), who came to meet me, was very shaken. He told us, 'How can a human being be so devoid of empathy that a child – a 11-year-old girl – comes out limping after being raped, and even then, the system fails to respond?' She was taken away in an ambulance, and even then, she was shuttled between hospitals without proper treatment.' 'Where are we going as a society? The pain of another should feel like our own – this is the essence of humanity. If we lose this, then what is the difference between humans and animals?" he told IANS. Khan Sir further called on the legal fraternity to introspect. 'Why do some lawyers take up the cases of such criminals—rapists, acid attackers, and murderers? I know many responsible lawyers who refuse to fight for someone they know is guilty. It's time more people follow this principle. 'The suspension is a start, but it's not enough. There should be a clear protocol for critical cases. If someone is shot or raped, you don't delay treatment for paperwork. She died in the ambulance, waiting for admission. This is not just negligence – it's criminal apathy.' He proposed systemic reforms in hospital operations. 'In big hospitals, there is always a separate corridor for emergencies. Why don't we have one in Bihar's biggest government hospital? There should be a direct route for super-critical cases. A building alone doesn't make a hospital – it's the system and intent inside that matter.' 'In smaller towns or villages, you can understand some lack of infrastructure. But in Muzaffarpur? This is unacceptable. It brings shame to the entire district, the entire state.' Khan Sir concluded with a plea: 'We need to look within. These brutal crimes are becoming frequent. The time for silence is over. We have to stand up – as citizens, as educators, as humans. Because if we don't, we fail not just the victim, but the idea of humanity itself.'
