90s Twinning is the latest fashion trend stars can't get enough of -as Kylie Jenner & Maya Jama kick off summer revival

The Sun26-05-2025

CLEBRITIES are dressing vintage.
And we don't mean thrifted clothes from charity shops.
9
9
Not only do they have access to their own wardrobes, but of the archives of famous design houses from years gone by.
Why would they want to wear something they already own, when they could delve into some iconic looks of the past that regular folk don't have access to.
From red carpets to holiday snaps, the A-listers are taking a sustainable approach to fashion by digging out looks worn by other celebs decades previously.
9
Just last week Kylie Jenner wore a red crystal bikini reportedly costing $10,000 from Chanel that was originally worn by Claudia Schiffer in the 90s on the runway. And at the Golden Globes fans were left stunned as she channelled Elizabeth Hurley in a 1999 Versace chainmail dress.
Plus 90s icon Pamela Anderson has lent Millie Bobby Brown clothes from her own wardrobe, from decades gone by this year for her film tour of The Electric State, after Millie wanted to embrace 90s fashion for the promo tour.
Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale takes a look at how 90s twinning is the latest trend that these stars can't get enough of.
Kylie Jenner twinning Claudia Schiffer
9
Kylie loves a 90s throwback, having worn multiple 90s archive dresses to award ceremonies this year such as the Golden Globes and the BAFTA's, she's taken her love for archival fashion one step further this month - by wearing it to the beach.
Whilst on holiday in Turks and Caicos the 27-year-old posed in a red crystal Chanel bikini first seen on the catwalks modelled by Claudia Schiffer in 1995.
The bikini now reportedly is worth $10,000.
The high res bikini bottoms are spot on trend of the styles of today's modern swimwear, showing how timeless swimwear can be.
Maya Jama safety-pinning as good as Elizabeth Hurley
Elizabeth Hurley was fairly unknown in 1994 when she stepped out on the arms of her then boyfriend Hugh Grant at the premier of Four Weddings and a Funeral, wearing a £3,000 Versace dress held together by safety pins.
Sabrina Carpenter channels Madonna as she wears her vintage dress at MTV VMAs as fans praise the 'iconic' moment
That dress alone catapulted her into stardom and is still one of the most iconic dresses of the 90s.
So it's no surprise that celebrities would want to copy the look and whilst many have come close to wearing similar styles, Love Island presenter Maya was lucky enough to wear the dress for the MTV EMA's in November last year.
And didn't she look sensational in it.
Sabrina Carpenter shining bright like 90s Madonna
9
If you want to make a statement on the red carpet then why not look to one of the most famous women of the 90s and recreate one of her most glamorous looks.
And that's exactly what Sabrina Carpenter did for the 2024 MTV VMA Awards.
The 26-year-old wore a Bob Mackie gown from 1991 that was first designed and worn by Madonna for the Oscars.
And the dress has even more of a historical past, with the design being inspired by Marilyn Monroe in the 1953 film Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
Talk about an iconic history.
The sparkly strapless gown screams Hollywood glamour and shows that that style really does stand the test of time.
Millie Bobby Brown mirroring Gwyneth Paltrow
9
Millie Bobby Brown's latest film The Electric State is set in the 90s and the 21-year-old said for the promo tour she wanted to embrace the decade's fashion.
And she certainly hit her brief.
Not only has she been borrowing clothes from Pamela Anderson.
But she's seen here at the Madrid premier for the film wearing a sheer Armani dress first worn by Gwyneth Paltrow in 1998.
Gwyneth wore the dress for the premier of Shakespeare in Love that went on to win her an Academy Award.
Maybe Millie is hoping the dress will bring her the same accolades.
Jenna Ortega getting a Sarah Jessica Parker SATC look
9
Sex In The City was the TV show for fashion inspo in the 90s and Sarah Jessica Parkers character Carrie Bradshaw had a wardrobe many would be envious of.
One of her most famous looks was a newspaper dress from Christian Dior worn in the third season of the show.
Most recently Jenna Ortega stepped out for the premier of the Hurry Up Tomorrow premier wearing the same look.
The Gen Z generation do love throwback fashion, after missing it the first time around so it's no surprise people went wild for the 22-year-old's look.
With SJP even saying in an interview that I'm sure she looked great in it.
Lupita Nyong'o going for Linda Evangalista catwalk style
9
Award ceremonies are the perfect time for celebrities to do something creative and glamorous with their look, which is what Lupita Nyong'o did at this years Oscars.
The 42-year-old wore a custom Chanel gown that took 660 hours to construct and was made of 22,410 embroidered elements.
