Love Island's Lauren reveals ‘real reason' why she took Harrison back after secret scene was CUT from TV

The Sun24-07-2025
LAUREN Wood has explained why she decided to take back Harrison Solomon after his antics in the Love Island villa.
The dumped islander has gone "official" with Harrison since quitting the show, with the pair even talking about moving in together after just a few short weeks.

But the start of their romance was far from easy, with Harrison quitting the show after entangling himself in a love triangle with Lauren and Toni Laites.
Backing and forthing between the two women ultimately caused Harrison to decide to exit the series early, shortly after Lauren was dumped and she begged him to go with her.
With them both now on the outside, the pair have decided to give things a go - though talking on Love Island's Morning After podcast, it seemed there was more to their reunion than met the eye.
"Leaving made me realise I want to be with Harrison," she told hosts Amy Hart and Max Balegde: . "The last few days leading up to me leaving, I'd cried every single day and said I just want to go home.
"I didn't want to be there, and they just said, 'give it a go with Ty. Give it a go with Ty'. I couldn't forget about Harrison. Like, as much as he's hurt me, I felt like deep down I knew that things were going to work out and we were meant to be."
Speaking about his previous behaviour, Lauren said: "Obviously I was upset and angry with him for his actions.
"We'd said a couple of things for the days that we were meant to be staying away from each other.
"I feel like we still give each other the little looks. Then on the night that I left, he kept saying are you okay? You okay?
"And after few days of not saying a lot, I said to him I miss you, and I knew that we were going to have a chat."
"Then obviously, I had that chat with him, and I feel like, for the viewers, they all just thought, 'Why is she asking him to leave with him when they've not even made up?'" she added.
Watch moment Love Island's Harrison takes savage swipe at villa couple and says there's 'no chance' they will win
"But we'd briefly had a conversation, and he'd said he was wanting to close things off with me."
"I asked him out of emotion. I probably shouldn't have asked him that, because it was a big thing to ask, but at the time, I just thought, I want him to leave with me, I want to be with him. I want to make it work."
"As much as he'd hurt me, I was willing to try and move forward and forget the past, because he's made a mistake," she concluded.
"We all make mistakes. I just think he made a pretty big mistake, but I do think like he did that out of emotion, and he knows he shouldn't have done that."
Her comments come shortly after Lauren said she felt Harrison had proved himself in her eyes when it came to romance.
"It did affect the trust, him doing what he's done, but I do think, genuinely, him doing that and seeing how much upset he caused made him realise he needs to communicate better," she said.
"He can't do things like that, and I do think deep down, he never meant to hurt anyone. He just got lost in his feelings and acted in a wrong way and made a silly mistake."
"I think him leaving the villa showed me everything I needed to know," she concluded.
"You're not gonna leave the villa if you're not sure of someone, and I think that showed me everything."

James Middleton shares rare video of 'cheeky' son Inigo as toddler plays with family dogs and hikes with his mother on sun-soaked holiday

James Middleton has shared a touching message for his 'adventurous' and 'cheeky' son ahead of the toddler's second birthday in October. The brother of the Princess of Wales posted a heartwarming video of Inigo wandering through the countryside with his mother, Alizée Thevenet, and their dogs. The tot was seen throwing sticks into a small creek and even trying to push his mother into the water at one point. In the short clip, Inigo donned a khaki green dungarees romper, a blue T shirt and a sun hat to cover his face from the summer sunshine. Reflecting on Inigo's forthcoming birthday, James, 37, took to Instagram to post the candid clip alongside a heartfelt message celebrating the joy his son has brought into their lives. James wrote in his caption: 'My adventurous (and cheeky) little boy how are you nearly two already. 'Everyone says it goes fast…but I didn't realise it would be this fast'. The businessman and mental health advocate, who is known for his love of the outdoors and his close bond with his dogs, rarely shares intimate glimpses of family life. However, the sweet video offered his followers a unique look into the wholesome adventures that the family enjoy. James' followers rushed to the comments section to share their best wishes for Inigo - with one noting he would have a blast with his cousin, the Prince and Princess of Wales' youngest son, Prince Louis. One person wrote: 'I can imagine him and Prince Louis having a very fun mischievous time!' Another said: 'So precious. Thank you for sharing such a sweet clip of your darling family.' Someone else wrote: 'Gosh, he really is getting so big. AND he gets around so very well.' A fourth added: 'I love his spirit and adventurous nature.' James and Alizée, who tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in the South of France in 2021, welcomed Inigo in October 2023. Since then, James has occasionally posted glimpses of their rural life together, often surrounded by dogs, fields, and fresh air. James, who founded dog food company Ella & Co and has been open about his past struggles with depression, has previously credited nature, animals, and now fatherhood with transforming his mental health. In April, James shared another sweet glimpse into family life with his son Inigo and wife Alizée to celebrate his own birthday. Posted a sweet home video to his Instagram account, James filmed his 18-month-old happily eating breakfast outside with two of their dogs sat on the bench nearby. A very cheery Inigo then took to the seat of a red tractor, while Alizée watched on with the family's dogs. Wearing a personalised gilet, reading James&Ella - the name of James's dog food company - Inigo threw some feed to the family's chickens. Sharing the rare glimpse into family life, James reflected that there was 'no better birthday present' than spending time with his family. He wrote in his caption: 'Thank you, 38. I'm right where I'm meant to be. There is no better birthday present than that ❤️ 'Fresh air, wagging tails, and the wild, beautiful rhythm of family life. 'Moving in sync, tails wagging. On a journey, with Inigo at the wheel, headed wherever life takes us. 'Filled with joy, love and just the right amount of chaos.' James has frequently shared his love of dogs, and currently owns six: Zulu, Inka, Luna, Mabel, Nala and Isla. James is a breeder of cocker spaniels, and even gifted Kate and William his beloved black spaniel Orla in 2020, who has since appeared in several posts shared by the family - including Kate's cancer recovery video last year. He wrote a book about his beloved pup Ella, who passed away in 2023, and recently released a book called Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life, which has been described as a 'love letter to man's best friend'. Last month, James shared an adorable tribute to his wife Alizee to celebrate Mother's Day. Kate's younger brother shared a gorgeous snap of Alizee and their son Inigo, one, to Instagram on Sunday. Alizee looked as glamorous as ever in a red knitted jumper as she stood enjoying the English countryside sunshine. She was holding Inigo, whom they welcomed in September 2023, who wore a knitted jumper with embroidered tractors as he faced away from the camera. James sweetly captioned the photo, writing: 'Happy Mothers to all the amazing Mothers but an extra bit of love for this one.' His sister Kate has also shared a photo to mark Mother's Day, as she shared a powerful video about healing in nature.

