Azzi Fudd, a star player for the University of Connecticut women's basketball team, 2025 NCAA champions, joins the iHeart Women's Sports podcast and will launch her own podcast titled "Fudd Around and Find Out."
iHeart Women's Sports is the first-ever audio platform dedicated exclusively to women's sports, offering a unique perspective and insights. They have partnered with Fudd to co-produce a podcast in collaboration with Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton's Unanimous Media, celebrating the one-year anniversary of the platform. iHeart Women's Sports, with its unique focus, averages 89 million monthly listeners across nearly 500 broadcast radio stations.
'I think we can safely say that women's sports is not just having a moment, but rather is on a now-undeniable trajectory that has been building for years. One year ago we launched iHeart Women's Sports knowing that fans were eager to feel more connected to their favorite players, teams and even other fans, and we are continuing to drive that progress forward,' said Jessie Katz, Head of iHeart Women's Sports said in a press release. 'We're excited to celebrate this incredible milestone and introduce even more shows to our roster this year.'
Fudd, with her unique perspective as a star player and a woman in sports, will host the podcast herself. She has expressed her hope to inspire listeners while providing a platform for underrepresented voices in the sports world.
"I'm beyond excited to deepen my relationship with Stephen Curry and Unanimous Media as we launch 'Fudd Around And Find Out' with iHeart Women's Sports,' Azzi Fudd said in a press release. 'This podcast is a space where I can bring my full self—athlete, storyteller, budding entrepreneur and fan of the game—and highlight the voices that deserve to be heard. Whether we're talking hoops, culture, business or life beyond the court, I want every episode to feel real and empowering. This has been a dream in the making and I truly can't wait for the world to… 'Fudd Around And Find Out.'"
The first episode of "Fudd Around And Find Out" is set to be released in early August.

CJ Adams hits a leadoff homer and steals 3 bases as the Nationals beat the Twins 7-2

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — CJ Abrams had two hits including a leadoff homer, stole three bases and scored three runs on Sunday as the Washington Nationals beat the Minnesota Twins 7-2. Nationals starter Jake Irvin (8-5), a Twin Cities native pitching at Target Field for the first time, gave up two runs on five hits over seven innings. Josh Bell went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Matt Wallner homered and Harrison Bader had two hits for Minnesota, which has lost six of nine since the All-Star break. Daylen Lile tripled and scored on Paul DeJong's sacrifice fly in the fourth to put the Nationals on top 3-2. Washington broke it open with four runs in the fifth off Travis Adams (1-1), keyed by Alex Call's two-run single. Abrams hit the first pitch of the game from Twins opener Cole Sands for his 14th home run of the season. After the Twins tied it on Wallner's second-inning homer, Abrams manufactured a run for the Nationals. He led off the third inning with a single, stole second and third and scored on Luis García Jr.'s sacrifice fly. Minnesota tied it again on Trevor Larnach's sacrifice fly in the bottom half. Key moment Leading 4-2, the Nationals loaded the bases with one out in the fifth. Call hit a grounder up the middle that second baseman Brooks Lee was ready to turn into an inning-ending double play. Instead, the ball skipped off the side of the mound and caromed over Lee's head for a two-run single. Key stat Abrams has five leadoff homers this year and 12 in 470 career games. Up next Simeon Woods Richardson (5-4, 4.14 ERA) will take the mound for the Twins on Monday as they open a three-game series against visiting Boston. The Nationals travel to Houston, where Brad Lord (2-5, 3.39) will start on Monday. ___ AP MLB:

Perkins delivers winning hit as Brewers rally to beat Marlins 3-2 and avoid sweep

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Blake Perkins singled home the winning run in the ninth inning as the Milwaukee Brewers rallied to beat the Miami Marlins 3-2 on Sunday. The Brewers erased a 2-1 deficit by scoring in each of the final two innings to avoid the sweep. The Brewers have been swept just once, in their opening series of the season at Yankee Stadium. Eric Haase hit a one-out bloop single to center off Cade Gibson (2-5) in the ninth and advanced to third on Brice Turang's broken-bat double down the left-field line. Gibson intentionally walked Jackson Chourio to load the bases. Perkins then lofted a 3-2 pitch well over the head of center fielder Dane Myers. Perkins had scored the tying run in the eighth after entering as a pinch-runner, stealing second and coming home on Andrew Vaughn's two-out, ground-rule double off Ronny Henriquez. Milwaukee's Trevor Megill (3-2) allowed a two-out double to Javier Sanoja in the top of the ninth, but right fielder Isaac Colins made a running catch of a fly ball to end the threat. Miami's Heriberto Hernández homered for a second straight game. Key moment Miami led 2-1 and had runners on first and second with one out in the seventh when the Marlins ran themselves out of an inning. Aaron Ashby picked off Myers at second base. Ashby then caught Xavier Edwards leaning off first and threw to Vaughn, who threw Edwards out at second. Edwards initially was ruled safe, but a replay review overturned the call. Key stat Chourio doubled twice and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Paul Molitor had a franchise-record, 39-game hitting streak in 1987. The only other Brewers to have hitting streaks of at least 20 games are Davey May in 1973, Ryan Braun in 2011, Cecil Cooper in 1980 and Corey Hart in 2007 and 2010. Up next Miami heads to St. Louis for a three-game series. The scheduled starting pitchers for Monday's series opener are Miami's Edward Cabrera (4-4, 3.48 ERA) and St. Louis' Andre Pallante (5-7, 4.91 ERA). The Brewers open a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs on Monday. The All-Star pitching matchup features Milwaukee's Jacob Misiorowski (4-1, 2.45) and Chicago's Matthew Boyd (11-3, 2.20). ___ AP MLB:

Alex Bregman hits 2-run HR, Red Sox take series vs. Dodgers with 4-3 win

BOSTON (AP) — Alex Bregman hit a go-ahead, two-run homer in the fifth inning and the Boston Red Sox hung on to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 Sunday for a series win. Rookie Roman Anthony added an RBI triple for the Red Sox, who captured their first series since the All-Star break. Boston had a 10-game winning streak entering the break. Boston closer Aroldis Chapman walked off the mound with an apparent injury in the eighth inning. In to face the top of the Dodgers' order, his velocity was noticeably down to the mid-90 mph on his fastball instead of the high 90s to low 100s. Michael Conforto hit a solo homer and had two doubles for the Dodgers. Jordan Hicks entered and got out of a two-on, one-out mess when Teoscar Hernández lined to second and Ceddanne Rafaela dove to the bag, beating Hyeseong Kim for double play. Hicks pitched the ninth for his second save. Brennan Bernardino (4-2) got an out in relief for the victory. Facing his former team for the first time since getting the final out of the World Series for them last fall, Boston right-hander Walker Buehler gave up three runs in 4 2/3 innings. The Dodgers had opened a 3-1 lead in the fourth against Buehler when Conforto homered and Mookie Betts added an RBI single. Dodgers starter Dustin May (6-7) allowed four runs in five innings. Key moment Bregman hit a first-pitch sweeper from May over the Green Monster that caromed off a billboard onto the field. May dropped his head back in disbelief after the ball left Bregman's bat. Key stat Boston improved to 11-2 in its past 13 games at Fenway Park. Up next Dodgers: RHP Yoshinobu Yamamoto (8-7, 2.55 ERA) is scheduled to start Monday in Cincinnati. Red Sox: RHP Richard Fitts (1-4, 4.86) is set to start Monday at Minnesota. ___ AP MLB:
