During the late 2000s and early 2010s, Eli Manning managed to lead the New York Giants to the NFL mountaintop on numerous occasions. Long removed from his playing days, the franchise icon added a new chapter to his ongoing story with a longtime rival.
When it comes to the top quarterbacks in NFL history, Tom Brady is at the top of the list. He racked up an all-time resumé during his playing career and is widely regarded as one of the best players in league history. Few QBs can say they've gotten the better of him on multiple occasions, but Manning is one of them.
Brady appeared in the Super Bowl 10 times during his career, walking away victorious on seven occasions. Of his three losses, two of which came at the hands of Manning and the Giants.

This weekend, sports apparel company Fanatics is holding its "Fanatics Fest" in New York City. Countless big names have popped up, including Brady. The longtime New England Patriots QB came out to a pro-wrestling-style entrance, igniting the crowd with his antics.
While making his way down the ramp, patrons began tossing Brady an assortment of NFL jerseys. Among those given to him was Manning's Giants jersey. Brady quickly sent the crowd into a frenzy when he ripped it in half.
The pandemonium did not end there, as Manning ended up storming out for revenge. He snuck up on Brady and jumped on his back at the bottom of the ramp. The two then made their way back behind the curtain together while enjoying a good laugh.

Brady and Manning first did battle on the game's biggest stage in 2007. The matchup ended up going down to the wire, with the Giants narrowly escaping with a 17-14 victory. They'd go on to do battle again four years later in another highly competitive Super Bowl clash. Manning would once again best Brady, leading New York to a 21-17 win.
In retirement, both Manning and Brady have hung around the game as TV analysts. The former is most known for his "Manning Cast" alongside his brother and Indianapolis Colts legend Peyton. As for Brady, he inked a massive deal with Fox Sports shortly after hanging his cleats up for good.

Arizona Cardinals receivers ranked in bottom half of NFL, per PFF

PFF puts the Cardinals' pass catchers in the bottom half of the NFL, coming in at No. 18. In the offseason of rankings and lists, we have some new team rankings for receiving corps. PFF ranked the 32 NFL teams' pass catchers. As you can suppose, the Arizona Cardinals, despite the dynamic play of tight end Trey McBride last season, are not highly ranked. The Cardinals come in at No. 18. The Cardinals tied for 11th in team PFF receiving grade in 2024 (78.3). Tight end Trey McBride was a monster, posting the second-best PFF receiving grade at the position (89.8), and came in at No. 3 in PFF's tight end rankings entering 2025. Marvin Harrison Jr. started off slow in 2024, but the rookie finished the campaign with a solid 77.2 PFF receiving grade. Anyone who follows my draft work knows I am a Michael Wilson believer, plus running back James Conner has recorded some very impressive seasons as a receiver in his career and tallied 414 receiving yards last year. You know there is not major confidence in the receivers when only two of them are even named, and one of the pass catchers mentioned is a running back. McBride was the volume receiver in 2024. Harrison was good but not great. They need more from Wilson and more from someone behind him, whether that is Greg Dortch, Zay Jones or someone else. Because McBride and Harrison will likely be the two focal points of the passing offense in 2025, there might be limited opportunities for Wilson and company, but they ideally could get two more guys to hit about 600 yards or one to hit 750-plus and another at 400-plus to balance out the production. If the Cardinals remain a run-first offense as well, it will also be difficult to showcase the passing game. We shall see what happens in 2025. "When did ring culture become a thing?" - Gilbert Arenas agrees with LeBron's notion of the media caring about championships too much