The dress was a reimagination of a Chanel dress from 1991, first worn by supermodel Linda Evangalista on the runway.
The dress was a hit, getting Lupita on a lot of peoples best dressed list and showing that dresses as fabulous as this should be worn more than once.
All the naff 90s clothing Gen Z thinks is trendy
Millennials survived Robbie Williams leaving Take That, the Y2K bug . . . and low-slung waists.
Despite slating millennials every chance they get, Gen Z are now busy rifling through second-hand shops and pop culture archives trying to bring back the most disastrous trends.
Fabulous ' Fashion Editor, Clemmie Fieldsend, shares the 90s fashion trends she thinks are "naff" but Gen Z think are "cool".
"They told us skinny jeans were uncool and, while I agree with them, it's hard to take fashion advice from someone wearing a skirt over jeans and a knit Andi Peters would have worn on kids' TV.
Pedal Pushers
I was astonished when I saw Topshop pedal pushers stocked on Asos. They were the go-to trew of fashion's most unstylish era – the late Nineties, early Noughties. And now they're back on Emily Ratajkowski and Alexa Chung, and being sold on the high street.
Fuddy Fleeces
The naffest of all the Nineties fash deemed acceptable right now has to be the fleece – you probably had a knock-off Berghaus one back in the day.
In October, customers went wild for F&F at Tesco's North Face dupe, which cost £37 (£283 less than the £320 original) and got seven million TikTok views.
Cropper Coat
The slightly padded waterproof coat is a hit with celebs at the moment.
As far as I can see, this coat is inspired by one of TV's most unlikely fashion muses, Coronation Street character Roy Cropper, who has worn it for the past 30 years on the cobbles.
But brands such as Prada and Bottega have seemingly been inspired by Roy's beige jacket."

The best golf holidays in Europe and the UK

A great golf holiday is the defining event of any golfer's year. Whether you're embarking on an intrepid jaunt through the wild, rolling contours of the UK's finest seaside links courses or strolling your way round a classic, pristine European resort, it's what we live for. Accommodation can vary from a modest B&B to the luxury of a five-star resort. But, for most, it doesn't really matter where you stay. The only thing that truly matters is that there is a high-quality – and if you're lucky – world-class golf course waiting for you each morning. This list of golfing gems encapsulates all of the above. Get ready to drool, golfers. 1. Dundonald Links, Scotland Located in the heart of this coastal golfing mecca, Dundonald Links is a spectacular venue, host to both the Women's Scottish Open and Final Qualifying for the Open Championship. The layout is known for its imaginative greens and challenging bunkers, earning a place among the star names of western Scotland. Under the owners Darwin Escapes, heavy investment has seen Dundonald Links evolve into a fully-fledged resort. Guests can stay in either the premium rooms or a collection of luxurious, self-catering lodges with putting greens out front. Dundonald Links (01294 314000) offers packages from £175 per person per night, including two rounds of golf and breakfast. Fly to Glasgow with easyJet from £60 one way. 2. Costa Navarino, Greece Offering an outstanding combination of world-class golf, five-star accommodation and numerous leisure and lifestyle facilities, Costa Navarino is regarded as one of the world's premier luxury golfing venues. Situated in Greece's south-west Peloponnese, the destination features four signature 18-hole courses and was named as the World's Best Golf Venue at last year's World Golf Awards. Away from the fairways, guests have a choice of four five-star hotels – including Greece's first Mandarin Oriental – as well as more than 40 dining and entertainment venues, state-of-the-art sports facilities, world-class spa centres and a wealth of experiences engaging with the region's culture, history and nature. Costa Navarino (0030 272 309 7000) offers five nights at the Westin Resort from £955 per person, including breakfast and three rounds on any course. Fly to Kalamata with British Airways from £221 return. 3. The Dunas Course, Terras da Comporta, Portugal Occupying a secluded setting on the edge of the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, the par-71 layout has been created over 84 hectares of natural, sandy terrain and has the look and feel of a course much, much older. The venue will open its second 18-hole championship course, The Torre Course, in summer 2025. Designed by Sergio Garcia and inspired by the 2017 Masters champion's favourite track, Valderrama, the course will be the first major layout that the Spaniard has held overall design responsibility for and is already being tipped to become a future star of European golf. Terras da Comporta (00351 269 096 583) offers green fees on The Dunas Course from £200 per person. Quinta Da Comporta (00351 265 112 390) has junior suites from €395 (£332) per night, for two people. Fly to Lisbon with TAP from £200 return. 