Tamannaah's ‘Nasha' Didn't Change Raid 2 Certification, Producers Say: ‘Not Marketing Tool'
It wouldn't be wrong to say that Tamannaah Bhatia has become the go-to girl for dance numbers in films. It was Kaavaalaa from Jailer that made filmmakers vividly take note of her dancing skills. What followed was a special dance number, Aaj Ki Raat, in Stree 2. Up next is Nasha from Raid 2, which stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor. However, as per reports, the addition of Nasha led to the film's certification being changed from U/A 7+ to U/A 13+. But in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, producer Abhishek Pathak reveals that's not the reason. 'It's not because of the song. We had a few cuts in the film, and we committed to a few more—that's why the certification was supposed to change. But it's still a U/A certification, so there's no problem at all. These cuts don't affect or interfere with the story in any way. The film has been cleared without any [visual] cuts. It's U/A 13+ without any cuts right now," he explains.

₹4.35 crore per minute: How a cameo made this star India's highest-paid actor; he beat Shah Rukh, Salman Khan, Prabhas
It was in the 90s that Chiranjeevi became the first Indian actor to charge ₹1 crore for a film. It soon became the benchmark to measure top stars, with the three Khans and Akshay Kumar soon joining the ranks, along with Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. But over time, the ₹1-crore sum became small, with even supporting actors charging that. Soon, it became ₹10 crore and eventually ₹100 crore. In the midst of it all, in 2019, an actor charged a staggering ₹4.35 crore per minute for a role, reshaping the economics of film casting. Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli are currently busy with the shoot of their highly-anticipated film SSMB29. It is being reported that the next leg of the shooting is all set to begin later this month. The big-budget action-adventure is finally moving into its next major schedule, and speculation is rife that global icon Priyanka Chopra may soon join the cast. 123 Telugu has reported that Mahesh, Rajamouli, and SSMB29's team members are gearing up to kickstart the film's next schedule on June 9. The soon-to-commence schedule will take place in Hyderabad. But it is not clear whether Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran will join for the upcoming schedule. Earlier this year, speculations were rife that Nana Patekar has been roped in to play an important role in it that will shape the protagonist's journey in SSMB29. As per reports, a look test was conducted for the veteran actor and he was supposed to play the role of Babu's father in the film. But seems like there's little truth to the story. When News18 Showsha reached out to Patekar, he told us, 'No." However, a while back, a reliable source had informed us that the RRR and Baahubali director had approached him last year but he politely turned down the offer. The reason? The role didn't entice him enough. The source further revealed to us that the makers of SSMB29 had offered a very heavy amount to Patekar for the role for the shoot of which he was supposed to allot about a couple of weeks. 'The money offered was close to an unprecedented Rs 20 crore. And he had to only shoot for about 15 days. But he felt that the role wasn't something that he wanted to sink his teeth into," the source added. As for SSMB29, it marks Chopra Jonas' comeback Indian film after The White Tiger that released in 2021. SSMB29, which is being compared to Indiana Jones for its scale and ambition, is written by Rajamouli's father, V Vijayendra Prasad. It's slated for a 2027 release.
