Beyoncé brings back another 'Renaissance' favorite, debuts new looks for Night 2 in London
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter's "Cowboy Carter" tour landed in London for a second night, and the concert proved to be another high-octane spectacle with fashion at the forefront and an especially lively crowd.
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her June 7 show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium around 7:46 p.m. local time. The show marked her second of six shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is set to hit the stage again June 10, 12, 14 and 16, before heading to Paris for three nights.
"We're' gonna have us a good time. Are y'all ready?" Beyoncé said as she opened the show. Shortly after, she told fans, "I can tell this is going to be a show tonight." And it certainly was an electrifying, high-energy night from start to finish.
During the "Ya Ya" and "Why Don't You Love Me" mash-up performance, Beyoncé even took a moment to take in the energy from the roaring crowd. During the number she paused as fans loudly sang her ad-libs. This moment was indicative of the rest of the night as Beyoncé debuted new songs and many new fashion looks.
Beyoncé adds 'Break My Soul,' brings back 'Mute challenge'
During Beyoncé's London opener June 5, fans were surprised when she performed her 2022 hit song "Energy." Of course, that also meant Beyoncé prompted fans to do the Renaissance World Tour hallmark: the "mute challenge."
Well, the energy continued during her second London concert when she performed the song again and the entire stadium went silent for the challenge.
A new addition awaited, however, as she brought back another Renaissance song and fan favorite — her hit 2022 single "Break My Soul." One fan wrote, "London won again! We got Break My Soul!"
Beyoncé serves looks, looks and more looks on London stage
Of course, Beyoncé's tour has been a huge showcase of fashion and creativity. Each night, Beyoncé continues to blend high fashion and cowboy couture, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as they anticipate a new look. Saturday night's show was a huge fashion moment with Beyoncé serving several new looks.
She continued to bring Western-glam to the stage with more sparkly chaps, cowboy hats, boots and fringe. During her "Alliigator Tears" performance, Beyoncé showed off a new look featuring fringe gloves, a white top, a white skirt and thigh-high boots.
The looks kept coming throughout the show, and fans were left talking about her head-turning outfits, including her Versace look. At first, the Versace ensemble appeared to be a ruffled dress with matching gloves and boots.
However, as Beyoncé continued to perform, the look morphed into the same top with black shorts.
And Donatella Versace was there to witness it all. During the show, she sang Beyoncé's praises as she rocked her custom looks. Toward the end of the show Beyoncé have her a shout-out.
"We got Donatella Versace in the house," Beyoncé exclaimed as she wrapped the night.
As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26.

Leslie Odom Jr. joins ‘Hamilton' this September. How much are tickets?

Vivid Seats is the New York Post's official ticketing partner. We may receive revenue from this partnership for sharing this content and/or when you make a purchase. Featured pricing is subject to change. One of Broadway's greatest villains — Aaron Burr — is returning to the scene of the crime. Starting Sept. 9, Leslie Odom Jr. will step back into the disgraced former Vice President's shoes for the second time in his career. This time around, he'll portray the Newark native in 'Hamilton' for 12 weeks at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre. As of now, he's scheduled to take his final Midtown bow on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The juicy role, which netted Odom Jr. a Tony and Grammy during his historic 2015-16 run with Lin-Manuel Miranda, is one he can't wait to slip back into. 'Returning to 'Hamilton' is a deeply meaningful homecoming,' Odom, Jr. said in a statement. 'I'm so grateful for the chance to step back into the room — especially during this anniversary moment — and to revisit this brilliant piece that forever changed my life and the lives of so many.' According to The Associated Press, the gifted performer speculated he played Burr approximately 500 times in the mid-2010s but never tired of the part. 'It still had revelation for me, and it still gave me reason to look a little deeper and focus a little harder,' he noted. In an interview with The Today Show announcing his Great White Way comeback, he also teased more 'Hamil-ten' surprises, since the show is celebrating a decade since its inception. 'I'm not breaking any other news here today,' he coyly told host Savannah Guthrie. '…but I know they have a lot of wonderful things planned. It's a big deal and we're going to celebrate all year long.' If you'd like to be in the err, umm, uhh, 'Room Where It Happens' (sorry), tickets are available for all 88 Leslie Odom Jr. 'Hamilton' shows. At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one performance was $634 including fees on Vivid Seats. Based on our findings, all other shows have tickets starting anywhere from $637 to $1,613 including fees. Seats for Odom Jr.'s opening night are $642 including fees; the final show is going for $656 including fees. Although that's certainly pricey, keep in mind it was reported by Financial Planner LA that 'Hamilton' tickets were going for as high as $42.5K in 2017. All of a sudden, tickets under $700 doesn't sound so bad. Need a bit more information before smashing the 'buy Burr tickets' button? We're here to help. Taylor Swift gets VMA nomination for artist of the year. See her competition