4. Old Head of Kinsale, Ireland If it's good enough for Tiger Woods, it's good enough for us. When the 15-time major winner first walked onto the 12 th tee at Old Head his reaction was priceless: 'Holy crap!' he gasped. He was faced with a monstrous vision – 564-yards on a tightrope adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. You play this hole by aiming, not at the fairway, but out to sea at a 90-degree angle. If you hit a good one, the ball will dutifully sail back from the middle of the ocean and onto the fairway. No wonder Old Head has been called 'Pebble Beach on steroids' – a breathtaking, must-visit golf destination. (0800 043 6644) offers a night's stay at Kinsale Hotel and Spa from £383 per person, including breakfast, one round at Old Head Golf Links and one round at Castlemartyr Resort. Fly to Cork with Aer Lingus from £83 one way 5. Les Bordes, France Featuring 46 holes of world-class golf, as well as a collection of luxury private and contemporary accommodation and extensive lifestyle facilities, Les Bordes is regarded among the game's most prestigious golf venues. The site provided the ideal setting for world number one Scottie Scheffler to put the finishing touches to his game on his way to gold medal glory at last summer's Olympics. Serious golf aficionados can follow in Scheffler's footsteps this summer with the recent launch of Les Bordes' Once in a Lifetime experiences, which provide a limited one-time chance to immerse themselves in daily life on the 1,400-acre private estate. Les Bordes (0033 219 390 033) offers a Once In A Lifetime experience from £1,510 per room per night, including full board and daily golf on the Old Course or spa activities for two people. Fly to Paris Orly with British Airways from £140 return. 6. Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, Portugal If you talk to a golfer who has played at Monte Rei, you will notice they all have a quiet, confident assertion that the Jack Nicklaus-designed Signature Course – the North Course – is the best golf course they have ever played. Situated among the picturesque foothills of the Eastern Algarve, Monte Rei has become one of Portugal's most famous names – many people regard it as the number one golf venue in the Algarve, such is the quality of its facilities. Monte Rei has also begun construction on a second 18-hole layout, with the South Course also being designed by 18-time Major winner, Nicklaus. Monte Rei (00351 281 950 950) offers three nights from £580 per person, in a three-bedroom Miradouro Linked Villa based on six guests sharing, including breakfast, two rounds of golf and access to leisure facilities. Fly to Faro with easyJet from £110 return. 7. Camiral Golf & Wellness, Spain There is a beguiling calm about Camiral. Set among the rolling contours and pine forests of Catalonia, Camiral Golf & Wellness is synonymous with tournament-quality golf courses and luxury accommodation, including a range of beautifully designed villas, townhouses and apartments. With two acclaimed golf courses, including the Stadium Course ranked among the best in Europe, first-class sports facilities and wellness offerings, Camiral provides everything you'd need for an active (or relaxing) break. Located 10 minutes from the historic city of Girona and an hour from bustling Barcelona, Camiral offers something to suit all tastes in a truly exceptional setting. Camiral Golf & Wellness (0034 972 472 249) offers three nights from £1,000, including breakfast, one round at the Stadium Golf Course and two rounds at Tour Golf Course for two people. Fly to Barcelona or Girona with Ryanair from £85 return. 8. Portmarnock Resort and Jameson Golf Links, Ireland If you're thinking about heading to Dublin for a stay-and-play golf trip, Portmarnock Resort and Jameson Golf Links is the place to go. Various modifications have been made to Bernhard Langer's original 1995 design, including the elevation of tee boxes and greens to bring the sea closer to the course and create stunning panoramic views of north Dublin's Velvet Strand, and the famous island known locally as Ireland's Eye. This is the perfect base for golfers looking to explore the array of world-class links courses along the north Dublin coast – including Portmarnock Golf Club, The Island and Royal Dublin. Portmarnock Resort (00353 1846 0611) offers packages from £325 per person for one night between April and October and £160 from November to March, including breakfast and one round of golf. Fly to Dublin with Ryanair from £34 one way. 9. Praia D'El Rey Golf & Beach Resort, Portugal Situated on Portugal's majestic Silver Coast and just 50 minutes from Lisbon, Praia D'El Rey Golf & Beach Resort is home to miles of golden beaches, a five-star hotel, villas, leisure facilities and a pair of acclaimed 18-hole golf courses. The two layouts can arguably claim to offer the best 36-hole combination on offer anywhere in the country. Praia D'El Rey provides a remarkable mix of parkland and links-style golf, offering a unique experience and spectacular views over the Atlantic and the Berlengas Islands beyond. Praia D'El Rey (00351 262 905 100) offers two-night packages from £210 per person with breakfast, including two rounds on Praia D'El Rey and West Cliffs golf courses. Fly to Lisbon with easyJet from £78 one way. 10. Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland, Doonbeg, Ireland When you arrive at Doonbeg, you are immediately gripped with a delightful sense of isolation. In the middle of nowhere, you can feel the weight of life sliding off your shoulders and into the Atlantic. That serenity may be challenged somewhat when you're standing on the famous 111-yard, par-3 14 th hole, where you'll be playing anything from a wedge to a driver depending on the wind. Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg is a coastal haven, hidden on a sheltered corner of the Wild Atlantic Way where world-class golf meets an intimate spa, amazing food and access to the best activities, culture and heritage on offer in West Clare. (00353 6590 55600) offers a one-night stay from £850 per room, including breakfast and one round of Championship Links Golf. Fly to Shannon Airport with Aer Lingus from £40 return. 11. Sotogrande, Spain Three elite golf courses within one destination – that's hard to beat. Known for its quiet luxury, Sotogrande, situated on the spectacular Andalusian coast, offers an idyllic mix of world-class golf, Mediterranean beaches, fine dining, and wellness. And the golf courses? How does Real Club Valderrama, La Reserva Club and Real Club Sotogrande sound? Fly to either Malaga (from £100 return) or Gibraltar (from £160) with easyJet. 12. Royal Porthcawl, Wales Widely regarded as the finest golf course in Wales (Masters champion Freddy Couples is a huge fan), Royal Porthcawl is a dramatic test of your links golfing prowess. The opening few holes are breathtaking – running fairways, deep bunkers and raised greens that are hard to hit and difficult to hold. Most importantly, there are sea views aplenty. Not every links course gives you a good look at the sea and the beach, which are often shielded by large dunes. One of Royal Porthcawl's claims to fame is that you can see the sea from every hole on the course. Royal Porthcawl Golf Club (01656 782251) offers rooms in the on-site dorm-style accommodation from £145 per night for two in a twin room, including breakfast. Golf passes cost £225 in off season (October to April) and £250 during peak season. Trains from Cardiff to Bridgend run regularly. 13. Lofoten Links, Norway There can be no more mesmerising or magical place for a golf holiday than Lofoten Links. Located above the Arctic Circle in northern Norway and set against dramatic backdrops of ocean, fjords, mountains, and beaches, experience the midnight sun in summer and even potential views of the Northern Lights in early or late season. Lofoten Links is a spectacular 18-hole seaside course combining wild, rugged scenery with pure links play. This pristine golf course is a true bucket-list experience for golfers around the world, offering 24-hour daylight golf during summer. Lofoten Links (0047 7607 2002) offers three nights from £640 per person, including accommodation in on-site lodges and three rounds. Fly to Bodø via Oslo with SAS from £191. 14. Princes, England Ah, Princes. What a gem. Nestled along the stunning Kent coastline, Prince's Golf Club offers an authentic links golf experience steeped in history and challenge. Once host to The Open Championship in 1932 (won by Gene Sarazen), this 27-hole championship venue combines the character of traditional links with modern refinement, including on-site top-class accommodation, restaurant and bar. It has recently been announced that Princes will host the 2030 Walker Cup for the first time. Popular with both seasoned golfers and links enthusiasts, the course offers year-round playability with its sandy soil and sea breeze. Princes Golf Club (01304 611118) offers a night's stay in The Lodge from £325 per person, including half board and two rounds. Trains from Charing Cross to Sandwich run every hour. 15. Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort, Italy Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort, Autograph Collection is nestled in a verdant valley on Monte Argentario, one of the most exclusive locations in Tuscany's wild territory of Maremma. Kate Moss' unlikely inspiration from Pamela Anderson after huge transformation

Kate Moss appears to be taking inspiration from Baywatch legend Pamela Anderson as she stepped out at a huge celebrity party after ditching her make-up Kate Moss has taken inspiration from Pamela Anderson as she made a major change to her appearance. Original supermodel Kate is known for her glamorous appearance, but the 51-year-old made a huge change to her looks for a rather extravagant celebrity event earlier this week. The mum-of-one has always been known for her chiselled complexion and striking looks, but the model oozed sophistication on Tuesday evening while attending the 70th birthday of Sam McKnight in London. ‌ And it appears that Pamela Anderson was Kate's inspiration behind the bold move. Baywatch pin-up Pamela has gone completely make-up free in recent years and has been praised for the move. Now, it seems as though Kate is following suit as she stepped out completely makeup-free. ‌ Kate looked absolutely radiant as she posed with Sam at the glitzy event. The model, who found fame in the early Nineties, happily posed for photos with Sam, wearing a striking sparkling dress which perfectly complemented her famous physique. Kate completed her look with a pair of dainty gold earrings, while her blonde hair was swept back off her face and held