Zenvo's Next Hypercar Might Have an Even Better Engine: 'We're Already Working on a V-10'
But that's not all Zenvo has planned.
Last year, the Danish supercar maker
confirmed to
Motor1
that it was working on a smaller 'junior hypercar' that would sit just beneath the Aurora. This year, Zenvo reiterated those plans,
telling
Top Gear
that its 'junior hypercar' is still in the works—and that it will have a very unique engine: A V-10.
"We're already working on a V-10 version for our junior hypercar," Chairman Jens Sverdrup told
Top Gear
.
The V-12 underhood of the Aurora is a "modular engine," Sverdrup says, which means it can function in eight-, 10-, and even six-cylinder configurations. Better yet, Sverdrup confirmed that the engine "doesn't have to be a hybrid" like the larger Aurora. He says:
'The engine was designed from day one with future-proofing in mind, so it can be naturally aspirated, it can of course run as a non-hybrid too if need be. Emissions are the real issue, though. I think it will be tough to meet the next set of requirements without running a hybrid system.'
When Zenvo spoke to
Motor1
last year in Monterey, the company said that the same monocoque chassis from the Aurora would also be used in this smaller hypercar. "We can use the monocoque for other projects," noted Head of Zenvo Design Christian Brandt.
But before Zenvo even thinks about getting its baby hypercar on the road, the company is focused on bringing the halo Aurora to life. The 1,850-horsepower hypercar officially goes into production next year, with 50 examples of the road-focused Tur trim planned, alongside 50 examples of the track-capable Agil model.
The Zenvo Aurora is estimated to start at around $2.8 million.

Reid Hoffman says the Democratic Party 'really did alienate' parts of Silicon Valley — and blue states could learn from red states
Reid Hoffman said it's not surprising that some of his Silicon Valley pals have left the Democratic Party. "I regret this and wish it didn't happen, but I think the Democratic Party really did alienate a section of Silicon Valley and the tech people, whether it was attacks on crypto, whether it was kind of just attacks on Big Tech, all these things," Hoffman told Palantir cofounder Joe Lonsdale on a recent episode of Lonsdale's "American Optimist" podcast. A Democratic megadonor, Hoffman, spent billions trying to help Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024, only to see some of his former collaborators, including Elon Musk, go all out for Donald Trump. Hoffman said some in tech began to see Democrats as wanting to snuff out innovation. "One of the things that I think Silicon Valley shares is this like deep view that the way you make massive progress for humanity is creating scale technologies," Hoffman said. "And the principal way of creating scale technologies is companies, and so if you're attacking that and limiting it, then you have all kinds of problems." Hoffman expressed frustration that, despite being the cradle of tech, California's regulatory environment makes it difficult for companies to pursue some innovations. He pointed to Aurora Innovation, a now publicly traded autonomous trucking company that Hoffman's Greylock invested in, as an example. In May, Aurora said it had successfully tested a driverless commercial truck on I-45 in Texas. "I mean, look, so Aurora, a company headquartered in California, but, of course, in the modern regulatory environment, where are we driving our first heavy-duty trucks? Texas, of course," Hoffman said. Hoffman said he sends everyone he talks to a copy of Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson's bestseller "Abundance" because it shows that Republican-led states have better policies for things like autonomous vehicles and construction. "Abundance, while you could argue that it's written from a progressive standpoint, is very clearly there are a bunch of things that red states are doing better than blue states, and we should learn from them," Hoffman said. "We should do them."

Novo Nordisk (NVO) Sell-Off Wipes Billions in Market Value
July 30- Novo Nordisk (NYSE:NVO) continued to slide 7% on Wednesday after the Danish drugmaker cut its full?year outlook. Slower growth in its obesity franchise, led by semaglutide, weighed down the company's performance. Warning! GuruFocus has detected 1 Warning Sign with NVO. The company now sees sales rising 8%14% and operating profit up 10%16% on a currency?adjusted basis, down from prior forecasts of 13%21% and 16%24%. Management cited weaker U.S. demand for Wegovy and Ozempic amid rising competition from compounded GLP?1 therapies. Investors dumped shares fast. The sell-off erased an estimated $70 billion in market value, slashing Novo Nordisk's valuation to around $287 billion, down from roughly $357 billion a day earlier. Technical indicators show heightened selling pressure, with the 14?day Relative Strength Index at 26.4below the 30?level that often signals an oversold stock. NVO remains 64.9% below its record intraday high of $148.15 reached in June 2024. Some analysts maintain a positive stance despite the outlook cut. They point to Novo Nordisk's dominant GLP?1 pipeline and expect oral Wegovy approvals to support long?term growth, though they warn that near?term volatility may persist.
