Time of India19-05-2025
Shifting along the Aquarius–Leo axis, the 2025 Rahu-Ketu transit creates an elemental conflict between Air (Aquarius) and Fire (Leo). This axis provokes a tug-of-war between group creativity and personal identity, intellect and ego, detachment and expressiveness.
From May 18 (May 29 as per true), as this karmic axis awakens, it may disturb your aura and cause spiritual separation, weariness, emotional highs and lows, or disorientation.
Let us dive into 6 powerful crystal combinations to steer the karmic shift of this Rahu Ketu Transit in 2025
Labradorite + Citrine
This pair offsets Rahu's broad ideas with grounded, solar vigor. Labradorite helps you to access intuition and pierce illusionsespecially vital when Rahu in Aquarius inundates your head with hyperactive thoughts and futuristic distractions.
By energizing good confidence and onward drive, citrine offsets Ketu in Leo's aloofness. Step into new phases with spiritual understanding and brave action using this combo.

Opal is perfect for handling karmic relationships or heart-based shifts triggered by Ketu since it accesses subtle emotional and spiritual knowledge. They work together to foster intuitive clarity, emotional flow, and compassion.
Lapis Lazuli + Chrysocolla
This combination is the ideal cure for the emotional noise and mental fog of this journey. Lapis Lazuli sharpens your ability to see through Rahu's illusions and communicate with clarity, cutting through misunderstanding.
Chrysocolla heals emotionally and calms the ego-driven responses Ketu in Leo could provoke. With both emotional intelligence and visionary insight, this mix helps you stay grounded in reality.
Green Aventurine + Selenite
Rahu's drive for growth can seem unsettling; Ketu's need for spiritual cleansing might exhaust you. While Selenite removes auric obstructions and increases your vibration, Green Aventurine encourages development and emotional rebirth.
Your go-to combo for energetic reset is this one, particularly if you feel caught between ambition and capitulation.
Zebra Jasper + Amazonite
This natural and aqueous combination helps you discover inner equilibrium in the polarity of this axis. Ideal for controlling Rahu's erratic influence and Ketu's cut-and-release character, Zebra Jasper balances dual energies. Amazonite encourages emotional boundaries and open communication, thereby enabling you to make strong decisions free of overload.
Apply it when you are caught between head and heart, reason and emotion.
Blue Apatite + Pyrite
Blue Apatite clarifies your mind and guides you to worthwhile aims; Rahu in Aquarius intensifies ideas and detaches you from concentration. Pyrite counteracts the ego breakdown Ketu might cause in Leo by restoring fire and will. During a period when energy may seem scattered or inconsistent, this combination increases your aura by improving focus, confidence, and productivity.
How to Use These Crystal Combinations
You can apply any one of the following straightforward yet powerful techniques to maximize the full energetic assistance of these crystal combinations throughout the Rahu-Ketu transit.
While you sleep, put the crystals in a selenite bowl close to the head of your bed to cleanse and revitalize your aura.
Wear them instead as a pendant set exclusively in Panchdhatu or Ashtadhatu covered with titanium for best vibrational conductivity and planetary alignment.
Charging your bath water by putting the crystals (safely outside the water or in a waterproof pouch) nearby for 15–20 minutes before useideal for energetic detox and aura strengtheningis another potent method.
Select the approach that best fits your lifestyle and goal; even one practice used regularly can assist in rebalancing your energy throughout this karmic transition.

Jaishankar emphasises need for steady partners, warns against over-dependence on limited markets