Scotland's flagship indie beer festival returns to Glasgow with hundreds of beers to try

The festival returns to Glasgow for the third year in a row next month. Scotland's largest celebration of independently brewed beer is set to return to Glasgow this September. Indie Beer Scotland will bring more than a hundred locally made beers, ciders and spirits to the Clyde Rooms at Edmiston House. ‌ Running from Friday 5 to Saturday 6, September, 2025, the event marks its third year in Glasgow following a successful debut in Edinburgh in 2022. ‌ Organised by brewers from the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA), the not-for-profit group behind the UK-wide Indie Beer campaign, the festival is expected to draw crowds eager to support genuinely independent producers. ‌ This year's festival will be split into three sessions across the weekend, with each offering over 100 different cask and keg beers from across Scotland. Alongside the beer, festivalgoers can enjoy cider and spirits from small-scale Scottish producers, all under one roof. ‌ One of the organisers, Ian McGrath of Beath Brewing, says Glasgow has become a key location in the UK's growing independent beer movement. 'We big have plans for Indie Beer festivals across the UK in 2026 but it all started right here in Scotland," he said. "We are hugely proud to be the flagship event for the Indie Beer campaign and to be the festival that showcases the largest number of Scottish beers from independent breweries available anywhere. ‌ 'No big brands, no faux-craft, just great beer from genuinely independent Scottish brewers.' In addition to championing local producers, Indie Beer Scotland has built a reputation for offering quality drinks at fair prices. ‌ Festival organisers have confirmed that all 2024 pricing will be frozen, with a wide range of beers up to 4.5% ABV available for just £4 a pint. 'We are really proud to offer great value for money and to enable everyone to sample the huge range of cask ales, keg beers and lagers available at Indie Beer Scotland, so have once again frozen our prices, with all beers up to 4.5% available for just £4 a pint,' McGrath added. From crisp lagers and light pale ales to robust scotch ales and rich barrel-aged stouts pushing 10% ABV or more, the selection reflects the diversity of Scotland's independent brewing scene. ‌ The festival promises something for every taste, with both session-strength beers and complex, high-ABV styles on offer. JoJo Siwa's ex Kath Ebbs announces relationship with star athlete after heartbreak

Just months after their public split from the singer and dancer, the Australian influencer has confirmed their relationship with a famous athlete on social media JoJo Siwa's ex-partner, Kath Ebbs, has revealed that they are in a new relationship after their public split from the Dance Moms star. ‌ Kath and JoJo were together when the latter went into the Big Brother house. JoJo quickly formed a tight bond with Chris Hughes, of Love Island fame, and while viewers picked up on flirtatious vibes between the pair, they insisted that they were just friends. ‌ Shortly after JoJo came out of the Big Brother house, Kath posted a video online claiming that they had been dumped at the show's after-party. They said: "After two weeks of sitting back watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involves... I was dumped at the after-party.' ‌ Kath continued: "I was told that there are confused feelings there - do with that what you will - and that they had realised in the house that I wasn't the person that they wanted to spend the foreseeable future with." During an interview with The Viall Files, JoJo said that Chris was not one of the reasons behind the break up. She said: "I actually told this to Kath, like, 'Maybe it would be easier if he was! But he is not one of them, so if you're going to share the story, share the story… Don't paint it out to look like I cheated on you with him because I did not… I would not, and I have not." JoJo went on to date Chris, and the pair are currently still together. She confirmed the relationship at the start of June during an interview with The Guardian, saying: 'It's not platonic any more, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way.' However, Kath has now revealed on social media that they are also in a new relationship - with Australian rules footballer Tilly Lucas-Rodd. ‌ Kath shared a post of the pair kissing and getting cosy in a photobooth and added the caption: 'The rumours are true! YES I still (stupidly) believe in love!!' Tilly is an athlete for the Hawthorn Football Club who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. Earlier this year they opened up about getting top surgery and how it helped them to feel at home in their body. ‌ Kath's new partner told ABC Sport in June: "People often have asked me, 'How do I feel now that I've had it' — post surgery seeing myself. "A lot of people [who've had the operation] have really big emotions and really big elation. But for me, it was like, 'this is how I've always looked when I saw myself' … This is what I've always thought and always seen internally."