Despite not releasing any new music in the past year, pop superstar Taylor Swift has clinched a nomination for MTV's Video Music Awards. And it's artist of the year. The singer has some fierce competition: Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Morgan Wallen, The Weeknd and Lady Gaga, who leads the pack with 12 total nominations. Last year, Swift took home seven VMAs, pushing her career total to a record-setting 30. Though he didn't attend the New York award show, she thanked boyfriend Travis Kelce for his support. "When I'd finish a take, I'd always hear someone cheering from across the studio," she said during her acceptance speech when "Fortnight" was crowned video of the year. "Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic." Swift wore a plaid corset and skirt by Dior, thigh-high boots and fingerless gloves that stretched past her elbows. She later swapped outfits, stepping into a custom bejeweled Monse minidress featuring a spaceship on the front in a possible nod to her song "Down Bad," which compares love bombing to being abducted by aliens. When are the VMAs? The VMAs will be broadcast live from New York's UBS Arena at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT Sept. 7 on CBS and Paramount+. Fans can vote in 19 categories by visiting Repeating history Swift's relationship with the VMAs is as glittering as it is dramatic, spanning more than 15 years of wins, performances and pop culture flashpoints. Her first nomination came in 2008 for "Our Song." A year later, she earned her first Moon Person for "You Belong With Me" — a moment famously interrupted by Kanye West. Swift had just begun her acceptance speech when West stormed the stage, declaring, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time." The moment became an instant cultural inflection point. That same night, Swift delivered a poised performance of "You Belong With Me" outside Radio City Music Hall. In 2010, she returned to the VMA stage with "Innocent," a poignant ballad she later confirmed in New York Magazine was written about West. She performed "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" in 2012. Two years later, she debuted her "1989" era with a high-energy rendition of "Shake It Off." When her dancers encouraged her to jump from a platform mid-performance, she quipped, "I don't care if it's the VMAs, I'm not jumping off there. People are getting bit by snakes — it's dangerous." In 2015, Swift performed "Bad Blood" in a mashup with Nicki Minaj after a brief public feud, hinting at reconciliation. That same night, she presented West with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, a gesture that appeared to close the loop on their rocky history. But just a year later, their relationship fractured again after West released "Famous," including the line, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**** famous." Swift denied approving the song. Kim Kardashian, then West's wife, released edited videos on Snapchat that painted Swift as dishonest, a narrative that years later was disproven when the full footage revealed Swift was telling the truth all along. In 2017, Swift premiered the snake-laced, Easter egg-heavy music video for "Look What You Made Me Do." She returned to the stage in 2019 with a technicolor performance of "You Need to Calm Down" and "Lover." At the 2022 VMAs, Swift celebrated the 13th anniversary of her first win by announcing her next album, "Midnights." She stunned in a sparkling Oscar de la Renta gown and later took home the award for video of the year, her third in that category. Feeling nostalgic? 24/7 music videos return to MTV ahead of the 2025 VMAs In 2023, she ruled the red carpet in a black Versace gown with gold accents and a thigh-high slit. Throughout the night, the cameras cut to the singer-songwriter dancing in the crowd with "Karma" collaborator Ice Spice. NSYNC reunited on stage to present her with the best pop video award for "Anti-Hero." Don't miss any Taylor Swift news; sign up for the free, weekly newsletter This Swift Beat.
