Crime-busting stars Robson Green and Rishi Nair are also back.
The duo will return as DI Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram for series 11.
Fan favourites Al Weaver (Leonard Finch), Tessa Peake-Jones (Mrs C), Kacey Ainsworth (Cathy Keating), and Oliver Dimsdale (Daniel Marlowe) are also back - alongside Nick Brimble, Bradley Hall and Melissa Johns.
In the last series, Geordie and Alphy didn't just crack cases in the sleepy village - they leaned on each other through emotional family battles and dark personal secrets.
Expect even more twists, tears and turns this time round.
Also this time round, Reverend Alphy finally feels like he's found his place in Grantchester - but not everything is as settled as it seems.
As old secrets bubble to the surface, Alphy is forced to reckon with parts of his past he's kept tightly under wraps.
Will he let his guard down and open his heart, or will he be forced to face some hard truths about who he really is first?
Last series also left viewers shocked after they spotted a familiar face when Emmerdale's Ned Porteous, best known as Joe Tate suddenly appeared on their screens.
Ned was playing the role of Harvey who was convinced his father had been murdered, despite evidence that confirmed it was suicide.
Grantchester fans stunned as Emmerdale favourite makes appearance alongside Robson Green
One fan stated: 'Joe from #Emmerdale in tonights #Grantchester filmed I guess before he came back as Joe!."
A second added: 'I recognise the actor playing Harvey in #Grantchester as he's also in #Emmerdale as Joe Tate!"
"That Joe from Emmerdale?" questioned another viewer.
The actor also appeared in rival soap EastEnders as Michelle Fowler's son Mark in 2019.

The 1% Club alphabet question wipes out a whopping 15 celebrity players - but can YOU crack the code?
The 1% Club aired an alphabet question that wiped out a whopping 15 celebrity players during the latest all-star special - but can YOU crack the code? The ITV show - hosted by Lee Mack - aired a Soccer Aid special earlier this month (June 7 2025) ahead of the annual charity event at the Old Trafford on Sunday (15 June 2025). The likes of Jill Scott, 38, Iain Stirling, 37, Tony Bellew, 42, and Chris Kamara, 67, took to the studio to see if they could get the 1% question. But at the 30% question round, a huge number of celebrities got the boot. Presenter Lee asked the famous faces: 'Which England footballer is spelt out in this code below?' as they were shown nine different symbols. The players were given the options of: A) Mary Earps, B) Ella Toone and C) Fran Kirby. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. After their time was up, Lee said: 'Wow. We've lost 15 of you... 'Let's look at the answer. It's Frank Kirby.' He then went on to explain: 'The only symbol which is repeated represents the second letter of the first name and the third letter of the second name. 'Fran Kirby is the only name that has a repeated letter in those positions.' The host confessed that the person that they thought might win the show was out after the question - Mark Pugatch. Lee asked: 'What happened Mark?' Mark replied: 'I still don't understand it.' Lee confessed: 'Well if it's any help Mark, I read it out and I actually don't understand what the hell they're talking about either.' 'That was beyond me,' Lee said. 'I was trying to work out what the logic was, or whatever. Got nowhere near it.' Footballer Ella Toone, 25, got it right. Speaking about the answer, she said: 'I was gutted it weren't me!' The presenter then went over to Love Island voice over Iain, who hadn't used any of his passes yet and he asked what has been his favourite Soccer Aid so far. Iain said: 'Well I've played in a couple, commentated on a couple, basically it's you showing up every year saying that you're too old and you're never doing it again, and then you score a world in and you come back again the next day.' Earlier this month a recent tricky letters question wiped out 11 players on The 1% Club. During a recent instalment of the programme 11 people got a question wrong as they took on the 70% round. Presenter Lee asked the players: 'If you write the words HIGHER and LOWER with alternating letters, what do you get?' They were given three options to pick from in just 30 seconds. The options included: A) HLOIWGEHERR B) HLIOGWEERR or C) HLIOWGEHERR. Presenter Lee, 56, asked the players: 'If you write the words HIGHER and LOWER with alternating letters, what do you get?' Trying to keep things light while they were trying to figure out the answer, Lee joked: 'I think that first one is the name of Hagrid's German cousin.' The crowd found his comment funny and burst into laughter. Lee then revealed that the correct answer was option B HLIOGWEERR. He continued: 'We lost 11 players there' and went on to speak to those who had to leave the competition. It comes after The 1% Club players were tripped up by an 'easy' spot the difference question - but can you solve it within 30 seconds? The 70% question, which is supposed to be one of the easier ones to figure out, proved to be tricky for several players. It read: 'What is the difference between these two images?' Alongside the question, two images were displayed of Coronation Street pub, The Rovers Return Inn. Host Lee quipped: 'That's easy this, one's on the left and one's on the right.' The question tripped up three contestants who were knocked out of the game. Lee revealed the answer and pointed out that the name of the pub on the right picture had changed to 'Ravers Return Inn' instead of 'Rovers Return Inn'. Another instalment last month of The 1% Club saw a question knock out a whopping 14 players. The 30% question read: 'Jamil is writing a limerick but needs a word that follows these rules to complete the last line... 'Two syllables, only two different vowels, starts with an even -numbered letter and contains at least three letters from the second half of the alphabet. Which of these words would work?' Players had to choose between Doggie, Blades, Hotel, Prizes and Rabbit. After 30 seconds, it was revealed 14 contestants got the answer wrong and were wiped out from the game. The correct answer was Prizes. The 1% Club airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.

