Watch: David Johnson talks about FSU's running back room
"I think the biggest thing is they are working extremely hard," he said. "They've been doing a number of different things, they understand their role and we just have to put them into position to be successful."
He praised some of the younger options like Ousmane Kromah and Kam Davis, as well as veterans Roydell Williams, Gavin Sawchuk, and Caziah Holmes.
"He's different. He loves football, extremely smart. He's really competitive, wants to make sure he's doing everything right. He's trying to be perfect on every rep, and that's rare from a freshman," he said about Kromah. "I've been pleased with him."
Johnson also talked more about Kromah, Jaylin Lucas, and how they will rotate running backs during a game and season. Watch his full interview below.

College football expert Josh Pate ranks Notre Dame lower than the US LBM Coaches Poll
Many believe that Notre Dame will be one of the best football teams in the country, backed up by being ranked No. 5 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Josh Pate sees it a bit differently, ranking the Irish a spot below at No. 6. It's clearly still a very high placement, and matches what we saw from the AP Poll. The team that he differs the most on between the two poll is Alabama, who he ranks as his No. 5 team. There is an argument to be made that Notre Dame is better than the Crimson Tide, as they struggled last year and are ranked lower in both major polls at No. 8. The top four are the same, although Pate switched the order around, with Texas No. 1 followed by Ohio State, Georgia and Penn State. He's also very high on USC, as they just received votes in the polls. With Miami and Texas A&M also in his top-20, Pate has the Irish facing three ranked teams this fall. Regardless of how you look at it, Notre Dame will have a tough schedule this year, and shouldn't be questioned about that when the College Football Playoff committee makes its decisions. Is Tom Izzo a top 10 coach? See where he landed in a recent national list
See where Tom Izzo landed in a newly released head coaches rankings list heading into next season Despite having one of his best seasons in the last five years, Tom Izzo is not considered a top 10 coach nationally by one popular college basketball social media account. College Basketball Report -- a popular social media account known for putting together rankings and other lists -- has released their list of top 50 coaches heading into the 2025-26 season. Izzo was obviously pretty high on the list, but not as high as some may have had the hall of famer. College Basketball Report has Izzo as the No. 12 coach nationally entering the season. Here's a list of the coaches ahead of him in the rankings: The list itself isn't bad -- in my opinion -- when you start to look at who all is ahead of Izzo in the rankings. The one thing I would nitpick on is having Scott Drew ahead of Izzo. Sure, Drew won a national championship in 2021, but other than that season, he hasn't led the Bears to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament since 2017. So if we are playing a comparison game, I find it hard to have Drew ahead of Izzo based on both recent success and overall success. Alabama football 2025 season preview, predictions: London Simmons
Despite a loaded defensive tackle position room, could freshman London Simmons make an impact for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2025? A member of Alabama's 2025 recruiting class, Simmons comes to Tuscaloosa from the state of Mississippi where he was a summer enrollee for the program. Simmons is also coming off a phenomenal senior season at the prep level, and joins a loaded Alabama defensive tackle room looking to carry over some of that same success to college, starting as a true freshman this fall. Here is a look at everything you need to know about Alabama's newest defensive lineman London Simmons ahead of the 2025 season. London Simmons player information London Simmons career stats Simmons will be entering his first season of college football this fall. The defensive lineman has yet to compile any collegiate stats. London Simmons 2024 stats New to college football this season, Simmons is coming off a strong 2024 campaign at the high school level as a senior where he played at Hartfield Academy in Mississippi. Across 14 games, Simmons posted a stat line of 67 tackles, 27 TFL, and 11.5 sacks. London Simmons recruiting ranking According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Simmons was considered as the nation's No. 514 overall prospect in the 2025 class, as well as the No. 59 defensive lineman nationally. A three-star prospect, Simmons was also the No. 14 player in the state of Mississippi where he attended Hartfield Academy, and committed to Alabama back in June 2024. London Simmons 2025 season outlook A talented interior defensive lineman, it's likely an unknown as to how much action Simmons' sees during the 2025 season. As to why, that is because Alabama has a pair of starters cemented at defensive tackle in Tim Keenan III and James Smith, meaning that Simmons will likely not start in 2025. In addition to that, Simmons also has some experienced options ahead of him on the depth chart as top backups, meaning that the former three-star recruit is likely not in the immediate group to start the season as Alabama's top rotation options. However, don't count out Simmons emerging later in the season either, as the true freshman could be a factor in potentially stopping the run at times.
