Indian film industry where fame is fleeting and fortunes can rise and fall overnight, this actor has quietly built an empire and reputation for himself that goes beyond the silver screen. India's richest actor isn't just a star; he's a master of smart choices on and off-screen with a whooping net worth of ₹ 7500 crore, more than the combined net worth of Indian superstars like Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
India's richest actor is none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
In February 2025, Esquire Magazine revealed its annual list of the richest actors around the globe. Shah Rukh made it to the list with estimates of his net worth at $876.5 million (roughly ₹ 7500 crore), making him the fourth-richest actor in the world.
While the Badshah of Bollywood is only behind Hollywood legends like Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.49 billion), Dwayne Johnson ($1.19 billion), and Tom Cruise ($891 million) on the Esquire list, he also surpassed actors including George Clooney ($742.8 million), Robert de Niro ($735.5 million), and Brad Pitt ($594.2 million) with his wealth.
Back home in India, Shah Rukh Khan's net worth leaves his industry mates behind by a wide margin. While top stars like Salman Khan ( ₹ 2,900 crore), Hrithik Roshan ( ₹ 3,100 crore), Aamir Khan ( ₹ 1,900 crore), and Akshay Kumar ( ₹ 2,500 crore) boast impressive fortunes, they are still nowhere close to Shah Rukh's financial standing. Even Amitabh Bachchan ( ₹ 1,600 crore), Chiranjeevi ( ₹ 1,650 crore), and Nagarjuna ( ₹ 3,000 crore) who made their debut before Shah Rukh are yet to catch up to the richest actor in India.
Notably, the only Indian actor who is the most close to Shah Rukh Khan's staggering net worth is his own friend, co-star and business partner, Juhi Chawla.
She is India's richest actress with an estimated net worth of ₹ 4600 crore. Wondering where does her wealth come from?
Shah Rukh Khan made his Bollywood debut with the romantic drama Deewana (1992) after foraying into the entertainment industry with the Doordarshan series Fauji (1988).
He rose to fame with the 1993 thrillers Baazigar and Darr and went on to star in hits like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001) and the list goes on.
The actor had a setback after the failure of his film, Zero (2018).
He made a strong comeback with YRF's Pathaan (2023), which broke several records at the box office, including the first Bollywood movie to gross over ₹ 100 crore globally on its opening day.
His next was Atlee's Jawan, which was also released in the same year and became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.
His last release was Rajkummar Hirani's Dunki which was met with mixed reviews from fans and critics.
Dunki grossed ₹ 470.6 crore worldwide, but the film failed to live upto the expectations, replicating the success of Jawan and Pathaan. In fact, the filmmaker Rajkummar Hirani admitted that his film didn't live up to expectations in an interview with Komal Nahta.
When asked "One film that did worse than you anticipated at the box office," he simply replied with Dunki.
Shah Rukh will be next seen in the upcoming film, King. It will also have his daughter Suhana Khan alongside many others.

Virat Kohli mentions Test cricket for the first time since retirement: 'IPL win with RCB still five levels below it'

At last, after 18 years, Virat Kohli finally got his hands on the coveted Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in the summit clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to win their maiden IPL title. Kohli, who retired from Test cricket on May 12, addressed the importance of the longest format after the RCB won the IPL 2025 season. Kohli's Test retirement came as a shock to many as the right-handed batter called time on his career ahead of the all-important England tour, where India are slated to play five Tests. Kohli ended his Test career, having played 123 Tests, in which he scored 9230 runs at an average of 46.85. He smashed 30 centuries and 31 fifties in his 14-year-long career in whites. While speaking with former Australia batter Matthew Hayden after the IPL 2025 final, Kohli said that RCB winning the tournament means the world to him, but it still ranks five levels under Test cricket. 'This moment is right up there with the best moments I've had in my career. But it still marks five levels under Test cricket. That's how much I value Test cricket. And that's how much I love Test cricket. So I would just urge the youngsters coming through to treat that format with respect,' said Kohli. Kohli, who is the most successful Indian Test captain, having led the team to 40 victories under his tenure, said if young players want to earn respect around the world, then they need to take up Test cricket. 'So if you want to earn respect in world cricket all over, take up Test cricket. Give your heart and soul to it. And when you walk out with wonders on the other side, then you gain respect in the cricket world with legends like yourselves,' said Kohli. Speaking about the IPL 2025 Final, RCB posted 190/9 in the allotted twenty overs. Virat Kohli top-scored for the franchise with a knock of 43 off 35 balls. Krunal Pandya then returned with the figures of 2/17 in his quota of four overs as RCB won the contest by six runs. Romario Shephard took the crucial wicket of PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer. After the match came to an end, Kohli broke down and he struggled to fight back tears. The entire RCB squad came up to him to celebrate the victory.

Vijay Mallya recalls picking Virat Kohli for RCB as a youngster: ‘Remarkable he stayed for 18 years'

Fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya was in a celebratory mood as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lifted the IPL trophy after 18 long years. RCB earned a place in the history books after trouncing Punjab Kings in the final of the 18th season of IPL to bring the trophy home for the first time in 18 years. In a post shared on the social media platform X, the former owner of RCB recalled picking Virat Kohli for the team at its inception and said it was his dream to bring the IPL trophy to Bengaluru. 'When I founded RCB it was my dream that the IPL trophy should come to Bengaluru,' wrote Vijay Mallya. 'I had the privilege of picking the legendary King Kohli as a youngster and it is remarkable that he has stayed with RCB for 18 years. 'I also had the honour of picking Chris Gayle the Universe Boss and Mr 360 AB DeVillers who remain an indelible part of RCB history. 'Finally, the IPL trophy arrives in Bengaluru. Congratulations and thanks again to all who made my dream come true. RCB fans are the very best and they deserve the IPL trophy. Ee Sala Cup Bengaluru baruthe!' he wrote. After the establishment of IPL, an auction was held in January 2008 which represented eight different cities in India. The Bangalore franchise was acquired by Vijay Mallya. Mallya paid $111.6 million for the franchise, making it the second most expensive - just behind Reliance-owned Mumbai Indians. RCB acquired several high-profile Indian and international players, including Jacques Kallis, Anil Kumble and Zaheer Khan. In the second round of the auction, they also signed India under-19 World Cup-winning captain Virat Kohli. He was yet to turn 18. In nearly two decades with RCB, Virat Kohli has of course gone from strength to strength. His words after the IPL 2025 win give a glimpse into what the win means for him. "This win is as much for the fans as it is for the team. It's been 18 long years. I've given this team my youth, prime and experience. I've tried to win it every season, gave it everything I have,' said Kohli. 'To finally have it is an unbelievable feeling. Never thought this day would come, I was overcome with emotion after the last ball was bowled.'