The islanders get more than they bargained for in the latest challenge. But will the boys' 'plan' come back to bite them? Another week in the Love Island villa has started and there is plenty more drama on the horizon. The ITV show started with a bang seven days ago and it is showing no signs of letting up. Prior to the start of the latest season, host Maya Jama promised 'more drama' and 'more twists'. Already we've seen dumpings and surprise re-couplings - as well as plenty of bombshells. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Love Island will be back with a brand new episode on ITV2 and ITVX tonight. It will be live from 9pm - with the same timings continuing throughout the week. But what can you expect from the show tonight (June 16)? Here's the full preview: Things get heated between Meg and Malisha It is not only the Spanish sun that is heating up the villa, Meg and Malisha get into a heated discussion in the garden again. Alima comforts Malisha in the dressing room. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad After hearing her side, Alima has some thoughts on the situation, heading out to the kitchen to tell Meg and the group: 'I'm not gonna lie, that wasn't nice to see both of you, all the shouting…let's be nice to people.' Meg says: 'I said [to Malisha] I don't want you to feel like this, you're now mugging me off and being disrespectful - I don't want to argue with her.' Shea and Harry in Love Island series 12 episode 7 | ITV Shakira adds: 'I don't think she [Malisha] was being disrespectful going to the Hideaway.' Meg replies: 'That's your opinion, not mine.' Meanwhile that evening, Toni and Conor debrief about where they stand and more importantly where he stands with new bombshell Emily. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Toni tells him: "I think you know I have eyes for you, out of the three girls that came in last night, she's [Emily] obviously a sweetheart. I think her and I are very different. Are you looking for a sweet, mild girl or someone like me?' How will Conor respond? The next day, Meg is keen to bury the hatchet and pulls Malisha for another chat. Meg says: 'Third time lucky, we're gonna get it right this time…' But is third time really the charm? 'Got the Receipts' - Islanders get more than they bargained for in challenge Toni in Love Island series 12 episode 7 | ITV Later that afternoon, Tommy receives a text revealing the Islanders will be taking part in the first challenge of the series. The text reads: Islanders, it's time to check out the facts in today's challenge: Got The Receipts! #ProofOfPurchase It's a game of slip and slide along a special Love Island-style shopping till, that sees the Islanders slide down a conveyor belt, swipe their card and pick up a receipt, which reveals a fact about an Islander of the opposite sex. They then have to decide who they think the fact is about and kiss their chosen person, before finding out if they got it right. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Ben's up first with a receipt detailing an Islander that was stopped with handcuffs in her suitcase. He's sure it's Helena and gives her a snog, but it was really Malisha. Conor reckons the girl that answered the phone during sex to accept a potential job offer is Toni and they kiss, but in true triangle style - it's Emily. Meanwhile three of the boys - Harry, Dejon and Shea - have actually been busy making a secret pact to completely ignore the receipt questions and just pick the girl that they secretly want to kiss, with the trio agreeing to back each other up with their choices. But which girl does Harry secretly want to kiss? And when Dejon gets the chance to lock lips, is it Meg or Malisha that he's making a beeline for? Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad When it's Shea's turn to put their plan in action, he chooses to snog Megan, as Tommy watches on. Then it turns to the girls to slip and slide and they learn some surprising facts about the boys. Yasmin is correct to guess which Islander slept with a 50 year old woman at the age of 19, while one boy is called on to explain why he dumped a girl on FaceTime. And Harry surprises the Islanders when his own receipt is cashed in… Harry, Dejon and Shea's 'plan' comes back to bite them Later that evening, Tommy finds it suspicious that Harry, Dejon and Shea all ended up kissing the girls that they were most interested in outside of their own couples…Harry owns up to their plan telling him: 'We were all like, boys lets just forget the question and just say who you wanna kiss - so Shea was like I wanna kiss Megan, when he read it out, me and D said, 'That's Megan!'' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad A stunned Tommy replies: 'Oh my god, f****ng hell! What do you think will happen tonight then? That will all come out?' Harry adds: 'The girls are gonna find out!' Tommy then takes Megan to the Terrace and lets her know what he's been told. Megan reels and says: 'We f***ing knew it!' Tommy says: 'Shea said, 'When it's my turn say Megan' - I think that's out of order. I don't like confrontation, but I will stand up for what's right.' Getting more riled Tommy adds: 'He failed, you shut him down and he's still going for it, the only reason I think he's doing that is to piss me off and he's f***ing done it.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad As word of the boys' plan spreads around the Villa, the penny is starting to drop with some of the Islanders about the choices that were being made in the challenge. And while Harry protests 'It's only a challenge' Tommy makes the decision to pull Shea. As the other Islanders watch on, it seems the conversation isn't going as smoothly as it was playing on that slip and slide…

