Micah Parsons Next Team Odds: Will Cowboys Trade Star DE?
After the Cowboys and Micah Parsons have so far failed to agree on a contract extension, the star defensive end officially asked for a trade on Friday.

It would be shocking if the Cowboys actually traded Parsons, right?
Dallas' star defender has spent four years with the franchise, and since stepping foot on the field, he's been one of the most dominant forces in the NFL.
In those four professional seasons, he's been named a Pro Bowler four times, first-team All-Pro twice, second-team All-Pro once and was NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021.
He's also averaging just over 13 sacks and nearly 16 tackles for loss per season.
Still, Parsons is set to enter his fifth year with the Cowboys without a contract extension.
With that, Parsons posted a statement on X on Friday afternoon, expressing his frustration with not having an extension, and announcing that he no longer sees a future in Dallas.
Shortly after Parsons posted that message, Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb voiced his support for his teammate on the same platform.
So, if the Cowboys somehow decided it would be better to trade Parsons than give him an extension, where could he land?

Philly is arguably Dallas' biggest rival, and is the reigning Super Bowl champion. The Eagles had the best defense in the league last season, and were the only team that allowed fewer than 300 yards per game (278.4). They were also one of two teams that allowed fewer than 18 points per game (17.8).

Oregon Ducks land commitment from 5-star DB Davon Benjamin
Dand Lanning and the Oregon Ducks filled the summer offseason months with a lot of recruiting wins, and it doesn't appear that they are slowing down now that we're getting into fall, either. 5-star cornerback Davon Benjamin picked Oregon over the likes of the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines on Saturday afternoon. The 247Sports Composite rates Benjamin as the No. 35 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 4 safety. He stands at 6-foot, 170 pounds. While he is listed at safety, there is an expectation that he will move around in the secondary for Oregon. Benjamin is the Ducks' 17th member of the 2026 class, and the fifth 5-star player, which is the most in the nation. Ahead of Saturday, Oregon had the No. 8 class in the nation, but with the addition of Benjamin, they move up to No. 7. The commitment doesn't come as a major surprise, seeing as there was a crystal ball prediction from the 247Sports recruiting staff for Benjamin to pick the Ducks. With Benjamin now in the mix, Oregon wrapped up the remaining major targets left on its board. Over the next several months throughout the season, there are some players out there who the Ducks will likely work on trying to flip from other schools, and new prospects could pop onto the radar, but Oregon's class in 2026 has shaped up nicely. Cardinals injury update: CB Jaden Davis given injury settlement, opening possible return
Jonathan Gannon said there was a chance that 2024 seventh-round pick could return. Now it's possible. The Arizona Cardinals placed cornerback Jaden Davis on injured reserve last week following an injury in practice. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said there was a chance he could return later in the season. But for that to be possible, it would require him to be released from injured reserve with a settlement, because otherwise he would have had his season end. On Friday, the Cardinals made that transaction, releasing Davis with an injury settlement. According to Cards Wire's Howard Balzer, Friday was the deadline to give him such make such a move, allowing him to re-sign with the team later this season. He officially cleared waivers, per the league's Saturday transaction report. The NFL allows a player to re-sign with the team that released him with a settlement. League rules allow it after the settlement period (that depends on the amount the settlement was), plus a period of time, at least three weeks. The last time I can recall the Cardinals taking advantage of this rule was a decade ago in 2015 when they placed safety Chris Clemons on injured reserve in October with a hamstring injury, later releasing him from IR with an injury settlement. He later re-signed in December after Tyrann Mathieu tore his ACL.