"When did ring culture become a thing?" - Gilbert Arenas agrees with LeBron's notion of the media caring about championships too much originally appeared on Basketball Network. LeBron James recently sparked a nationwide discussion after criticizing the media's obsession with defining a player's legacy solely by their championship count. King James argued that it makes little sense to judge an individual's greatness based on whether their team was able to lift the Larry O'Brien trophy, as basketball is ultimately a team sport that requires collective effort. Advertisement Unsurprisingly, Stephen A. Smith was one of the first to fire back, claiming that this was just another narrative LBJ was trying to push because he will never likely match up to Michael Jordan's six championship rings. However, Gilbert Arenas had a different take that firmly backed LeBron while using Kobe Bryant as a prime example to strengthen his argument. "What he's saying is actually correct. When did ring culture become a thing?" Arenas said. "When you talk about a team award — something that a structure needs to win — does not boost you in front of individual accomplishments." Gil differs from Stephen A.'s opinion Speaking at the Fanatics Fest in New York City on Thursday night, Agent Zero took the opportunity to challenge SAS's stance. Gilbert made a strong case for respecting individual legacies beyond just ring counts, calling out the hypocrisy of media members like Stephen A. Advertisement For instance, Arenas pointed out that in the early 2000s, Bryant was already a three-peat winner, yet the media still leveraged their right to compare him to Tracy McGrady, who at the time hadn't won any championship rings and was only a Most Improved Player of the Year honoree at that point. According to Gill, that was proof that championship rings haven't always been the deciding factor. Thus, he called out media members for running their biased and inconsistent narrative about "ring culture," highlighting how they conveniently use this factor to shape discussions and shift the goalposts to fit whatever narrative suits the moment. "When you used Kobe to frown upon what LeBron said, I would disagree with that," Arenas told Smith. "In real-time, Kobe had three rings; ya'll wasn't treating him like a three-ring player. You were treating him like a sidekick. He was considered a Robin, considered the next Pippen. In 2002, with three rings, we were still comparing T-Mac with Kobe. So, if you're sitting with three rings, you're still being compared to someone who doesn't have rings. What do you think happened? I need individual accomplishments. 'Can you please get rid of Shaq?' If it was about rings, there was no reason for the fallout between him and Shaq." Related: "He never ever allowed Air Jordan to enter into the locker room" - BJ Armstrong said Michael Jordan was very different behind the scenes Ring culture should not determine legacies If championships were truly the sole measure of greatness, then why isn't Bill Russell, with 11 rings, universally considered the GOAT? The reason is that MJ left an undeniable individual impact on the game. Mike carried the team offensively, as evidenced by him leading the league is scoring on 10 occasions, and that is why Jordan is kept at the very top of the GOAT ladder. Advertisement So, while Arenas managed to school Smith with facts and historical context, the bigger question remains: will other media figures begin to reassess how they measure greatness? Time will tell if the industry finally learns from this much-needed correction. Related: "I don't like him, and he don't like me" - Stephen A. PFF suggests position for Arizona Cardinals in 2026 NFL draft

While the 2025 season has not yet begun, perhaps we should pay attention to the guard position over the next few months. The 2025 NFL season hasn't even begun yet, but some are already peeking ahead past the season to the 2026 NFL draft. Pro Football Focus, using the dead of the offseason, gave one position for every NFL team that they should think about in the draft next year. For the Arizona Cardinals, that is at guard on the offensive line. The Cardinals did not address their interior offensive line with any premium assets this offseason, despite the unit finishing 2024 with sub-70.0 PFF pass-blocking and run-blocking grades. Isaiah Adams and Evan Brown must play better at the guard spots in 2025, or Arizona will look for upgrades in the 2026 NFL Draft. Truthfully, the Cardinals look at guard in the draft often. They drafted Jon Gaines in 2023. They took Adams last year and they added Hayden Conner this year. Now, PFF was mistaken in saying the Cardinals didn't address the offensive line. They re-signed Brown to a two-year deal after he played 2024 on a one-year deal and had a solid season. They also were in on the bidding in free agency for Will Fries, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings. They also signed journeyman Royce Newman, though Adams appears to be in line to start at right guard. If Adams doesn't work out, then the Cardinals will surely look to address guard again either in free agency or the draft.