together in a bun. Wellbeing is no stranger to Kate, who has her own beauty range, Cosmoss. But Kate has previously admitted her skincare routine isn't too high maintenance, despite being one of the most recognisable faces in the country. "I'd have to say I'm not very high maintenance when it comes to doing my own makeup," she previously said. Speaking to Vogue while putting on concealer, Kate added: "If I go out on a night... I'll put more on obviously, do an eye. During the day, I keep it pretty basic." And she previously switched her life up for a more relaxed outlook, explaining that she had been "meditating and doing yoga," giving her a new lease of life. She also sleeps with a facemask on after being advised by her daughter, Lila. Meanwhile, Pamela completely ditched make-up, joining the likes of Meghan Markle. ‌ "I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks," the American actress said. She added: "It's just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone's doing." Pamela previously opened up to Allure, explaining she didn't think people would notice her decision. She said "I just thought, 'I'm not competing with all these beautiful people,' I like that it resonated but it wasn't my intention to… Thinking everyone's going to get into this thing. But as I noticed it was resonating, I thought, this is really great." Kate's outing, however, could have been very awkward. Over the weekend, she snubbed her pal DJ Fat Tony's wedding after discovering her former Primrose Hill set pal, Fran Cutler, was on the guest list. Kate was due to walk down the aisle as a bridesmaid alongside reality star Gemma Collins and Coronation Street actress Claire Sweeney. But Tony was also in attendance at Sam's birthday celebrations, as the official DJ for the party. Tony has previously praised his pal for her new lifestyle after ditching her hedonistic lifestyle.

Kris Jenner follows daughter Kylie's lead and makes shock plastic surgery admission

has shared that she and daughter Kylie Jenner share the same plastic surgeon after the 27-year-old opened up about her breast augmentation in 2019. Kris, 69, shared that Dr Garth Fisher was also responsible for her 2011 facelift and called him a 'close and treasured friend.' Kris praised Fisher for performing her first facelift and thanked him for allowing cameras in the operating room. In the comment section of the surgeon's Instagram, Kris wrote: 'Garth you are such a superstar class act!! You did my first facelift in 2011… 14 years ago!!! '[You] made it the most amazing experience ever and even gave us access to film so that others could get a peek inside what it's like and not be afraid… you have taken great care of us always and remain such a close and treasured friend!! Such an incredible talent!!' Indeed, Kris' facelift was filmed for an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kris went under the knife to rejuvenate her face ahead of daughter Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kris Humphries. In the episode, Kris is in tears as she sits in the waiting room surrounded by her children. Clearly getting more nervous before the procedure Kris says: 'I don't want to die.' Kim soothes her by saying: 'Don't be nervous. If you're scared you don't have to do this. I'm sure everyone gets scared.' The children then pile on top of their mother for a group hug before they wave her off to surgery. While recovering from the operation, Kim assured her mom that the results were already positive. She said: 'Mom, you look fab. So gorgeous.' More recently Kris has been rocking a much more youthful complexion that has sparked facelift rumors. A rep for Kris recently confirmed that she sought the expertise of Dr Steven Levine - known as the 'facelift maestro' - to help her achieve her new look, according to Page Six. While the exact procedure Kris underwent remains unclear, the New York based plastic surgeon specializes in 'natural-looking enhancements of the face, breasts, and body' as per his website. Kris' shout-out to Fisher comes after Kylie revealed the surgeon performed her 2019 boob job. In response to her revelation, Fisher said he was 'honored' for the recognition while stressing the lengths he takes to ensure patient confidentiality at his practice. Fisher said: 'I'm honored to be acknowledged by Kylie - her kind post was unexpected but truly appreciated. 'Patient confidentiality has always been the foundation of my practice. Over 3 decades, we've never had a single breach. My entire team is thoroughly trained and bound by strict NDAs and confidentiality agreements. 'This is more than policy - it's our culture.' The surgeon added: 'HIPAA laws are in place to protect patients, and I will never discuss any details of a procedure unless the patient has chosen to share them or given me permission. 'Every patient is unique. This isn't "cookbook" surgery - it's thoughtful, personalized care.' Fisher is famed for being the man behind many of the Kardashian and Jenner family procedures. The board-certified surgeon also did Kourtney Kardashian's breast augmentation and removed a tumor from Khloe's face. He even gave a pre-transition Caitlyn Jenner a revision facelift, which was also featured on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
