Black Sabbath's Biggest Album Surges To New Highs After Ozzy Osbourne's Death
Paranoid Climbs to New Peaks
Paranoid is remembered as perhaps Black Sabbath's most important full-length. The group's second set marked a major high point in the early '70s, bringing the rockers to No. 1 in the United Kingdom for the first time. This week, Paranoid climbs to new best placements on both the Top Rock Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts in America. On those lists, the decades-old title improves to Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
Paranoid on the Billboard Charts
Paranoid has only spent two weeks on both of the genre-specific rankings where it hits new highs this frame. The set debuted last frame after Osbourne's passing ignited a surge in sales and streams. The set also rises on both the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales tallies, lifting to Nos. 27 and 39, though those numbers aren't the title's loftiest placements.
Paranoid Debuts on the Streaming Tally
The classic Paranoid can be found on two other tallies as well. It launches at No. 40 on the Top Streaming Albums ranking, giving Black Sabbath its first hit on that list, just weeks after the group played its final show together. The tally was introduced only a few years ago, so the band's absence until now isn't surprising.
Multiple Wins for Black Sabbath
Paranoid also appears on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, the only Billboard tally where Black Sabbath occupies more than one space this week. The bestseller holds at its all-time peak of No. 2, while The Ultimate Collection improves two rungs to No. 21.
The Lasting Legacy of Paranoid
When Paranoid was released in September 1970, it quickly established Black Sabbath's reputation as pioneers of heavy metal. The eight-track set includes some of the band's defining cuts, such as 'War Pigs,' 'Iron Man,' and the title track — all of which remain staples of classic rock radio and streaming playlists.

Ragdoll Mama Insists on Relocating Kittens in World's Cutest Heist
Ragdoll Mama Insists on Relocating Kittens in World's Cutest Heist originally appeared on Parade Pets. New first-time moms have a lot to figure out. If it's not how to parent on zero sleep, then it's figuring out how to remember things with baby brain, sticking to the newborn's demanding schedule, and even finding time to bathe (yes, really). For new Ragdoll cat mom, Strawberry, there's another factor that we humans deal with in a different way: keeping the kittens so they're safe and warm. It sounds simple enough, but Strawberry's location of choice is causing a stir with the humans. So, she does the only thing she can think of and moves them herself! Captioned, "Strawberry and her many attempts to move the kittens," this clip shared by @pearlsragdolls is a nonstop thrill ride! The adoring cat mom clearly wasn't satisfied with the initial location, so she took matters into her own paws to solve the problem (as moms tend to do). She wasn't about to let her children stay in a sub-par place like the crate *scoffs*—even if it's where the human preferred they stay. Yuck! The crate is for other children... not Strawberry's bouquet of perfectly frosted kittens! She had a plan in her feline mind to take the kids to the cat tower, where it's cozy and private, so that's what she did. Too bad Mom swooped in to put them right back, ruining all the Ragdoll's hard a house full of charismatic Ragdolls, Strawberry is a standout who seems to have taken lessons in mothering from fan favorite, Summer. She went viral for repeatedly relocating her kittens to the human's bed for babysitting duties. She even brought a kitten to "meet" her human sister, and it's the most precious thing ever. As you can see, the cat moms mean business. They want every single human to know their fur children, but also remember who's really in charge (them)! Strawberry Had 7 Kittens The lucky seven Ragdoll kittens are adorable and purrfect with names that begin with "Q." Quiche, Quincy, Quinn, Queso, Queenie, Quinoa, and Quinton all came bursting into the world, giving Strawberry her well-earned title of "Mom." The crew is the epitome of snow-frosted felines, and they're very vocal! One day the babies will be too big for Strawberry to tote around the house. For now, this new mommy is doing her best to keep them protected and (hopefully) in a place she wants them! 🐶🐾🐾 Ragdoll Mama Insists on Relocating Kittens in World's Cutest Heist first appeared on Parade Pets on Aug 12, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Aug 12, 2025, where it first appeared.
