Birmingham Public Library to host 4th annual ‘A Novel Tasting' event

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Birmingham Public Library will host its 4th annual 'A Novel Tasting' benefit on Thursday, April 17.
The event will feature live music, a silent auction, complimentary drinks, catered food and BPL's signature wine, beer and spirits tasting. The event will take place from 6- 8:30 p.m. with a VIP reception from 5- 6 p.m.

Proceeds from 'A Novel Tasting' will help fund programs across all BPL locations.

Evanescence coming to Tuscaloosa Sept. 11

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Grammy Award-winning rock band Evanescence is coming to Tuscaloosa's Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in September, and tickets for the show are on sale now. The band has been active for more than 20 years, with their debut album, 'Fallen,' being released in 2003. During the 46th Grammy Awards, the band won Best New Artist and Best Hard Rock Performance for their song 'Bring Me To Life.' Evanescence will be making its stop in Tuscaloosa on Thursday, Sept. 11. The show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. The band will be accompanied by Poppy, as well as a second special guest that will be announced at a later date. Twenty One Pilots announces 2 Alabama tour dates in 2025

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Grammy-winning rock band Twenty One Pilots has announced their upcoming North American tour, 'The Clancy Tour: Breach 2025,' which will include two shows in Alabama. The tour was announced alongside the release of their new single, 'The Contract.' This is the first single off their newest album, 'Breach,' which is set to release in September. Concerts coming to Birmingham area in June The tour will stop at the Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach on Oct. 14, followed by Birmingham's new Coca-Cola Amphitheater on Oct. 17. Fans can sign up to get first access to tickets on the band's website. The pre-sale will open on June 17 at 10 a.m., and the general sale will open on June 20.
