Tamannaah Bhatia on body positivity: The fact that I look a certain way…
Not just her dance moves in Aaj Ki Raat (Stree 2, 2024) and Nasha (Raid 2), Tamannaah Bhatia's outspoken attitude too continues to earn applause. An advocate for body positivity, the actor isn't one to shy away from conversations about self-image. While many in the spotlight avoid discussing body issues or resort to cosmetic procedures, not Tamannaah. She says she has had 'the edge of growing up literally in front of the camera'. 'There's nothing for me to hide. I was just 15 when I had my first release, so people have seen me change from teens to how I looked in my 20s to now. Post puberty, people have seen me change on screen,' says the 35-year-old whose film Odela 2 recently released in theatres. She further emphasises on individuality and says it's important to stand out in an industry where conformity can sometimes be unavoidable: 'I feel as an actor and performer, your biggest strength is in how unique you are. The fact that I look a certain way - it could be from the face to the body to the way I carry myself - is all unique to me. If I tailor that to how someone else looks, then I will lose something that's individual to me. I consider everything that's mine as my strength and also a differentiator. Otherwise we can't be impactful if we have the cookie-cutter approach.' To her, 'beauty is subjective': 'If I'm doing the same thing five or six others are doing, then why would filmmakers choose me? Clearly, I bring else to the table as well. Also, real beauty is about more than just shapes and sizes. It takes skill and craft to channel beauty. If you don't feel good about yourself, even the best body in the world won't make you feel good, the camera catches that instantly.'

Tamannaah Bhatia's song 'Nasha' was NOT the reason why 'Raid 2' got a U/A certificate, 'it's not a marketing tool', say producers
has been making waves for her song 'Nasha' after her song 'Aaj Ki Raat' from 'Stree 2' became a major hit. The song was a rage. While 'Nasha' could not exactly match up to the vibe which was created by 'Aaj Ki Raat', the song has still got decent popularity. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now This song of hers for ' Raid 2 ' might be considered a promotional tactic, however, the producers have now denied it and revealed that it has been beautifully stitched into the story. Meanwhile, 'Raid 2' starring , Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor has got a UA certificate which means the film is suitable for unrestricted public exhibition, but with a parental guidance advisory for children under 12 years of age. The producers have also clarified that this UA certificate is not because of Tamanaah's song. 'Raid 2' is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Kumar clarified, "It's not because of the song. We had a few cuts in the film, and we committed to a few more—that's why the certification was supposed to change. But it's still a U/A certification, so there's no problem at all. These cuts don't affect or interfere with the story in any way. The film has been cleared without any [visual] cuts. It's U/A 13+ without any cuts right now." Abhishek echoed his sentiments and said, "Nasha was conceived a little later. We wanted a certain character to uplift another character, and we wanted that to come into the film in a particular way. It has been stitched very beautifully into the film. If you see the film, you won't feel that it comes at an odd moment or was added later. It has been blended very well into the narrative. People will really enjoy it, including the song by Yo Yo Honey Singh" Kumar further said, 'People might feel that in a thriller like Raid 2, the songs would seem forced. But it's not a marketing tool. It became a part of the story so well."

Tamannaah's ‘Nasha' Didn't Change Raid 2 Certification, Producers Say: ‘Not Marketing Tool'
It wouldn't be wrong to say that Tamannaah Bhatia has become the go-to girl for dance numbers in films. It was Kaavaalaa from Jailer that made filmmakers vividly take note of her dancing skills. What followed was a special dance number, Aaj Ki Raat, in Stree 2. Up next is Nasha from Raid 2, which stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor. The track features her in a sizzling avatar and blends glamour with bold choreography. Tamannaah has surely made heads turn with it, with some comparing it to Aaj Ki Raat and others declaring her the undisputed queen of dance numbers. However, as per reports, the addition of Nasha led to the film's certification being changed from U/A 7+ to U/A 13+. But in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, producer Abhishek Pathak reveals that's not the reason. 'It's not because of the song. We had a few cuts in the film, and we committed to a few more—that's why the certification was supposed to change. But it's still a U/A certification, so there's no problem at all. These cuts don't affect or interfere with the story in any way. The film has been cleared without any [visual] cuts. It's U/A 13+ without any cuts right now," he explains.
