Eagles superfan, Gillie Da King, and former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton traded shots recently over comments regarding Jalen Hurts.

Cam Newton pulled up some statistics from Gillie's music career. The numbers and the lack of accolades gave Newton some fuel in the argument. Then, he went viral for throwing his most powerful jab at the Eagles' superfan.
"We've known you to do a lot of things, but one thing I ain't never known you to be or do, Gillie, you ain't never been great at nothing. But he has, though. The only great thing that Gillie does and has done, he's a great mascot. ... Mascot! Glorified mascot!" Newton said.

In a recent video that surfaced on social media, Gillie was able to celebrate with the Lombardi trophy that the Eagles won back in February.
"Cam ain't never had one of these!" Gillie yelled in front of cameras. "I ain't going back and forth with you. Thank you, Jalen! Appreciate you, Jalen!"
Gillie's statement was factual, as Newton's NFC title run in 2015 didn't end with the Panthers taking down the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50. Still, the former quarterback had a career worth celebrating.
Newton holds many accolades from his playing days. He was an Offensive Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Most Valuable Player, All-Pro, and three-time Pro Bowler.
He might not have the Lombardi, along with a Super Bowl MVP like Hurts, but Newton's opinion should still hold value as a former player, with many accomplishments in the league.
