Pearl Jam Brings Out Legendary Rocker, 75, for Special Performance

What a night!
Peal Jam brought out Peter Frampton for a guest appearance during their concert in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday, May 8.
Frampton, 75, joined the band for a rendition of their hit song "Black" infused with a few lines from Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do."
"He was right up there," Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder announced to the crowd, per Ultimate Classic Rock. "It was one of the reasons that you loved live records. And later, we decided to release bootlegs because of his influence. He's such an incredible human being on top of it."
Frampton is no doubt a living legend. Before embarking on his incredibly successful solo career, he was a member of The Herd in the mid-1960s and Humble Pie from 1969 to 1971.
In 1976, he released Frampton Comes Alive!, which is regarded as one of the best-selling live albums of all time.

Frampton has also worked with industry heavy hitters like David Bowie, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Harry Nilsson.
In 2007, Frampton won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album for Fingerprints. In later years, he went on to release well-received blues and acoustic albums. However, one of his most notable accomplishments to date was being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.
Nowadays, he's gearing up to release new music with the help of his son, Julian.
"To be able to write with your own DNA is something spectacular, it really is," Frampton gushed in a March interview with WIVB. "Sometimes when we're texting backwards and forwards - we have this great app called Sessionwire, so we see each other's recording set-up and the mixer, and also it's like built-in Zoom, so it's phenomenal."

Hozier gave Outside Lands 2025 the send-off it deserved

Irish singer-songwriter Hozier brought Outside Lands 2025 to a poignant, powerful close, delivering a heartfelt and musically rich performance that nodded to the festival's rock roots — even as festivalgoers trickled out before the final note. Wearing a brown suede jacket and loose slacks, with his long hair tied back in a ponytail, Hozier took the stage with quiet intensity and a deep sense of gratitude on Sunday, Aug. 10. 'It's such a gift to be back doing Outside Lands,' he told the crowd. 'I was here a few years back now, down the other side of the hill, and I was taken by the fog rolling in. It's such a beautiful site. It's a beautiful city you have here.' His set spanned his full discography, opening with the haunting two-part 'De Selby,' then shifting into high-energy favorites like 'Jackie and Wilson' and 'Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene.' Newer hits — including the chart-topping 'Too Sweet' — were met with enthusiastic sing-alongs, while deeper cuts like 'I, Carrion (Icarian)' and 'Would That I' showcased his range, moving effortlessly from bluesy grit to gospel-tinged grace. In a weekend dominated by rising stars in rap, pop and EDM, Hozier's performance felt like a return to form — a reminder of the festival's earlier years, when guitar-driven acts like Radiohead, Pearl Jam and Neil Young took top billing. 'You still with us?' he asked midway through, drawing cheers before launching into the tender 'Like Real People Do.' Later, he added, 'You put a smile on my face. Thank you, Outside Lands,' before easing into 'From Eden,' which drew swaying and sing-alongs from the crowd. The set crescendoed with a soaring rendition of 'Take Me to Church,' before Hozier surprised fans with an intimate B-stage encore of 'Cherry Wine' and 'Unknown/Nth.' Despite the thinning crowd, Hozier's sincerity and magnetic stage presence transformed the end of the festival into something reverent — a final act grounded in melody, meaning, and a deep love for live music.

Pop Star Turns Heads in All-White Outfit on Seaside Vacay

Pop Star Turns Heads in All-White Outfit on Seaside Vacay originally appeared on Parade. Dua Lipa is still very much enjoying her summer and just took to social media to prove it. The English-Albanian pop star, 29, posted new photos on Instagram Saturday that show her at a seaside destination, donning a stunning all-white outfit that has sent the internet abuzz. Alongside the carousel of photos is a two-word caption that sums up the three-time Grammy Award-winner's vibes: "VITAMIN SEA." Lipa's fiancé Callum Turner is not seen in the photos, but Lipa is wearing her dazzling engagement ring in the photos. The Instagram post has already been "liked" well over a million times. In recent months, Lipa has been hitting other beachside locations around the globe. In June, the "Levitating" singer and fiancé Turner, 35, were spotted soaking up the Mediterranean sun along the Amalfi Coast. TMZ captured the couple at the Italy location, looking quite smitten with each other. What made these images particularly delightful is how refreshingly normal they looked. The Amalfi Coast has long been a magnet for celebrities seeking both luxury and privacy, and the two clearly found the perfect blend of both. The celebrity romance has been a joy to witness. Turner first gained recognition in the 2014 series Glue and has also starred in acclaimed projects such as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Masters of the Air (2024). Earlier in June, Lipa made headlines when she covered the late Sinead O'Connor's classic song "Nothing Compares 2 U" at her Dublin concert. While the fans at the show cheered, some online users seemed torn about the singer's rendition. 'Sinead is one of the best. Dua Lipa is not. Please don't remind us of that,' wrote one commentator. Lipa isn't the first to cover the hit song. Other artists including the late Chris Cornell and Miley Cyrus have given their own performances of O'Connor's track. Oasis' last hurrah? San Francisco queer nighclub acts shine at Outside Lands

Oasis showcased a lineup of high-energy acts during the second day of Outside Lands, reminding festivalgoers why it's long been San Francisco's premier queer nightclub — even as it counts down to its closure. The South of Market LGBTQ nightclub announced last month that they would close their doors for good at the end of the year, citing lower bar revenue and surging insurance costs. The club's last night open will take place on New Year's Eve, a full circle moment since opening on New Year's Day in 2025. But during Oasis' showcase on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the festival's pop-up queer space Dolores' performers from the club's nonprofit, Oasis Arts, spoke only of hope for the future as they drew in crowds to the multi-colored stage. 'It's sad, but the show must go on — and we put on a great show,' entertainer Marshalls Forte told the Chronicle before taking to the stage. Forte, a lead actor in the club's parody musical 'Jurrasiq Parq,' performed early Saturday afternoon with a posse of scantily clad dancers. It was just a taste of the campy production that runs at Oasis through Sept. 13. Oasis Arts, which intends to continue the club's mission of uplifting LGBTQ artists, was the second collective to host programming at Dolores', an open-air dance venue at the festival dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ nightlife. It presented a variety of performances, including go-go dancers from 'Reparations,' a monthly all-Black drag show, as well as a DJ set by Outside Lands veteran and the Queen of Bounce herself, Big Freedia. There were also appearances from a few of the club's most well-known local performers, 'Reparations' founder Nicki Jizz and Oasis owner D'Arcy Drollinger. With an impending end date of Jan. 1, the showcase was Oasis' latest effort to attract supporters that could potentially save the fate of the club, which has become a destination for celebrities from Jane Fonda to Cher and a number of 'RuPaul's Drag Show' stars. Pop star Doja Cat was the latest to grace the beloved stage, debuting songs from her forthcoming album, 'Vie' during an intimate performance after her headlining set at Outside Lands on Friday, Aug. 8. Dolores' LGBTQ-centered programming continues on Sunday, Aug. 10, with performances curated by Polyglamorous, a San Francisco dance-party series. The lineup includes a DJ set from 'Friday' singer Rebecca Black and a drag act from San Francisco performer Vivvy.