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar highlighted the importance of dependable and steady partners as he shared some "common lessons" learned from the recent turbulence, like the Covid pandemic, conflicts, political and economic shifts, and trade vitality. In his remarks at the India-Russia Business Forum in Moscow, EAM Jaishankar highlighted several key lessons, including the need to address concerns over dependence on a limited number of markets, reliance on narrow connectivity, and the costs of insufficient research into new opportunities, partnerships, and domains. "Let me start with the big picture. In the last few years, we have experienced the impact of the Covid pandemic, of conflicts, of political and economic shifts, of new technologies, and also of trade volatility. Each was unique in itself, but together, they hold some common lessons. One is the importance of dependable and steady partners. Another is the value of shorter and more secure supply chains. A third is the concern about over-dependence on a limited number of markets," Jaishankar said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is this legal? A fifth is the reliance on narrow connectivity and limited logistics. And perhaps most of all, the costs of insufficient researching for new opportunities, partnerships and domains. It is this range of concerns and challenges that our gathering seeks to address," he added. Mentioning "a solid foundation of a time-tested relationship" between India and Russia, Jaishankar also highlighted the challenges for both countries to deepen cooperation. Live Events "We are today at a moment when our partnership is simultaneously experiencing consolidation as well as exploring new domains and opportunities. At one level, there is a solid foundation of a time-tested relationship on which we now seek to build a more contemporary cooperation. But at another, there are profound changes in our respective economies, as well as the uncertainities created by the global environment. How to grow business and how to deepen cooperation are no longer simple propositions," Jaishankar said. Jaishankar is on a three-day visit to Russia. The External Affairs Minister on Thursday co-chaired India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological, and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC). He will also meet the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and review the bilateral agenda and share perspectives on regional and global issues. The visit aims to further strengthen the longstanding and time-tested India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.

In a bilateral meeting with his Afghanistan counterpart, Pakistan's foreign minister claimed there was an "increase in terrorist attacks" in his country by terrorist outfits operating from Afghanistan, the Foreign Office said. In the last trilateral meeting in May in Beijing, the foreign ministers of the three countries had first agreed to expand the CPEC to Afghanistan to boost "trilateral" cooperation. India has been severely critical of the CPEC as it passes through Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. New Delhi is also opposed to China's Belt and Road initiative as the project includes the CPEC.

How much do lawyers earn in the US in 2025?

The legal profession in the United States is often associated with prestige and lucrative pay checks, but how much do lawyers really earn in 2025? The answer depends on a variety of factors such as experience, specialisation, employer type and location. Here's an in-depth look at the latest data. Average versus median salary According to recent estimates from Indeed and ZipRecruiter, the average annual salary for lawyers in the US ranges between $100,626 and $105,389. However, the median salary is significantly higher. US News & World Report states that as of 2023, the median salary for lawyers stood at $145,760. This means half of all lawyers earn less than this figure while the other half earns more. The top 25 percent of lawyers make more than $217,000 annually, while those in the bottom 25 percent earn below $98,030. What entry-level and senior lawyers earn Pay varies widely based on experience and location. Entry-level lawyers in smaller markets often start with salaries between $70,000 and $98,000. In contrast, seasoned attorneys practicing in major metropolitan hubs such as New York, California, Illinois and Massachusetts typically earn between $150,000 and $230,000. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo The difference reflects not just seniority but also the cost of living and demand in those regions. Specialisation can make or break your paycheck Not all lawyers earn the same, even at similar experience levels. Corporate lawyers and those involved in mergers and acquisitions usually command higher salaries, often ranging from $150,000 to $250,000. Criminal defence attorneys and personal injury lawyers usually earn between $85,000 and $200,000, though those with strong reputations and successful firms can go beyond this range. Intellectual property lawyers are also among the top earners, given the growing importance of technology and innovation law. On the other hand, public interest lawyers and nonprofit sector attorneys generally earn significantly less, often below $80,000 annually. Government lawyers face salary caps Lawyers working for federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, have capped pay scales. In 2025, the maximum allowed salary for government attorneys is $195,100, according to the US Department of Justice. The rare million-dollar lawyers At the very top of the profession, the rewards can be staggering. Equity partners at elite law firms routinely earn $1 million or more annually, and in rare instances, star partners at prestigious firms can make up to $10 million a year. These figures, however, represent the exception rather than the rule and require decades of experience, client networks and high-stakes litigation success. The big picture for aspiring lawyers When you consider all practice areas and locations, most US lawyers earn between $59,000 and $230,000 per year, with the sweet spot for many falling between $100,000 and $145,000. While the financial rewards are substantial, aspiring lawyers should weigh the cost of law school, which often exceeds $200,000, alongside the competitive job market and demanding hours.
