In July 2020, the social media giant launched the Creator Fund to allow its users to earn money by raking in views.
Generally speaking, according to HootSuite, TikTok Creator Fund influencers going viral with a million views a month may be able to add a mere $40 (£30) to their bank account.
However, Rhiannon was not put off and made her plea in a video on her @rhiannonlouisexo account.
She shared: 'Please stay for this whole minute video, as I'm trying to make money through the Creator Fund to basically safety-proof my whole flat.
'Because I have a three-year-old, and she's a climber and she's very accident-prone, and I'm gonna show you the things that I need to buy for my flat.'
The first item on her wish list was a baby gate, because although she already has one on her daughter's room, she needs one for the kitchen.
Rhiannon explained that at the moment they have to take it off and put it back on, which is tricky given the doors are different sizes.
The second item she wants is a door lock for her bedroom, and she added that there are lots of items in there she doesn't want her daughter getting hold of.
Next up were knob covers, and Rhiannon said: 'These are sort of just as a safety precaution, because I'm like an overthinker, like majorly.'
The next safety item she wants is window locks.
I'm a mum-of-2 on UC & fed up with people calling me a scrounger - yes I've got a £1.5k pram, I can have nice things too
She explained that someone had told her the council 'should be able to do it', but she wasn't sure and was going to check.
She said she needs around five to do the windows in her house.
Rhiannon concluded her video: 'If you stayed all the way through this video, thank you so much.'
Her video has racked up 17,000 views, but not everyone was too supportive in the comments.
One said: 'In other words, please someone buy it for me. You are hilarious.'
Another added: 'got enough money for makeup by the looks of it, which aint cheap, begging for money.'
However, one commented: 'well done you for doing your best. it's not easy.'
Rhiannon responded: 'I'm not asking for anyone's money. I'm asking for people to watch the video in order to make money. Bore off.'
CASHING IN ON TIKTOK

Although the revenue may seem lucrative, there are several requirements TikTok users need to be able to provide to successfully apply, such as being a legal resident of the US, UK, Germany, Italy, France or Spain.
You also need to be at least 18 years of age, boast 10k authentic - not purchased - followers, and the videos have received at least 100k authentic views in the 30 days prior to applying, Backstage reported.
According to Chris Kubbernus, CEO of Kubbco, a creative social media agency, hitting the required 10k-strong fanbase will most likely take 50–100 pieces of content, unless you already have a significant audience from another platform.
Several factors come into play when determining what kind of money creators receive, such as the number of views, view authenticity, other ways of engagement, including likes, comments and shares, as well as the creator's location.

'I adopted abandoned dog and one heartwarming gesture made it all worth while'

Mark adopted the dog who was left abandoned on the streets then named him Dexter, now the rest is history. He shared his heartbreaking story in a post on TikTok Sadly the many stories of abandoned dogs is all too common. Often dog shelter workers might find a microchip inside an animal, while another might be rescued from a Lidl car park. ‌ Either way, there's a new heartwarming story every day and this latest one might just make you tear up. Mark opened up about the heartbreaking story in a lengthy post on TikTok under the account soulpaws_tails which allows people to share their own case. It all begun when he saw a photo of the dog, who was unnamed at the time and nearly placed on the euthanasia list. ‌ But Mark saw a picture of the pup who "looked very sad and thin" then named him Dexter. ‌ At first, he didn't have a name because no one wanted to adopt him. After being found in the streets of Georgia, US, in 2019, and arrived at the shelter about 10lbs underweight with half his fur missing due to fleas and sun damage. Dexter was house trained and knew basic commands so he most likely had lived in a home before. In the clip, which garnered 6,100 likes, Mark revealed: "In the southern US, bully breeds like pit bulls, sadly have a very low chance of being adopted and once they're added to the euthanasia list, their fate becomes even more uncertain. "Dexter had been at the shelter for weeks without a single inquiry, then a rescue group called Fly With Me noticed him and decided to step in." ‌ Mark also recalled the first moment he met Dexter, one that changed everything for him. "He jumped all over us like he'd known us forever," he admitted. "Most rescue dogs need time to adjust but Dexter felt calm and at peace." He added: "From the very first moment he came home, he bonded with our cat Zoe incredibly fast, he's so gentle with her, they're always sleeping next to each other. ‌ "At first I planned to set some ground rules, like no dogs on the couch or the bed, but guess you broke that rule within just two or three days, yep me. "My fiancé still teases me about the day she came home to find me and Dexter napping on the couch together, he's the friendliest dog I've ever known, but sadly we've also encountered some judgemental people." Discussing one heartbreaking moment, Mark revealed how an elderly woman warned him: "That creature is going to attack you in your sleep one night," a sentence which stuck with him for so long. ‌ But none of it mattered to Mark as their bond is "unlike anything" he ever experienced. Along the way, Mark even faced health struggles where he was diagnosed with Lupus and developed a blood clot in his right leg. Mark explained: "We've been fight through everything together to me Dexter's like a therapist. "He's so in tune with my emotions that even if I don't say a word or move a muscle he somehow knows when I'm stressed. ‌ "He quickly walks over, lies down on my lap and just like that everything gets a little bit easier. "Dexter's energy has made me a more active person too, we go to the beach together, he runs like crazy and digs like he's on a mission. "Sometimes he even sprints through the hallways at full speed and he absolutely loves jumping on the bed." Since the video was shared, people were left touched by Mark's kindness. One said: "He's beautiful, thank goodness you found each other."