My Royal Ascot day one tips include a 40-1 beauty his trainer says ‘will improve a lot' after debut win
It's shaping up to be one of the best days of the year MATT CHAPMAN My Royal Ascot day one tips include a 40-1 beauty his trainer says 'will improve a lot' after debut win Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THEY say revenge is a dish best served cold — and that's exactly what Kieran Shoemark aims to deliver at Ascot today. The five-day Royal extravaganza kicks off with a bang, and every race will be live on ITV. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 It's been a trying, testing year for Kieran Shoemark already... but a Royal Ascot winner would right many wrongs Credit: Getty Just sit back and enjoy. It was only early Sunday morning when Shoemark found out he will ride DANCING GEMINI (2.30) in today's opening Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes belter over a mile. That gives him the chance to beat Lead Artist and Sardinian Warrior, two horses he adored before John Gosden sacked him for not winning the 2,000 Guineas on Field Of Gold. At the time, everyone was led to believe it was Field Of Gold's owner Juddmonte who had the issue with Shoemark. But subsequent events have proved otherwise. After all, Sardinian Warrior is owned by Marc Chan — and Shoemark gave the horse a peach to land the Queen Anne trial. Yet he has been ditched from the horse. Well, that can't be down to Juddmonte can it? There is every chance Classic class acts Rosallion and Notable Speech will improve past Lead Artist and Dancing Gemini — the one-two in the Lockinge — and I've long held the opinion Rosallion is the one to beat. However, the draw has fallen kindly for Roger Teal's stable star and I'm sticking with the horse who will run right to the line. Remember, back in the day, Dancing Gemini was far from disgraced in the Derby. However he's come alive this season back over a mile and the more you watch the Newbury Group 1 the harder it is to quite know how he got beat. Ideally he might prefer more juice in the ground this afternoon, but the draw has worked out very well with Lead Artist next door. I imagine Shoemark will track that rival and try and pounce late. What a start, I can't wait. The Group 2 Coventry Stakes for two-year-old colts over six furlongs is always a lottery and there have been some big-priced winners over the years. I'm going to chance BALLISTIC MISSILE (3.05) to shoot down his rivals for Richard Hannon and Shane Foley. A €260,000 yearling, the son of Mehmas — second to Caravaggio in the 2016 Coventry — got off to the perfect start when scooting home at York on debut over five furlongs. He looked green that day and will improve. This stiffer test will also suit him better. Back to Group 1 company for the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes — the old King's Stand — over five furlongs. A right Royal tough one this! Connections of REGIONAL (3.40) wanted to be drawn away from Night Raider and that's happened. They are both speedballs who want to get out and be away and gone. And Regional — second last year — might just be good enough to hang on for Callum Rodriguez. Field Of Gold is odds-on for the Group 1 St James's Palace Stakes for three-year-old colts over a mile. There is a real chance for RULING COURT (4.20) here to show his 2,000 Guineas glory wasn't simply down to Shoemark and Field Of Gold challenging too late. With two pacemakers, Ruling Court will get the perfect position in third or fourth to pounce on the leaders first. Of course there is a little bit of heart ruling head here for me, and I won't be surprised in the least if Field Of Gold — a horse I love for a superb operation in Juddmonte — follows up his Irish 2,000 success under the classy Colin Keane. But it's Ruling Court for me for Charlie Appleby and William Buick. All eyes will be on Reaching High for the King — not to mention Ryan Moore and Willie Mullins — in the Ascot Stakes. Hats will be orf if he wins at short odds but MANXMAN (5.00) might go well as an each-way hope from a good draw in stall four. While I dislike the horse and the way jockeys have been treated when riding him, there is a real chance here for AMBIENTE FRIENDLY (5.35) will bounce back to form in the Listed Wolferton Stakes. He has been hopeless in small fields this season, but they were never going to suit a horse who often is hard to settle and needs to run at a strong gallop. Here the former Derby runner-up has no excuses from a fine draw and gets Rab Havlin back on, who was on board at Epsom. CABALLO DE MAR (6.10) has been one of the success stories of the season and has risen up the handicap ranks from 65 to 97. He ran a blinder in the Chester Cup and bounced back from that second to win at Haydock and can take the closing Copper Horse Stakes. Good luck and Yeeehaaa!