Mum walks into local charity shop and is floored by price of designer top

A woman was left gobsmacked when she went into her local charity shop and found a designer jacket that was so cheap in comparison to what she could resell it for Charity shops can be so exciting, as you just never know what items you're going to find. The possibilities are endless, and some are well known for being stocked with designer gear. But when one woman saw the price of a well-known designer top, she couldn't believe her eyes, as they're reselling second-hand for almost £200. ‌ Emily, who posts on TikTok as @thriftingwithem, shared she had an "amazing find at the charity shop," saying she couldn't believe it. She noted that "as per usual, there were some stunning pieces" she found, but there was one top she couldn't stop thinking about. ‌ The mum is a reseller, so she will purchase things from her local charity shop at the reasonable price they command, and then she will sell them on at a higher price. ‌ She shared she managed to bag some Tom's espadrilles for £5.99, and then later sold them on for £20 when she took them home, photographed them, and put them up on the app. "I sold them within 10 minutes of listing them on Vinted," Emily boasted. Emily then showed off a dress that still had the tags for a tenner, which was "still on the website for £79," and a sweet Ted Baker dressing gown for £7.99. She found a Diane Von Furstenberg dress for £24.99, and it can resell, according to Emily, for around £150. There was a new Topshop dress for £5.99, and she said she "loved" it, and with the retailer having a resurgence on ASOS thanks to Cara Delevingne, it's likely a good time to purchase this brand. A Sea Salt Cornwall dress also caught her eye for just £7.99, and there was a Next denim top with a sweet frilly collar for £4.99. ‌ "But this is where it gets interesting," she continued, as on the video she pulled out a black top, which turned out to be the designer brand Off-White. "I found an Off-White jacket for £6.99. If this is real, there is one selling online at the moment for £180," she gushed, asking people to tell her whether they thought it was authentic or not. Emily also noted if this jacket was purchased brand new with tags from the retailer, it would've cost over £400. ‌ In the comments, some criticised her for reselling items from a charity shop, but Emily defended herself, saying the shop "knows" that she's a "reseller". Someone wrote: "Sorry, just to get this right, you buy stuff from a charity shop, and then sell it again at a higher cost for personal gain?" A TikTok user said: "From what I can see that [the Off-White jacket] looks legit." Lots of other people agreed.

Woman shocks in extremely skimpy two-piece outfit & stunning long legs – but you'll never guess her age

HOT TO TROT Woman shocks in extremely skimpy two-piece outfit & stunning long legs – but you'll never guess her age Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A GLAM 60-year-old mum has stunned people with a ''shallow and awful'' outfit she rocked whilst everyone else was bracing for rain in coats and umbrellas. Stylish Sue Giers, from Hamburg, Germany, previously confessed that trolls tell her to 'dress her age' and call her a 'granny' - but she loves wearing everything from hot pants to stilettos. In the now-viral clip, which appears to have been shot on a chillier day, the bombshell proudly flaunted her toned body in a skimpy two-piece in public. The business owner looked phenomenal, wearing a floral two-piece and showing off her never-ending slim legs in sky-high strappy heels. Sue, who previously confessed that being ''basic'' is not in her ''DNA'' - strutted around, as she gave the viewers and strangers on the street a look at her daring outfit. The show-stopper of a two-piece featured a low-cut back, as well as strappy detailing paired with a figure-hugging mini skirt. Meanwhile, while Sue was dressed for sizzling hot weather, it appears that the temperatures that day were not as high - as everyone else in the background was keeping cosy with coats and long-sleeve jumpers, carrying umbrellas. But while Sue was clearly feeling herself, the comment section was divided - with many dubbing the stylish mum ''an attention seeker''. One critic said: ''Girl, you are too old for this. It screams desperate for attention.'' Another agreed, writing: ''Put some clothes on. I don't care how old you are.'' ''That outfit is awful,'' one of the 1.9million viewers shared their brutal verdict. Woman shocks with outfit that shows 'zero class' as she walks down the beach promenade with one butt cheek fully out ''That is not hot. And even if it were, the shallowness of that is unbecoming. Let's be better,'' someone else urged. Luckily for the German fashionista, it wasn't all negative - as there were also plenty of fans hitting back at the keyboard warriors. ''She's just existing loudly in a world that tells women to shrink as they age,'' wrote one Instagram user. Hottest fashion trends of 2025 Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street. The East/West Bag Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s' shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber. In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder. They've been on runway models' arms at nearly ever designer show - think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta - and are hitting the high street now, too. Powder pink Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025. Pantone may say that it's the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own. If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour. The shell jacket The '80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025. We all know we're likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket. Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in '80s windbreakers'. Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion! The turn-up jeans While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we're styling them is different. This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups. For this look, size doesn't matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good - but only as it's just one single fold. Peep-toe shoe Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event. After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style. From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street. Sheer blouses See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life - until now. Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S '25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season. Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks. ''And the fact that so many of you see that and respond with hate? That's not about her - that's your own fear talking.'' Another echoed, writing: ''she looks great, deserves to feel confident and is trying to inspire other women her age to do so. do better girls.'' For Sue, however, it's more than just about clothes - it's also a reflection of how far she's come. The mum wrote previously said: ''These pieces aren't just fabric: they're a celebration of the journey that brought me here. ''From moments of uncertainty to moments of pure confidence, my style reflects the courage to embrace every stage of life with grace and authenticity. ''I hope to inspire others to redefine ageing and beauty, showing that true style knows no age. ''Let's continue to empower each other to boldly express ourselves and live life to the fullest!'' Sue reminded in the uplifting post.
